Well, in my story i'm going ahead with this thought that Singhanias aren't involved in human trafficking business. About Ponky and Monil, I'm going to reveal about it as well. I just felt that it was a bit forced in the show that Monil and Ponky were involved in the murder and molested Noor. I'm not going in that direction.

About the revenge. Honestly, pure season mein there hasn't been a strong reason for revenge. So, I'm not setting my story upon revenge.

Makes sense actually!😊 In the show, cheels were defined evil, but their actions never justified that😆

Bani kept talking about cheelon ne bure kaam kiye hai, but woh bure kaam krte hue bss ek scene dikhaaya aaj tak!😆 Strange😆

Tumhi story is hell of iteration yrr I literally feel like am reading a novel

That ahana chachi angle was so creative! Kaha se laati ho aisi creativity Am so glad, I came across this❤️

Its as if, I don't ever want this FF to end! Its that good

Please keep continuing!❤️

Wonder how interesting the show would have been had the plot been even 1% as gripping as yours is!!!

After veer if there is one character that has fascinated me a lot that would be teer. That insight into his mind and his life is really well written.

Aahana singhania, her entry back into singhania's life is going to constrain already complex family dynamics of singhanias.

Awww..ponky saying sorry to aahana and trying to defend his dad!! That so sweet and heartbreaking at the sametime!!!smiley28smiley38

She already shares a very tumultuous relationship*non relationship* with sam, daksh and Pawan. Very interesting!!

That semicolon concept is beautiful and the way aahana explains everything to veer makes it just amazing. A good lesson to have in life as well I've already written in down somewhere else so thanks!!smiley31

For all his cowardice, ponky today has proved that he literally is parchai of veeranshu!!! The way he just wasn't ready to budge until veer gave him order as cheel rajkumar..me likes it very much!!!

I am really loving your Bani!!!smiley27

The way she is just so protective of veeranshu. That whole forest seen was really well executed.smiley32

This was what we wanted in the show,at least let the audience have an idea of how powerful your heroine is if that's what you're going around and telling to everyone!!!

So jai mathur has gone ahead and declared his morcha..huh!!!

This latest plan of his will now close all doors of entry into the naaglok for him. But then a lot of naag naagins have tried to steal naagmani for their own personal gains..so let's see how it plays out??!!

I wonder if it was only jai and chandrakala involved in this robbery or did maarkat also have a hand in it??

Aww..my caring veeranshu. He literally made it rain for that little birdy. So sweet!!!

So today jai got the glimpse of the madness that resides in veeranshu singhania. That sankipan is never going to go anywhere it's always going to stay. Because that sankipan is not cheel side of him or human side of him.

Madness is not a characteristic or nature of veeranshu, no, that pagalpan, sankipana is Veeranshu singhania.

Veer trying to hide naagmani from the cheels..hmm..is it you giving us a hint that in future the cheels might get greedy for it!! I hope not!!!

See, I'm trying to shorten my comments smiley37

Chapter 55

“Veeranshu, hume kisi bhi tarah se who naagmani Jay se wapas laani hai.” Bani told Veer. Veer sat lazily on the bed.

“Bani, unfortunately, by now, woh Naagmani Chandrakala ke haath lag chuki hogi.” Veer suggested. He knocked out one of the rooks off the chess board.

“But mujhe abhi samajh nahi aa raha ki Jay pohocha toh pohocha kaise Naagmani tak.” Bani paced.

“If I was a naag, I would’ve managed to do it too.” Veer answered. Bani looked at him confused.

“Flashback mein jaao, Bani. Nageshwari’s first ever mistake which was the last one she made.” Veer reminded her.

“Jaise Aakesh injure hoke aaya tha and pleaded Nageshwari to help him. Similarly Jay bhi toh kar sakta hai. He must have found someone who knew where naagmani was kept and managed to save himself.”

“Aisa kon ho sakta hai jise naagmani ka pata hoga?”

“Naagrani.”

“Kisi bhi haal mein nahi. Bela kisi bhi haal mein Jay ke haath naagmani nahi lagne degi. Impossible. Main aankh band karke yeh baat keh sakti hun ki Bela ek second ke liye bhi Naagmani ka pata Jay ko nahi degi.”

“Bani, do you know that if the pawn goes enough step ahead into the enemy’s territory, it becomes a queen?”

“Veeranshu, main yahan important baat kar rahi hun aur tum -” Bani looked at Veer. He looked at her winked. “Tum kehna chahte ho ki dadi ne Naagmani ka pata Jay ko diya hoga? After how he tried to kill me at Naag Mandir?”

“Bani, those who keep their stakes high would be ready to take big risks.”

“Veeranshu, main yeh baat maanti hun ki dadi ko tum pasand nahi ho and she also doesn’t approve of us par itni badi baat nahi kar sakti. She had herself been Naagrani once. To think ki woh aisa kuch karengi. Main nahi soch sakti. Not to mention, she’s my grandmother. AT the end of the day she is on my side. Mujhe pata hai meri family tumhari jaise nahi hai ki ek durse se chipak ke rehte and stay together. But I don’t think she’ll betray me like that. Not to mention ki Jay ko Naagmani ka pata dena is the same as going against me. Jabki maine yeh bohot clear kar diya tha ki maine Jay ko kis category mein daala hai.”

“Look at the chess board, Bani. Jab hum castle banate hai toh ek taraf safety hoti hai but if they break through the castle, its checkmate.”

“Paheliya mat bhujao. Seedhe seedhe batao.”

“Think, gharwali, think. Aisa konsa trump card tha Jay ke paas yeh prove karne ke liye ki he’s your match?”

“That he’s Adi-Naag. Adi-Naagin and Adi-Naag are said to be each other’s soulmates.”

Veer gave a distasteful look.

“Point sahi pakda hai but you didn’t have to say that you and that dhabewala are soulmates.”

“So, you’re saying that its entirely possible ki dadi ne use pehle hi bataya hoga about Naagmani?”

“See, if I was that dhabewala. I’d have a plan of action. Motives 3 hai us point pe. One, hum dono ko alag karna. Two, somehow convince your family that he and you are the perfect match. Three, to find a back-up. Four, Somehow marry you. Agar woh tumhari dadi ko iss baat ka thought de sakta hai ki tumhe maine apne charm mein phasa liya hai. The very next point is the safety of naagmani kyuki sabhko pata hai. Aakesh Naag Mandir Nageshwari ke liye aaya tha but baaki cheel naagmani ke liye aaye the. Question arise hoga hi about its safety. Especially when even Naagrani Bela seems to be in your support. Tumhari dadi Naagrani reh chuki. She still considers herself in that post. Itna toh unhe dekhte hi samajh gaya main. She’s already a traditionalist. Not difficult to convince her that someone with a modern approach as you, for marrying and loving a cheel, you’d be fooled into giving cheels the naagmani. Toh jab Jay unhe brainwash kar raha tha ki main tumhare liye khatra hun tabhi naagmani ke security ka sawaal bhi uthata hoga. Bas uss moment of brainwash mein bata diya hoga.”

“Main aisa kabhi nahi karungi. Even if your life depends on it.”

“Ouch…”

“Dekho. Naagmani ek baat hai aur tum alag baat ho. I know I love you but I’m snake at the end of the day. We have priorities.” She grinned.

Veer pulled her over him and turned her over that she was below him, caged.

“I have priorities too. And the first one seems to be you.”

Veer’s fingers teased the six inch gap in her saree. The scales flashed. He pushed aside the half of the saree that covered her waist. Bani tried to push him behind but he grabbed her hand and pushed it behind her. He started kissing waist. He felt her react to it. Her skin reacted to his kiss. He kept kissing her waist. Bani sighed. The kissed travelled upwards till the edge of her blouse. He then moved upwards to the skin from where blouse stopped covering her upper body. Scales flashed on her arms as he continued his torture. His one hand kept her hands locked under her and the other hand was in her hair.

In college, when Bani’s friends would go on and gossip about how making out with their boyfriends was, she’d just roll her eyes. She had had a few kisses here and there but she’d swear that her husband could instantly make her want to pull off his shirt. She had never been wild like that or someone who’d feel that lust in a relationship but Veeranshu. Veeranshu something else. She’d blame him. He was the one who just knew how to turn her on. The worst part was that he’d just trail on and torture her till she was all flustered.

Bani tried to free herself but couldn’t. His hold was strong. Bani, this time, used her naagin strength but still she couldn’t free herself. It reminded her of the grip he had when he was cheel. Bani was very familiar with that deadly eagle grip. Just impossible to unlock herself from that grip. Eagles claws are deadly in that way. Once clasped closed, there’s no escape.

“Veeranshu….” Bani said.

“Hmmm….” He moaned.

“Veeranshu… utho. Abhi utho…”

“What?”

“Utho… abhi utho…”

Veer groaned in annoyance but sat up.

“Matlab acche khaase feel ki maar deti ho, sweetheart.”

Bani showed him her wrists. There was a bit of mark of his grip.

“Yeh dekho…”

“Sweetheart, zara sa nishaan ho gaya hai. Chala jaayega. Relax. Its not going leave a scar.” He chuckled.

“Veeranshu, main Naagin hun. Definitely no human grip would leave a mark on my wrists. I know when I am locked in an eagle’s grip.”

“Bani, ek toh mere dimaag mein abhi alag nasha ho raha hai. So, I’m not getting what you’re saying.”

“Acha… remember when you challenged ki tum mujhe Jay se nahi milne doge?”

“Haan. The challenge that I won.”

“Haan. Tabh tumne mera haath pakda tha.” Bani pointed to her arm.

“Bolna kya chahti ho.”

“Veer, tabh tumne apni cheel grip lagayi thi ki main tumhara haath chudha ken a bhaag jaau.”

“Haan”

“Same.” Bani showed her wrist. Veer shook his head a bit to brush aside the pleasure chemicals in his head to register what she just said. He looked at his hands.

“You’re telling me that just now, right now, I had eagle lock on your hands?”

“Haan.”

“But I still can’t feel my wings.”

“Feel your wings?”

“Birds fold their wings but they know it is there. Waise hi, we pull our wings inside our shoulders but we know its there. We can feel it being there. I can’t feel my wings.”

“I don’t know par mujhe exactly pata hai ki jiss tarah se tumne abhi zor se mera haath pakada that isn’t human. Utna zor se sirf ek cheel hi pakad sakta hai.”

“Yeh konsa naya khel khel raha hai Markaat mere saath?”

Veer looked at himself in the mirror.

“Veeranshu, yeh toh acchi baat hai. Matlab tum dheere dheer phir se cheel ban rahe ho.”

“But it isn’t that easy, Bani. Markaat itni asaani se ku lautayega mujhe meri cheel shaktiya?”

“Jo bhi hai. We’ll deal with it together.”

Bani corrected her saree that Veer had messed up. She then proceeded to fix her hair. Veer wrapped his arms around her waist. Bani smiled. He kissed her neck.

“I think we were having an important conversation.” Bani reminded him

“Hmm…” He said. “Tumne conversation disturb kiya with bringing up you and me.”

“Acha okay. Let’s get back to the conversation.”

“Na. Abhi main dimag laga ke thak gaya. I need a recharge.”

“Recharge? Kya tumhe abhi brandy peeni hai?”

“Mera recharge tum ho, gharwali.”

Veer’s hands slid into the folds of her saree on her waist. One of his hands moved up to trace to shape of her breasts. She sighed and his hand stopped there. She let herself lean back at him. He moved back until he was over the sofa. He turned Bani over so she was facing him.

He kissed her lips. She was between his legs and over his chest. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pushed her against his own chest. Her hands were in his hair. The two kissed passionately. Both of them wild and crazy.

“Veer bhai…” They heard the voice while the door began to open. Bani jumped up. Veer rubbed his temples.

“Kya hai mere pyaar ke dushman?”

Ponky bit his tongue.

“Aap dono kuch kar rahe the kya?”

“Kya lagta hai?”

“Sorry..”

“Tere sorries waise bhi useless hai. Bol.”

“Hume laga ki aap humare saath bahar chaloge toh….”

“Iss cheez ke liye tune mera romantic mood bigaad diya?”

“Continue. Bye…”

Ponky ran away with that.

“Anyway. Abh pata nahi aur kya kya problems hone wali hain.”

“Bye the way. Just a hunch par agar tumhari dadi ne uss loser dhabewale ko naagmani ke baare mein bataya hai. Toh tumhara ultimate plan to destroy Chandrakala bhi bata diya hoga.”

“Veeranshu, agar koi hai jo iss baat ka pata kar sakta hai ki actually mein koi naagpash naaglok mein hai ya nahi toh woh Chandrakala hai.” She exclaimed. “Agar yeh hai toh we have to find out. We can’t risk to let them get their hands on it.”

“Well, I do know someone who would know of this.”

Veer got up. He started walking out of the room and Bani was behind. He knocked on Sam’s door in the way. Sam walked out.

“What?” Veer just signalled Sam to follow him. Sam did so. The three went down to the basement where they had kept Shukla.

“Shuklaaa….” Veer called out.

Shukla got scared of Veer and tried to move away. Daksh and Ponky showed up behind them.

“Aap abhi cheel Rajkumar nahi. Mere saath aise…” Shukla tried to tell him.

“Saale, tune mere bhai ko maara hai. Aise toh nahi chodunga tujhe.” Veer commented and grabbed Shukla by his collar. “Point 1, tujhe bachane yahan koi nahi aane wala. Point 2, tujhe aise maarunga ki saare cheel, giddh aur baaz yaad rakhenge ki Veer Singhania se jo bhi panga lega uska kya haal karne wala hun.”

“Point 3, tu abhi zinda hai aur tujhe thoos thoos ke muft ka chicken khila rahe hai taaki tu kaam aaye.”

“So, how about you make yourself useful.” Veer sat down before Shukla on the floor, flipping the knife. Veer was good with intimidating people with his crazy.

“M…mu…mujhe kya pata hoga?” Shukla asked. Veer stabbed the knife on the floor and scratched it.

“Veer bhai form mein aa rahe hai.” Daksh grinned. “Shukla, better hoga tu muh khol de warna Veer bhai tujhe khol denge.”

“Ise naaglok ke baare mein kaise pata hoga?” Bani asked.

“Kyuki yeh kul-guru hai and very conveniently, he’s got people to do the job for him. Kul-guru ka matlab hi toh yeh hai ki humare kul-dushman, yaani naag, unke baare mein inse information hai.” Veer answered.

“Seriously?” Bani asked.

“Varna kyai se aise hi bekaar mein dad ne paala hai?”

“Dekh, Shukla. Tujhe kuch pata hai toh Veer bhai ke cheer phaad se pehle bol de warna agar Veer bhai uspe utar aaye toh their khaal hi utar aayegi.”

Veer flipped the dagger and put the blade on Shukla’s chin.

“Mujhe bas itna bata ki aisa kuch hai naaglok mein jo Chandrakala ko chahiye? Tu tha na involved uske saath. Pata hoga tujhe. Toh bas yeh bata.” Veer demanded.

“Usne kaafi waqt se suna tha ki Naaglok mein kahin naagpash hai. Use dhundhne ke liye kaafi waqt bitaya tha usne par kuch pata nahi chala. Sirf itna pata hai kisi ek naagraj ko diya gaya tha.” Shukla answered.

Veer took away the blade from Shukla’s chin. He grinned.

“Khilao ise thodi si biriyani.” Veer told his brothers. He left the basement and walked upstairs.

“Bhabhi, aapko dikha?” Daksh asked her.

“Veeranshu Singhania wapas aa raha hai? Yup.” Bani gave him a fist bump. Bani stayed with the cheel brothers and stared at Veer as he walked ahead. That same old walk. As if he owned the entire world. Like he was demigod.

“Bas kaash Veer bhai ki shaktiya wapas aa jaaye. Phir uss saale Nikhil ko batayenge ki saale ne kisse panga liya hai.” Ponky claimed.

“Veeranshu ko doubt hai but mujhe actually laga ki kuch shaktiya uski wapas aa gayi hai.” Bani told them.

“What!!?” They exclaimed together.

“Matlab hum dono the… and then Veer ne mujhe zor se pakada. Not the human grip but who cheel waali pakad.” Bani explained.

“Aap kar kya rahe the?” Ponky teased her.

“Haan, aadhi picture ke beech mein tune interrupt kiya na. Wahi.” Bani commented. The brothers laughed.

“Main point is that aapko actually laga ki Veer bhai ne actually cheel wali strength use ki?” Daksh asked.

“Haan. Veeranshu ko lagta hai ki Markaat kuch naya plan kar raha hai. Toh usse iss baare mein kuch baat mat karna.”

“Done.”

“Wahan khade rehke konsi panchayat kar rahe ho?” Veer asked.

“Aa rahe hai.” All of them said together and quickly joined Veer.

“Agar Shukla ko doubt hai matlab, definitely naaglok mein kahin naagpaash hai. You might have to go find it before Dhabewala and Chandrakala find it.” Veer told her. He turned to his brothers. “Ek baat. Tum sabh se. Iss baare mein dad se koi bhi kuch bhi nahi bolega.”

They nodded.

“Waise naagpaash ke baare mein hum Naag Mandir mein kuch pata chal sakta hai.” Bani suggested. That said, the cheel brothers and Bani went to Naag Mandir.

“Acha yeh batao ki tumhe andar aane ki ijazat di kisne?” Bani asked.

“Hum wahan shamshaan mein the. Sabh milke koi rasta dhundhne ki koshish kar rahe the ki kaise meri shaktiya wapas la sake. We didn’t find the aghori baba that we generally meet there par waha dusre aghori baba the. I had never seen him there before. He said that you’re in trouble. Unhone bataya ki tum mushkil mein ho aur bohot saare naag-naagin tumhare khilaaf ho rahe hai. Tum ghir gayi ho un logo se jo kabhi tumhare apne the par abh unhe Jay ne bhadka diya hai. Bas hum sabh chale aaye Naag Mandir. Since I was human by then, mujhe koi problem nahi hui par mere bhai aur woh cheel nahi aa paaye. Tabhi unhi aghori baba ne hume ijazat di. He specifically said ki jin cheelon ko main andar aane ki ijazat du woh mere saath aa sakte hai.” Veer answered. Bani was surprised.

Which aghori could be connected to Naag Mandir enough to give them the permission to enter the temple? How did the Aghori know what was happening with Bani? How did he coincidently reach Veer at the right time?

Bani and the cheel brothers walked up the temple. The question rang in Bani’s mind. She was in her human naagin form. Absent mindedly, Bani went up to the idol of Shiva there. She tripped and a bowl of ashes fell over the idol. It covered him with ashes completely.

“Bani…” Veer caught her before she could fall and hurt herself. “Kahan soch ke chal rahi ho. Careful.”

He then moved away to look at the temple. Bani looked at the idol completely covered in ashes. Head to toe. The idol of Shiva was in his meditating pose. Rudraksh beads on his wrists, arms and neck. Bani almost felt as if the lord himself looked at her from the idol. Covered in ashes and rudraksh. Forever in their pursuit of the eternal Shiva. Aghoris were patrons of Shiva himself. Very close to his heart. Shiva himself dwelled in burning grounds. Aghorinath.

Bani wondered for a moment. Did her Bholenath feel that she needed support and that’s why sent Veer to her?

“Bholenath, kya aapne Veer ko bheja tha mere liye?” Bani asked. “But aap cheelon ke saath kaise?”

“Bhabhi, Shiv ko pashupatinath bhi kehte hai na? So, how would it matter to him whether the one before him is a cheel or a naag? How would it matter to him whether it’s a tiger or a bull? What could it matter whether it is a snake or a mouse? What would it matter if it is a peacock or a snake? All of them are the same to him. Creatures that are born out of nature. Just that Naagvansh is highly devoted to Shiva since ages. Cheels never had the exposure to such godly elements. The most exposure was to Narayan. That too very few of them did. Those who did, died swiftly on Markaat’s orders.” Sam explained to her.

“You also think that Bholenath himself went to Veeranshu?”

“Nahi, bhabhi. I had heard that aisa ek aghori hai jise Naag Mandir mein entry hai. Satyug mein aapke marne ke ek aghori aaya tha. He's said to be one of the greatest devotees of Shiva. Isiliye uske khud Shiv ne allow kiya tha mandir mein. Aapke marne ke baad he came to see Aakesh and you. Unhone ne yeh predict kiya tha aap teeno phir se janam loge. I think he's the same aghori. Jo bhi hai the one thing I know is Shiv ko bhi yeh pata hai ki kuch bhi ho jaaye, Veer bhai aapka saath nahi chodenge. Connection aap nahi dekh rahi hai but hum sabhko dikhta hai. Veer bhai aapki dhal hai aura ap Veer bhai ki. You two protect each other, support each other and stand by each other. Isse zyaada kya proof ho sakta hai ki aapka joda kabhi Jay tha hi nahi. Pehle din se hi Veer bhai aapke jode the. Twin flames, Bhabhi. Ek hi soul hai but just into two halves. The core resembles the same attributes. That temper, determination, strength in the soul, the ability to go to any lengths to finish what is been expected of you, dangerous to cross, courage, loyal to people who are loyal to you aur wahi ziddipan. Yeh jo core hai. Match karta hai aapka aur Veer bhai ka. Rest of them are like puzzle pieces. Veer bhai aapko complete karte hai aura ap Veer bhai ko.”

“Twin flames?”

“Haan. You’ve never heard of it?”

“Nahi toh…”

“Basically, one soul that is split into two halves. One perfect soul that is cut into two halves. Jahan core same hota hai, baaki attritubues compliment karti hai. They clash intensely. Almost comes to a toxic level at times. You’re not going to deny that at some point Veer bhai’s obsession and possessive nature for you can burn down the entire temple?”

Bani chuckled.

“Adi-Naagin.” Sapera baba showed up.

“Sapera baba, abh aap kaise hai. Mujhe maaf kar dena. Main pehle nahi aa paayi. Pehle aati toh shayad Panditayin ka yeh haal hota hi nahi.” Bani apologized.

“Nahi, Adi-Naagin. Der se hi sahi par waqt rehte aa gayi aur aapne hi Panditayin ko bachaya hai. Warna shayad woh Adi-Naag hum sabhko maar deta.”

“Sapera baba, ek baat bataiye. Kya aapko kuch pata hai ki aakhri baar kise Naagpash diya tha? Mujhe yeh toh pata hai ek naagpash that Indrajit ke paas jo use Bholenath ne diya tha. Par ek aur naagpash hai jise Sheshnaag ne kisi naagraj ko diya tha. Aapko kuch pata hai ko woh konsa naagraj tha?”

“Adi-Naagin, uss Naagraj ka naam tha Vardhan. Vasuki naagvansh ka Naagraj tha. Par Markaat ne use maar diya tha.” Sapera baba told her. “Par aapko Bholenath zyaada bata sakte hai.”

“Ek baat batao, tum naag kya har cheez mein apne Bholenath ke paas bhaag jaate ho? Like acche khaase meditate kar rahe hai. Unki shaanti bhang karte rehte ho sabke sabh.” Veer commented. He moved around. His eyes fell on the painting. Nageshwari’s painting. Veer put his hand over his heart.

“Bhai. Kitni hot hai. I swear…” Ponky commented. Veer hit him on the head.

“Oye… Bhabhi hai teri.”

“Kya? Humari Bhabhi toh Bani hai. Ise kahan humari Bhabhi bana rahe ho?”

“Oh. Let me introduce. Meri zindagi ka pehla pyaar. Meri Aashiqui ka pehla stop. Pehli baar jise dekh ke mujhe ishq ki hawa lagi…” Veer twirled around with his hands open. “Meri Nageshwari…” Veer told Ponky. “Meri jaan jispe qurbaan hai.”

“Seriously? Yeh Nageshwari hai? Damn, bro. No wonder aap ise dekh ke pagal ho gaye. Koi bhi ho jaata.” Daksh agreed. Veer grinned. He walked to the main entrance of the temple.

“Main exactly yahan khada tha aur waha, saare naag-naagino se ghiri khadi thi. Qayamat tha.” Veer told his brother. Sam, Bani and Sapera baba looked at Veer telling Daksh and Ponky about the whole scene. “Woh wahan se sweetheart ne mujhe phek diya. Bas….girta gaya girta gaya girta gaya….”

“Udd jaate na, Veer bhai. Cheel the.”

“Na. Mujhse Nageshwari ne wada kiya tha woh mujhe 1000 maut degi. Har janam mein meri jaan legi.”

“Veeranshu…”

“Aur maine usse wada kiya tha ki mujhe qubool hai. Abh pehli maut di toh uss wade ko nibhana hi pada.”

Ponky and Daksh went over the edge to check ho high was it. Veer sat on the edge, almost leaning back.

“Veeranshu, pagal ho kya? Gir jaaoge? Dimaag ghar chod aaye ho kya?” Bani shouted at him.

“Dude… kya halat hui hogi yahan se girke. Har jagah patthar hi patthar hai. Pehle haddiyan tooti hongi, phir backbone bhi tooti hogi.”

“Na… mujhe toh sirf uski Aankhen yaad hai.” Veer answered.

“Pagal mat bano. Please.” Bani told him to behave himself. Sapera baba had never seen a man as mad as Veer. He had the worst sort of death but still would be willing to fall over again. It had to take someone completely off their mental balance.

“Yeh sach mein pagal hai kya?” Sapera baba asked.

“Ishq mein deewana pagal na ho toh woh ishq hi kaisa.” Veer answered and made him turn around. He took him towards Nageshwari’s portrait. “Ek baar dekho ise. Koi deewana na ho toh kya hoga? Uski aankhon mein woh aag dekhi hai? Uski smile nahi dekhi aapne. Jiss tarah se suraj haule haule use chu ke sone jaisi chamak deta tha, woh nahi dekha. Uski mehek mehsoos nahi ki. Jaise suraj khud hi uska deewana hote jaa raha ho. Alag nasha hai uski aankhon mein. Ek baar jisne dekha, woh puri tarah hi uske jaadu mein aa jaata.”

Sapera baba turned to look at Bani in question. Bani noticed Veer’s inner Aakesh in that moment. Obsessed with her. Madly in love with her. Bani walked up before him. The moment she reached before him, she had taken Nageshwari’s form.

“Ho gaya?” Veer pushed his head back against the pillar. That same madness in his eyes. Lovesick and totally out of his wits. His inner Aakesh was exactly like that.

“Tum kaho toh jaan bhi haazir hai, sweetheart.” He answered. “Par pyaar khatam nahi hota aur na hi khatam hone dena chahta hun. Shayad humare haathon mara, isiliye itna deewana hun, bas itna hi chahta hun ki har janam bas tumhare haathon marun. Phir agle janam aur deewana ho jaau.”

Bani returned to her original form.

“Theek hai. Toh tum yahan baitho aur Nageshwari ko dekhte raho. Main jaa rahi hun. Tumhe le jaane wali thi apne saath kyuki mujhe laga janab thoda dimag chalaenge but clearly you’ve left your brains at the door. So, its not going to be of help.” She started to leave but Veer caught her wrist and stopped her.

“Acha baba, theek hai. Chalo.” Veer told her with a smile.

“Nahi. Tum bas yahan khade rekhe portrait dekhke deewane hote phiro. Yahan zinda ladki puch rahi hai tumse kuch par aapki shayari khatam nahi ho rahi. Shayar bane phiro. Main jaa rahi hun. Haath chodo mera.”

Veer smiled. She had got angry.

“Haath chodne ke liye thodi na pakada hai.”

“Dekho main mood mein nahi hun tumari romantic baatein sunke behelne ke. Toh haath chodo. Main akele hi jaake dhundhungi. Because tumhara dimag toh band pad gaya hai.”

“Kya? Ek baar dekho.” Veer made her look at the portrait. “Dhyaan se dekho. Uss pe mera dil deewana hai.”

“Good. Raho usi par deewane.”

“Bani, that is the same person as you. Are you seriously jealous of yourself?”

Bani freed herself from Veer’s grasp and started walking away.

“Veer bhai, bas aaj aapko couch par hi sona padega. Bhabhi toh gussa ho gayi. Matlab Bhabhi ke hote hui kisi aur Naagin ko dekh ke aap aise kaise behek sakte hai?”

“Gharwali…” Veer followed her and stopped her in the way.

“Oh haaye, khatam ho gaya tumhara? Nahi. Ek kaam karo tum apna basera wahi laga lo. Wahan portrait ke saamne baithe rehne pure din. Phir Aakesh kya, tum Majnu se bhi zyaada famous ho jaaoge. Jaao.”

Veer grabbed her arm and made her face him.

“Kya karun. Tumhari aankhon mein dekhta hun toh khud hi hosh chala jaata hai. Samajh hi nahi aata ki kaise samjhau khud ko. Aankhen band karu toh tumhare sapne aate hai. Aankhen kholu toh har second tumhe apne saamne dekhna chahta hun. You can change your form but the thing that makes me love you is still same. Pehli nazar mein tumse pyaar ho gaya tha kyuki you have the same fire in your eyes. Jismein jalne ki khwaish humesha rehti hai. I’d extinguish it par dil hi nahi karta. Uss jalne mein hi toh mera pyaar hai.”

“Mujhe chodo.”

“Come on, sweetheart. Don’t be jealous of yourself.”

Bani grabbed his collar and made him look at her. That same Naagin blue eyes. Fierce and almost burning down his heart. Only to bring it back to life with even more madness for her.

“Tum mujhe chodke kisi ke bhi aise deewane ho jaaoge toh main tumhari jaan le lungi.” She threatened him. “I don’t care if it is a bloody portrait.”

Veer laughed.

“Sweetheart, jitna Aakesh Nageshwari ka hai, usse kuch 10,000 guna zyaada Veer Bani ka hai. Heart liver kidney, kuch bhi maang lo.”

“Please rehne do. Apna liver itna pi ke kharab kar hi chuke ho. Uska main kya karun?”

“Theek hai. Dil lelo.”

“Jo mera hai use hi mujhe de rahe ho?”

Veer took a deep breath. This girl was going to kill him with the way she said it so possessively.

“Jaan bhi hai.”

“See. Phir se wahi baat hai. Jaan agar meri hai toh mujhe hi de rahe ho? Is there actually anything that you own?”

“You.”

He grabbed her possessively against him by her waist.

“Uhm… uhm….”

Bani pushed herself away from him.

“Sabke sabh peeche hi padh gaye hai.” Veer complained.

“Acha, suno. Tum sabh ghar jaao.” Bani told them all.

“Bhabhi, jungle mein aapko romance karna hai Veer bhai ke saath?” Ponky teased.

“Shut up.” She hissed, making it clear that she wasn’t in mood to joke around.

“Okay.” They nodded.

“Sam, ek minute.” Bani stopped Sam. Sam stayed back and others left.

Chapter 56

After a while Vanshika showed up at Naag Mandir.

“Listen, we need to go find naagpash before Jay and Chandrakala do. New Moon paas hi aa raha hai. Which means, I’m going to start getting weaker and she’s going to started getting strongers. We have two days. 48 hours. Naaglok mein time notice karna difficult hota hai because of zone difference. Earth ke 48 hours ke baad mera jo jaadu hai which alerts me to anyone associated with Chandrakala entering and exiting Naaglok, woh toot jaayega. That’s when she can enter. Jay ke paas abhi naagmani hai. So, we have two mission to finish. One, find naagpash. Two, get back naagmani from Jay.” Bani turned to Sam. “Don’t mind me but mujhe tumhare baaki bhaiyo par itna bharosa hai nahi. Mujhe agar pure Singhanias mein se kisi pe bohot bharosa hai toh woh Veeranshu, Tapish bhai aur tum ho. Isiliye main tum dono ko apne saath aane ke liye keh rahi hun. You can sense the danger coming towards us. Toh I want you to be alert.”

Sam nodded.

“Bani, par cheel enter kaise karenge Naaglok?” Vanshika asked.

“That is the second reason kyu maine sirf Veeranshu aur Sam se kaha rukne ko. Sam had been in contact with one of the variants of chakra. Uske effects bhi hote hai. Uske wajah se, Naaglok can’t vibe up and recognize him differently as a cheel. Veeranshu toh abhi ke liye insaan hai.”

“Ek minute. Tum chahti ho ki hum dono tumhare saath naaglok aaye? Into that pit of snakes? Jahan nazar ghumao, wahan saanp honge.” Veer commented.

“Kya saanpo se darr gaye?” Bani asked.

“Excuse me, main kisi saanp se darta nahi. Tum hum dono ko naaglok mein le jaa rahi ho. Ek actually cheel hai aur dusre ka reputation hai as a ruthless serpent killer.”

“Haan. Toh agar stakes high hai toh risk bhi high lene padenge. So, I’m literally hoping you both can behave yourself and for a while put aside your cheel side.”

“Kaisi cheezein expect kar rahe ho? Bhabhi, the cheel side inside us is from birth. Par theek hai, aapka hukm sar aankho par.” Sam commented. Sam and Veer gave each other a fist bump.

“Abh suno. I need you guys to pack a bag. Tum cheel ho aur Naaglok ka paani nahi pi sakte. It would be poisonous to you. So, get some water bottles, some food for 48 hours and some clothes.” Bani told them. The boys got them arranged.

Bani used the ring to open a portal to Naaglok. She quickly closed it once four of them had managed to enter Naaglok. Veer and Sam both felt goosebumps on their skill. The smell of serpents was overwhelming. Sam’s eyes turned golden in reaction to the overwhelming scent of snakes. Veer checked if he still had his weapons in check. 8-9 daggers that Veer has put up in different places. One in each of the four pockets of his jeans. Two daggers in each shoe. His cheel boots had in build daggers that could be flashed out with a strong stomp. They’d almost act as talons. Veer kept a spare dagger hidden away in his belt.

Veer whistled his tune while Bani and Vanshika led them ahead. Considering Bani was Adi-Naagin, all the snakes moved away from the path.

Vanshika and Bani first decided to go to the manor.

“Acha, listen. I don’t think it is good idea for you to show up before nani. She’ll go mad crazy.” Vanshika suggested. She pushed both of them into the greenhouse. “Tum dono yahi rehna. Zyaada se zyaada yahan sirf Rishi and Kartik aayenge. Stay put here. We’ll come soon.”

“Waah. Kya treatment mil rahi hai hume. Seedha greenhouse.” Sam commented.

“Agar tumhe Nani ki hostile treatment chahiye, then by all means. Please do come in with us. Next thing is that she’ll have you two both kept inside the house. Bada accha drama hoga. Nani mere dad ko bulayengi and that will be some next level drama.”

“Main abhi cheel hun. Any time, I can turn into a cheel.” Sam reminded.

“Sam, we’re in the snake pit. Not a good idea to become a cheel here. Saare saanp react kar jaayenge. We’re not just dealing with cobras, there are pythons and constrictors. There’s no open high sky. There are damn high trees aur har daali par saanp hai. Ek saath sabh alert ho gaye then you’ll have to get to your flying acrobatics till death.” Veer advised.

“Veer bhai, aap bol rahe hai?”

“Haan, abhi junoon nahi akal lagana hai.”

“Greenhouse mein saanp nahi honge?”

“They’re all pet snakes. Chill. Not going to attack you. They just want to sleep after a good meal and the greenhouse is warm.” Vanshika answered. Both Sam and Veer looked at Vanshika. Pet snakes?

“Bol toh aise rahi hai ki woh saanp nahi billi ho.” Sam commented.

“Saanp ko palta hai? Log kutte, billi, panchi paalte hai. Yeh saanp paal rahe hai.” Veer added.

“Very funny. Naagon ko saanpo se kyu darr lagega? They will understand us and we can understand them.” Bani pointed out.

Both Veer and Sam went up in the greenhouse. The two looked around. Sam was about to step on a place but Veer pulled him away and pointed to a saw scaled viper.

“Abe dekh ke pair rakh. Pata chal das liya kisi saanp ne.” Veer told him. Saw Scaled Vipers were tiny. Like you almost wouldn’t be able to see them in their camouflage. But you’ll be damned to come across one of them. They’re deadly. The snake hissed and rubbed its scales.

“Sweetie, calm down.” Vanshika simply picked up the viper with her hands. It coiled itself casually on her hand. The snake clashed stark in contrast against Vanshika’s perfectly applied black nail polish. She softly rubbed her thumb over the snake’s head.

“Excuse me. Tum hataogi use before my inside cheel comes out and I eat it?” Sam asked him. She gave him a dirty look at the suggestion that he’d turn into an eagle and eat the snake.

Bani walked up to a corner and made sure no snakes would show up around that corner. “Yahan baitho. Hum jaldi hi aa jaayege.” Bani told them.

Bani and Vanshika had both gone into the manor. What they hadn’t expected was the mess that could have followed. Amar and Aishwarya almost swore when the two entered the house.

“V, Bani, niklo. Abhi niklo.” Amar started to push them out.

“Kya hua?” Bani asked.

“Mayank aur uske chamche yahin hai. Mom ka dimag kharab ho gaya hai. She’s in all snake mood.” Amar said. The moment Vanshika heard that, she grabbed Bani and tried to run off but at the door, she found herself face to face with Mayank.

Aishwarya and Amar swore under their breath. Mayank started to surround Vanshika like a predator. Mayank wasn’t an easy snake to deal with. If Vanshika was a viper, Mayank was downright an anaconda. Once in its grasp, it won’t leave until he’s finished.

“Hi, dad…” Vanshika gave an odd laughter. He looked thoughtful.

“Same scent. Wahi ladka hai, right? Wahi cheel hai.”

“Jeeju? Haan. Unse milke hi aa rahi hun. Of course, unki scent aayegi.” Vanshika answered. Mayank nodded his head in a no.

“Nahi. Yeh Veer Singhania ki scent nahi hai. Yeh wahi cheel hai jiski scent mujhe aayi thi tumhare uss school trip se lautne ke baad. Behek rahi ho ya bhul rahi ho?”

“She doesn’t need to explain herself to you, Mayank.” Aishwarya tried to walk up but Mayank threw her a look. The look in his eyes meant business. He wasn’t going to be nice if she’s going to cross him now.

“Jab main apni beti se baat karun toh beech mein mat bolo. I asked her and she’s going to answer. Yeh khud lawyer hai na? Iski lawyer mat bano.” Mayank told Aishwarya.

“Vanshika meri beti hai. Main defend karungi use. Aur tumhe kyu bataye kiske saath baat karti hai ya kiske saath baithti hai?” Aishwarya demanded.

“Baap aur beti ke beech nahi aana chahiye, Aishwarya.” Shreya walked down from the stairs in her regal air. “Tumhare pita kuch puch rahe hai tumse, Vanshika. Jawaab do.”

“Kis haq se puch rahe hai, dad? Aapko kabse meri life mein interest hone laga?” Vanshika countered with a question.

“Beti ho meri. Yaad rakho toh accha hoga. Main tumhara pita hun. SO, when I ask you a question, you will answer properly.”

“Kyu? Phir se saanp banake kahin jungle mein chod aayenge, dad? Abh badi ho gayi hun. I can survive it.”

“Naagin ho, Vanshika. Apni hadd mat bhulo. Hum saare naagvanshi ek line mein rehte hai. Us lakeer ko paar mat karo.”

“Dad, aap mere life ke decisions nahi le sakte abhi. I’m 25 years old. Kaafi der kardi aapne mere life mein aake mujhe kuch bhi advice karne ke liye. Shayad agar 15 saal pehle aate toh main phir aapko jawaab deti.”

Vanshika tried to leave but Mayank held her by her arm and made her sit. She knew where this was going. She knew her father. If people considered Balwant Singhania dangerous then they never meant Mayank Vrishik.

“Vanshika, mind you tongue when you speak to me.” Mayank reminded her who she was speaking to. Vanshika knew he was going to start peeling all they layers off her and get stuff out of her. “Kya kar rahi thi uss cheel ke saath?”

“Vanshika ko darana band karoge? Meri behen hai jab mujhse milne aayi toh wahan cheel honge.” Bani stood up for her sister. If Mayank was dangerous, Bani was Adi-Naagin. She wasn’t leaving her sister alone on the battlefield. “Aapko sawaal puchne hai mujhse pucho. Maine use wahan bulaya tha. Kyu bulaya tha? Kyuki aap mein se kisi ki meherbani hai ki iss waqt Jay baaghi banke bhaag gaya hai. Kisi ki meherbani hui hai hum sabh mein se ki uske haath naagmani lagi aur woh use leke faraar hai.”

Bani looked at her Dadi. She was going to deal with this as an Adi-Naagin.

“Aur shayad abhi tak mera Chandrakala ko harane ka plan bhi use bata diya gaya hai. Aap yeh saari interrogation Vanshika se kar rahe ho ki Vanshika cheelon ke beech kya kar rahi hai? Toh main aapko jawaab deti hun. Mere pati par, bina kisi wajah ke, Jay ne hamla kiya. Aise ki shayad jaan chali jaati. Unexplained attack. Yeh interrogation pehle Jay se karte toh shayad iss sabhki zaroorat hi nahi padti.” Bani defended and made Vanshika stand behind her. “Toh sabke liye better hoga ki Vanshika ko pareshaan karna band kare.”

“Yeh baat kon keh raha hai? Cheel ki patni ya iss ghar ki beti?”

“Agar iss ghar ki beti ki tarah baat samajh aa jaaye toh beti ki tarah aur na aaya ho toh Adi-Naagin ki tarah.”

Suddenly, a few people held Bani.

“Chodo mujhe.” Bani shouted.

“Maa, yeh kya hai?” Amar asked his mother.

“Apni beti ko uss cheel se bacha rahi hun. Mere liye meri bacchi sabse zyaada important hai. Ek baar uss cheel ne ise dhoka diya iski acchai ka fayda uthake aur Bholenath ne use shraap diya. Main wahi kahani phir se dohorane nahi dungi. Uss cheel se kabhi nahi milne dungi.” Shreya suggested.

“Shreya, kya pagalpan hai yeh? Isiliye ghar pe bandh ke rakhogi?” Kushal demanded and pushed away the men holding Bani.

“Nahi. Par apni bacchi ko iss ghar mein rakh sakti hun.” Shreya commented.

“Ho gaya samjho, maa.” Mayank replied.

“Maa, toh aap bhi decide karlo. Kon chahiye aapko. Main ya phir Mayank.” Aishwarya asked her mother.

“Soch samajh ke bolo, Aishwarya.” Mayank told her.

“Soch samajh ke bolu? Meri beti ko aise ghar pe bandh ke rakhi hui hai, maa. Wahan bahar woh Adi-Naag naagmani leke ghum raha hai. Iski kisi ko padi nahi hai iss ghar mein?” Aishwarya demanded. “Aap toh khud hi naagrani thi, Maa. How could you make such a mistake? Aapse yeh galti kaise hui? Thoda sat oh regret dikhao. You are the one who is responsible for the fact that all of Naaglok is facing this issue.”

“Aishwarya…” Mayank shouted.

“Don’t you dare raise your voice at me, Mayank.” Aishwarya roared in a fit of rage. “If all of you are going to pretend that she did not make mistake, do so. But sach toh yahi hai. Maa had been foolish enough to tell Jay the place where naagmani is kept. Now, Jay is gone off with it. Who is responsible for it? Bani? Cheels? Bela? Who?”

“Aishwarya, woh tumhari maa hai. Izzat dena tumhara farz hai.” Mayank reminded her.

“Since my mother had always liked you more than she has liked me, tum hi unse pucho ki naagmani ki Jay se wapas kaise laayege? Pure naaglok ko yahan bahar nikaale? Jay ke peeche chod de? So that every single naag-naagin is out on a tray served up to Markaat?” Aishwarya questioned.

“Bua, please calm down. Koi bhi mujhe bandh ken ahi rakhne wala hai. Main Adi-Naagin hun.”

“Haan pata hai. Adi-Naagin ko kaatne wala jaadu bhi aata hai hume. Toh bas… iss chaukhat ke bahar mere ya maa ke le jaaye bina nahi jaa paaogi. Iss jaadu ko koi nahi kaat sakta.” Mayank told her.

“Maa, I can’t believe this. Kya ho gaya hai aapko? Yeh aap hi hai na? Jo Bani se itna pyaar kar baithi thi ki use harr mushkil se bachane ke liye tayyar thi?” Amar questioned her.

“Shreya, apne hathon hi apne pariwar ko mat todo. Maine kaha hai tumse. Bani ko khud choose karne ki azaadi do. Bacchi nahi hai woh.” Kushal agreed with Amar.

“Pariwar ko bachane ke liye sabh kar rahi hun, Kushal. Mujhe meri bacchi bohot pyaari hai. Ek baar cheelon ke haathon apne bete aur bahu ko kho diya. Almost apni poti ko kho diya woh toh Bholenath ki kripa rahi ki Bani bach gayi. Phir se wahi risk lun ki un cheelon ke beech Bani ko chod dun? Unn cheelon ke beech jinka haath tha mere bete aur bahu ko marne mein?” Aishwarya told them. “Tum sabko lag raha hoga ki main harsh steps le rahi hun par kya yeh sach nahi hai ki mere bete aur bahu ko unn cheelon ne maar diya?”

“Chandrakala ne maara tha unhe. Yeh baat aapko bhi pata hai, mom. Kis baat ki duhai aap Veeranshu ko de rahi hai. Use na maine bachpan se dekha hai. Badtameez hai, maanti hun pura pagal hai. Violent, mad, a little too calculated and really clever. Sabh usse darte hai kyuki hum sabh mein se sabse zyaada himmat usmein. Sabh kuch karne ki himmat hai usmein. He’s not the heroic kind to lay down his life for the greater good but itna toh yeh hai hi ki Veer bani ke liye sabh kuch kar sakta hai. But does that make him evil? No, maa. Thode se morals toh uske paas hai. Thode se but he sticks to them.” Aishwarya said.

Shreya just walked away.

Now, Bani and Vanshika were both stuck in the house with no way to get out. There in the greenhouse were Sam and Veer. Bani started to get worried. How long would it be before someone found them? Sam and Veer won’t be able to leave either. Both Vanshika and Bani were under Mayank’s alert eyes. Mayank proved to be a harsh jailor. Not even for a moment would he let the two girls out of his sight.

“What the hell, dad? At least bathroom mein chain se kaam karne do.” Vanshika shouted as there was knock on the door.

“Check kar raha tha ki tum ho yaa nahi. Itna time kyu lag raha hai?”

“Seriously? What is wrong with you? Privacy naam ki cheez hoti hai. I’m not a teenage girl, dad. 25 saal ki hun. Bathroom time bhi aapko monitor karna hai kya?” Vanshika shouted when she finally came out.

“Haan toh agar azaadi ka najayaz fayda nahi uthati toh yeh nahi hota.” Mayank commented. Bani settled herself to read a book rather than argue with Mayank. He was a tough nut to crack with temper. She needs to be clever to cut through this. She has to think like Veer. Veer wouldn’t take out his anger like this instantly. He’d make up some plan while pretending to co-operate.

“Dad, aapki problem kya hai? Voldemort bhi isse kam interfering tha Harry ke life mein.”

“Yeh tumse jiss cheel ki scent aa rahi hai. Wahi cheel hai na? Humesha tumse school ke baad uski scent aati thi. Tumhara boyfriend tha kya?”

“Dad, what the hell? Aap janna bhi kyu chahte hai uske baare mein?”

“Kyuki tumhari maa mujhe nahi batati hai isiliye. Usne ek baar galti se keh diya tha ki tumhe koi ladka pasand tha.”

“Dad, seriously none of your business. Main abhi kisi ko bhi date karun it is not your business. Aapko ladka chahiye tha jo main banne ke liye tayyar nahi thi. They why don’t you go get a son instead of bugging me?”

“I hardly think yeh possible hai. Tumhari maa ko abhi baccho mein koi interest nahi hai.” The way Mayank said it so casually, Vanshika almost choked on the water she was drinking. Bani broke into laughter. Mayank looked up and gave an odd look to them.

“Dad!!! What the hell?”

“Kya? Baat aise kar rahi ho jaise tumhe pata nahi hai. Mera ek hi joda hai. Aur kaafi sharam ki baat hogi agar uske saath chodke kisi aur ke saath bacche hue.”

“Mujhe sach mein bohot hasi aayegi agar aapne abhi kaha ki aapko bua se pyaar hai.” Bani commented.

“Pyaar hai. What’s not to love about her?”

Vanshika and Bani looked at each other and then at Mayank. Mr Taskmaster Disciplinarian was actually capable of falling in love?

“Yeh kabh hua?” Vanshika asked.

“Jabse use dekha hai.” He answered.

“Wow. Aapka pyaar sahi aur Bani ka pyaar galat?”

“Mera pyaar ek naagin se hua hai. Kisi cheel se nahi.”

“Isiliye aap mom ko divorce nahi de rahe?”

“Tumhe main pagal lagta hun ki apni patni ko divorce du? Use jo mera joda hai?”

“Bani se toh bada bol rahe the ki Veer ko chod de.”

Mayank closed his book and looked at Vanshika.

“Aisa hai kya uss cheel mein ki itni gun gaa rahe ho uske?”

“Ek minute….” Bani requested and started counting on fingers. “One, like the typical trope of girls liking bad boys, Veeranshu hai badtameez. Two, kitna bhi badtameez ho pyaar puri tarah karta hai mujhse. Three, even if you may want to deny it truth remains. Veeranshu handsome hai. Accha dikhta hai. Four, unka dimaag kuch zyaada hi chalta hai. Which is as impressive as much as it causes trouble. Five, I’d have to say but he bags the Husband of the Year Award. Six, har baar, har cheez mein Veeranshu mujhe support karta hai. Mere saath khada rehta hai. Seven, uska pagalpan. Sanki aur sarphira hai. Makes a good mix with his personality. Eight, moral kam hai but jo hai uss par pakad acchi hai uski. Nine, Uski personality hi bohot acchi hai. Ten, he’s romantic. Eleven, usmein woh zid hai hamesha jeetne ki. Isiliye koi use hara nahi sakta. Pata hi nahi chalta kabh hara de kisi ko. Twelve, he’s really fast in making plans. Uski speed hi kuch aur hai. Pata hi nahi chalta kabh usne plan bana liya. Thirteen -”

“Samajh gaya. Pyaar mein puri pagal ho chuki ho. Par aur bhi toh naag mil sakte hai tumhe jo tumse utna hi pyaar kare.”

Bani laughed. “Just don’t let Veeranshu hear you saying this. Uska ghamad hai yeh ki use lagta hai iss duniya mein usse zyaada koi mujhse pyaar nahi kar sakta. Yeh ghamand hi hai why he’s so possessive. Uska manna hai ki I deserve someone who loves me the most aur isiliye I only deserve him.”

“Husband of the Year Veeranshu hai? Kya mazak hai yeh?”

“That’s for a reason. Usne jitna meri harkatein bardaash ki hai, utna shayad koi nahi kar paata. Meri nafrat ko saha usne, mere gusse ko saha hai, meri badtameezi sahi, Jay ko saha mere liye, jiss tarah main jay par aankh bandh karke vishwaas karti thi yeh saha usne, maine use kya kuch nahi kaha par ek baar bhi gussa nahi kiya usne mujhpe, jabhi main khatre mein thi woh mujhe bachane kahin na kahin se aa jata hai, mujhse bohot zyaada pyaar karta hai, respect karta hai meri. Isse zyaada aur kya chahiye Husband of the Year ke liye?”

“Jaise pyaar aur respect humne ki hi nahi.”

“Dad, let’s not get into stuff you have done to mom. Chalo maan liya ki ek baar ke liye your possessiveness for mom matches with that of Veer par aap Veer nahi ban sakte. Veer alag hi level par hai.”

“Ehm…. Ehm…. Waise koi aur bhi hai jo match karta hai kaafi cheezon mein Veer se.” Bani suggested.

“Please. I know he’s a good kisser par…” Vanshika almost bit her tongue. She almost forgot that her father was still sitting right there.

“Kya?” Mayank asked.

“Kuch nahi mera matlab tha maine aisa suna hai but doesn’t mean he can match Veer.”

“Tujhe konsa Veer chahiye? Tujhe toh wahi chahiye…” Bani teased.

“Maine aisa kabh kaha?”

“Tere paas uski shirt hai.”

“That is a whole another story jo bohot purani hai. Woh uski shirt nahi uski football jersey hai.”

“Jo tere paas abhi hai.”

“Bani, kya bol rahi hai? Please shut up.”

“Yeh chal kya raha hai? Kisi ladke ke kapde tumhare paas kyu hai? Hai kon yeh ladka?”

“Dad, I just wish you don’t come across him. Because you possibly haven’t met a troublemaker like him. Aapki yahi rules follow karne ki aadat mujhmein lagi as a lawyer aur use kisi bhi rule ki dhajjiya udane mein waqt nahi lagta hai.”

“Jis din yeh ladka mere haath laga bas tabh main use bataunga.” Mayank commented.

“Mujhe paani chahiye.” Vanshika told him, showing the empty water jar.

“Itna paani kya peena hai tumhe? Abhi abhi toh paani bhara tha.” Mayank commented.

“Dekho, you’re not going to understand ladies problems. So, zara co-operate karo. Chaho toh mere saath chalo neeche paani lene.” Vanshika suggested.

Mayank and Vanshika walked out of the room. He locked the room from the outside with his magic and Bani couldn’t open it. She hissed in irritation.

Bani walked up to the window. She sighed. She couldn't jump from the window either because it was all covered with bel leaves.

"Veeranshu..." Bani sighed whispering her name.

“Sweetheart, kya kar rahi ho? Kabse wait kar raha hun tumhara.”

Bani suddenly looked up and saw Veer climbing up the window from the pipe. The sight of him was like amrit itself to her. He climbed up till the window and reached her.

“Main baad mein batata hu ki kya hua. Par yahan jaadu kiya hua hai. Main bahar nahi aa sakti. Bel patra lagaye hue hai jiska chakr main nahi tod sakti.”

“Apne hi ghar pe caged?"

"Veer..." Bani sighed. Veer grinned.

"Haaye, miss kar rahi thi mujhe?" He asked her.

"Veer, sach mein tumhe chot lag jaayegi. Gir jaaoge. Yahan tak chade kyu? Kisine tumhe dekh liya toh?"

Veer held her face and kissed her. He was standing by the window and kissed her passionately. Bani wrapped her arms around him and kissed him back with a matching passion. They broke the kiss when they had to breathe. He pushed her hair aside and winked at her.

"Bas. Main hun na. I'll get you out."

“Veeranshu….” Bani tried to call him but by then, he had already left. Bani groaned in frustration. Her husband was upto no good. Escpecially when the prankmaster Samrat was with him. The two could cook up the craziest mess.

Bani tried to open the door but couldn’t. She was getting frustrated.

Vanshika was filling the water jar when Mayank suddenly turned around.

“Yeh scent….” Mayank commented. He could smell Samrat’s scent. “Usi cheel ladke ki scent hai yeh.”

Vanshika almost got scared thinking her dad could smell Samrat.

“Dad, mujhse aa rahi hogi.” Vanshika tried but Mayank had gotten really alert. He started following the scent. Vanshika felt a hand on his mouth. It pulled her down under the kitchen counter. She saw Sam. What was missing was his shirt, jacket and shoes.

“Are you mad? Dad yahi hai. Tumhe smell bhi kar paa rahe hai. Wahan se aa rahi hai unhe tumhari smell. How the hell?”

“Meri jacket hai wahan. That’s what he’s smelling. Yahan kitchen ke paas toh kerosene hai jo mujhse aa rahi scent cover kar rahi hai. Tum kya kar rahi ho? Wahan snake glass box mein hume chod aayi.”

“Bohot tamasha hua hai. Dad ke hote hue hum yahan nikal nahi sakte. Tum mere dad ko nahi jaante.”

“Ohoo… Mr Mayank Vrishik aur mera aaj saamna ho hi jaaye. Tumhare baap se aaj mil hi leta hun.”

“Samrat, pagalpanti mat karo. Main tumhe ring de rahi hun. Tum aur Veer niklo yahan se.”

“Arrey yaar, tumhare baap se darr jaaye itna kamzor nahi hai mera pyaar.”

“Oh, hello. Dad tumhari aarti utar ke tumhe apna damad nahi banayenge. Tumhare pankh nikal ke decoration ki tarah lagayenge apne ghar pe.”

“V, ek baar haath pakad ke toh dekho. Itni speed mein uda le jaaunga, unhe pata bhi nahi chalega. Miya biwi razi toh kya karega qazi?”

“Hero mat bano. Maare jaaoge.”

“Abh toh meri izzat par baat aa gayi hai. Tumhe aur Bhabhi ko liye bina toh main aur Veer bhai yahan se nahi jaane wale.”

Sam held her hand and took her behind him.

“Vanshika?” Mayank returned to find her missing from the kitchen.

“Damn it…” Mayank swore loudly and kicked a kitchen stand.

Sam looked at her.

“Same temper.” He told her.

“Shut up.”

“Vanshika, accha hoga ki tum abhi ke abhi bahar aao. Hide and Seek mat khelo. Mere saath toh bilkul nahi.” Mayank told her. Vanshika’s heart beat went faster. She would have almost shrieked but Sam put a hand on her mouth and pushed her against the small place behind the idol of Shiva and Narayan. A curtain was placed behind the temple in the house and a small place was there behind the curtain. The space was small and so the two were squished. Vanshika wasn’t claustrophobic but she still posed two problems. One, this was Samrat Singhania. She could deny it and hide it but the attraction wouldn’t go away. It had always been there between them. Two, he was shirtless and really warm. The cheel side that made him warm posed a threat to her snake side which made her weak in the knees against that warmth. She could feel his chest moving as he breathed.

‘What the hell? Mandir hai saamne hi, Vanshika. What nonsense are you thinking here? Besharam. Kam se kam mandir ke aage toh control kar le apne thoughts ko’ Vanshika scolded herself mentally.

“Apna jacket do.” Sam told her.

“What?”

“Arrey do na.”

Vanshika removed her jacket and threw it on the other side.

“Samrat, hum dono maare jaayenge.”

“Sshhshh… Mere paas expertise hai home escape ka. Bohot baar kiya hai.”

Mayank was following their scent. Sam knew that. So, he chose hiding spots where there other covering scents. The place behind the temple would cover their scent with the incense sticks that they lit up before the temple.

Sam pulled her behind a pillar where the air purifier was kept. It would keep their scent clean off that place. Vanshika had no idea where this was going to go. They both saw Mayank coming in that direction. Sam took up a ball and took out some air out of it and pressed in a certain shape. Throwing it in the other direction. It could be easily mistaken for a flying figure. Mayank quickly moved in that direction and Sam took away Vanshika to his next spot near the several pots of flowering bushes. Sam was taking full advantage of the fact that naag-naagins would grow several plants and trees around the house. There was a sandalwood tree in the house and another banyan tree.

“Vanshika….” Mayank called out.

“Shsshh…” Sam told Vanshika.

“I can’t believe we’re playing like this against dad. He’s going to skin you alive if he sees you like this with me.”

“Kyu tumhe bure bure khyal aa rahe hai kya?”

“Shut up.”

“Dekho ladke, mujhe pata hai ki tum bhi yaha aa gaye ho. Mujhe nahi pata kaise aaye yahan par agar mere haath lage toh soch lo kya haal hoga tumhara.” Mayank threatened. Sam grinned.

“Naag ke haath maru itna bhi loser nahi hun. Cheel hun, baby.” Sam answered in a whisper.

“Maroge, pagal. Maroge. Dad tumhari jaan le lenge.”

“Actually, I’ve got my savior.” Sam winked at her. Vanshika turned around and saw Aishwarya walking down.

“Irritating toh the hi abh bhoot bhi banne ka shauk paal liya hai kya?” Aishwarya asked Mayank.

“Shshh… mujhe pata hai woh cheel yahan aa gaya hai. Usne Vanshika ko kidnap kiya hai.” Mayank told her. Aishwarya laughed. She poured herself a glass of water and drank it.

“Ek baar sochlo. Ho sakta hai Vanshika uske saath bhaag gayi ho.” Aishwarya commented laughing. She sat up on the counter and started eating cookies from the cookie jar.

“Tumhe yeh mazak lagta hai? Main un dono ko dhundh ke hi rahunga.” Mayank told her. Aishwarya looked at Mayank with an exasperated look.

“Mazak toh tum kar rahe ho, Mayank. Kya bakwaas hai yeh? Koi cheel aa sakta hai kya naaglok mein?”

“Mujhe uski smell aayi hai, Aishwarya, aur meri smell karne ki shakti galat nahi ho sakti.”

“You know what? Aaj kal bohot cheel cheel soch rahe ho isiliye vehem paal rahe ho. Ajeeb pagal ho. Matlab naaglok mein cheel aa jaayenge kya?”

“Koi toh tod nikala hoga uss cheel ne. Jab mere haath lagega toh main usse nikalwa hi lunga.”

“Good luck with that.”

Mayank looked at Aishwarya. 22 years had passed since she left their home and walked away with Vanshika but even now everytime he looked at her. He wouldn't be able to look away from her. She was still beautiful. The beauty that their daughter had seemed to inherit from her.

While Aishwarya and Mayank went on with their conversation, Sam managed to hide away to the next spot under the staircase. Sam knew how to use Mayank's only weakness. He had sent Rishi and Kartik to tell Aishwarya to help him. Sam knew Mayank Vrishik could be a dangerous opponent. Every Naag's greatest weakness was his Naagin. It should be impossible that someone like Mayank would forget his other half and fall out of love for her.

“Abhi… abhi uski scent aayi.” Mayank shouted. “Light chalu karo. Main abhi pakad lunga use.”

“Pure ghar mein current nahi hai, Mayank. Fuse udd gaya hai. Kal subeh hi theek ho paayega.”

“Abh toh mujhe pura yakeen hai yeh kaam usi cheel ladke ka hai.”

“Sam, please. Dono marenge. Dad ko tumhari scent aa rahi hai.”

That so sweet and heartbreaking at the sametime!!!smiley28smiley38 Ponky is the youngest one in the family. He hardly had two years with his mother. In the show he seems really cowardly and scared of naag-naagin especially when he's a cheel. So, I thought of a reason why. The most crutial years of a child are when he grows from a toddler to a boy. Pawan was very busy with his work so hardly had time. His brothers were older than him. Sam was almost 4 years old when Ponky was born. Daksh was 5 so they had grown into boys. Tapish cared for him but no one can fill the hole that can only be filled by a mother's love. He never experienced that safety that comes from sleeping next to your mother as a boy. That assurance he never had and that's why he's not as strong on the inside as his brothers. Especially to here that his family had shared tragedy because of naag-naagins.

She already shares a very tumultuous relationship*non relationship* with sam, daksh and Pawan. Very interesting!! She's the got the most difficult one with Daksh. He's the one to hold grudges for long. Early episodes gave me that broody vibe from him. So, thought of that.

I didn't like how they ruined cheel bros in the show so I plan to keep this consistent.

I really wanted Bani's powerful aura to show up. I mean she's Adi-Naagin. Shiv himself gave her powers. Come on, she's got to show her powers. That's why I yearn to write powerful scenes for Bani.

Abhi ke liye toh Markaat is building up his strength.

This scene was a reminder to Veer himself that his identity started with his sankipan. He had forgotten what he was. So, he's got to remind himself. Ahana did a job of cheering him up and reminding him that to his family, he's always their hero.

Veer trying to hide naagmani from the cheels..hmm..is it you giving us a hint that in future the cheels might get greedy for it!! I hope not!!!

See, I'm trying to shorten my comments smiley37

Yaar, tumhare comment padhke maza hi aa jaata hai.
