Reshmi Ghosh to get hitched

Reshmi Ghosh who shot to fame as Bhoomi in Kyunki… says she will soon get married to her beau Amit Gupta. The duo can be presently seen swirling to the tunes of Bollywood numbers on Nach Baliye 4.

"Marriage is soon on the cards," says Reshmi, "Once we wrap up Nach Baliye maybe…Most probably early next year we will tie the knot."
Ghosh says she always wanted to get married to a marwari or a catholic guy and the day she met Amit, she realized that her desire will surely get fulfilled one day.

"Amit is a marwari. I love marwari culture and getting married to him will be like a dream come true!" says the excited model cum actress.

Reshmi says she hope to have a big fat Indian wedding.

"I want to do it in a very grand way. A wedding of 11 days with all my friends and relatives," says the actress.

So will it follow Amit's marwari culture or Reshmi's Bengali tradition?

"I really haven't thought about it as of now! But shaadi ke baad ladke ke yahaan ka culture hi follow kiya jaata hai," she says.

Amit and Reshmi met at Namit Kapoor's acting school. Soon after that they became very good friends and gradually they became a couple.

Happy Birthday: Arjun Rampal

Stunning supermodel turned struggling actor turned super hot rock star. We trace Arjun Rampal's Bollywood journey as he turns 36 on November 26.

Perfect, chiseled features, long dark tresses, a manly voice and a tall, lean frame make Arjun Rampal the quintessential Mills and Boon hero who is tall, dark and handsome. Discovered at a Delhi disco by enfant terrible Rohit Bal who made him his protg, Arjun has modelled all over the world. After setting fashion ramps on fire, he turned his intense gaze to Bollywood. His debut film, Pyaar, Ishq aur Mohabbat, flopped but women couldn't stop gushing over Bollywood's new entrant. He won several best debut awards. His performances in Aankhen and Ek Ajnabee were competent as he held his own opposite stalwart Big B. The movies were fairly successful at the BO and the title track of Ek Ajnabee was a huge hit especially because of a tattooed Arjun looking absolutely delectable in the video. Arjun's sex appeal couldn't save Yakeen, Elaan, Asambhav, Vaada or Dil Hai Tumhara from sinking at the BO.In 2006, He set up his own production house with wife Mehr Jessia called Chasing Ganesha Films. No one saw their maiden venture I See You which starred Arjun and had cameos by SRK and Hrithik. Arjun's supporting roles in Kabhi Alvida Na kehna and Don marked the beginning of the success of his career as both movies were big hits and working with SRK, Karan Johar and Farhan Akhtar pushed him into the big league. 2007 was the year of smash success Om Shanti Om. Arjun was sufficiently slimy and fabulous as unscrupulous producer Mukesh Mehra aka Mike. He deservedly won several awards for his negative turn. If only all villains could be as good looking as him…

2008 was another big year for Rampal's career. Runaway hit Rock On thrust him into the A list bracket and heralded the arrival of Arjun the intense actor. He shared some crackling chemistry with buddy Farhan Akhtar in the film and looked every inch the rockstar that he portrayed. No woman in the audience could take her eyes off him in the movie, especially in the climax scene with his long hair and guitar.

He has been touring all over the country with the Rock On cast and strums all the right notes on the guitar.

EMI didn't do well at the Bo but Arjun was as delectable as dark chocolate in the film and perfectly portrayed bad boy DJ Ryan.

He also won accolades for his restrained turn in festival favourite The Last Lear. His presence has helped up the TRPs of Nach Baliye 4 which he co-judges with Farah Khan and Karisma Kapoor.

On the personal front, he has two daughters Maahika and Myra with wife Mehr. Residing on Bandstand, Bandra he is good friends with neighbours Farhan Akhtar and Shah Rukh Khan. Their children even attend the same school. He was recently voted 'sexiest dad' by a glossy and he deserves it.

He plans to open a chain of nightclubs called LAP (Lounge and Party) across the country.

Arjun will be seen in Fox, The legend of Kunal and Rajneeti next.

Blessing in disguise
While the rest of the country was upset about the TV strike, there were some who enjoyed every minute of this break. The Nach Baliye contestants like Naman Shaw, Jaspal Bhatti and Abhijeet Sawant have been rehearsing everyday to hone their dancing skills. The celebrities who have received lukewarm response to their dancing skills, made the maximum of this break.

"The judges Karisma Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Farah Khan have been strict but not unreasonable. Pointing out flaws isn't an offensive act. It's their job and I respect that," says Naman.

The Nach Baliye team has geared up after the strike was called off. "I'd say that the competition will now get tougher," warns Jaspal Bhatti. The men admit that they used the time in rehearsing. "As there was nothing much to do, I was busy getting my act right. Meghan (Gupta) and I have been rehearsing every day for five hours. So in a way the strike worked for us," says Naman.

The shooting of the show starts today and the contestants are all up for it. After rectifying their mistakes and synchronizing themselves they feel that they will raise the bar. For the sake of the whopping winning amount of 75 Lakhs they better pull up their socks.

Sudeep and Anantika to perform in injured condition

While many of our small screen stars had a blast during the strike, Nach couple Sudeep & Anantika Sahir have had a very tough time. They recently injured themselves and will perform in the injured condition for the next episode.

Marriage is far away: Shaleen

Love birds Shaleen & Daljeet have come a long way in their relationship and while the two can't live without one another, they say marriage presently is not on the cards for them.

"Marriage? kab karein? Kal toh main busy hoon aur parso bhi mujhe kuch kaam hai. It will not happen so soon. We haven't even thought about it," smiles Shaleen. Both of them feel that presently they want to focus on their careers and Nach.
"Marriage is something which is associated with society but love deals solely with two individuals involved," explains the lover boy, "Toh first stage is love… Filhaal toh hum dono khud mein hi itne busy hain ki society ke bare mein abhi socha nahi. Once it comes to the society, the next day we'll start thinking about marriage."

What do they like about each other?

"She's too perfect and mindblowing! Badi mushkil se ek acchhi ladki pataai hai…I just can't let her go," smiles the actor holding his lady love tight. While Daljeet on the other hand has a different thing to say, "The fact that only I can understand his jokes at the right time makes me feel great!" says Daljeet.

What do they share in common?

According to Daljeet, duo has many things in common. "We both have the same sense of humor and the most co-incidental part is that we both think the same thing at the same time! Like if I think of going for a particular movie, Shaleen has the same thing in mind at the same time!" says the Nach girl.

Shaleen has done dailies like Santaan, Grihasti and many others and will soon be seen in soap with romantic comedy. Daljeet started her career from Kulvadhu and did many other dailies. The couple is presently swirling their bodies hard in the tunes of rocking Bollywood tracks.
