  • As the auspicious month of Ramadan starts,
    may the crescent-shaped moon brighten
    your path toward enlightenment and
may Allah bless you with peace and grace.
    Wishing you a Happy Ramadan!

Happy Ramdan to you and all celebrating on the forum! Is this when you have your fasting period as well?

I know Iftari which is what you have after the fast? Or is it before? Can someone tell me what the Fast is actually called? I always want to know more about others cultures!

Thanks guys!

Fast is The common practice during Ramadan is fasting from dawn to sunset. The pre-dawn meal before the fast is called the suhur(in Bengali we call Seheri), while the meal at sunset that breaks the fast is the iftar.
