And lot of people have mentioned about her "rolling eyes" and "sleepy eye" look which gets a bit irritating at times. Whereas Kunl conveys so much through his eyebrows !

I liked the context setting with the neat juxtaposition of birth, marriage and death - birth of Megha's feelings for Mohan, the marriage in the background and Mohan's near death experience. While Mohan bought in a lot of panache and intensity in his near death experience, we hardly got to see the birth of new found feelings in Aakanksha's acting.

But let's not forget that there have been episodes where she has acted brilliantly as well !

I find that everytime Ashnoor has to emote something bad that has happened to Mohan she NAILS it. you can feel Nanhi's pain, feel her fear or shock etc. but the scenes where she gets emotional about Amar I felt like she was acting in those scenes. like her emotions were on the surface and not emitting from within.

I think she is very close to Kunal and so she is able to emote better in herNanhi scenes with or re Kunal but she probably does not have much exposure to the actor playing Amar which is why the lack of depth in her enactment in those scenes

All in all she is a treat to watch no matter what the depth of her emoting in any scene.😃

In my books she is a peach and Kunal's a plum. bas. that's all I know.😆

I understand what they were trying to show...but it somehow did not come through..it wasn't a very tense moment..I couldn't feel it...it looked more like they just happened to gatecrash the same wedding party and they notice each other and Mohan is happy to see her there..and they are normally crossing the road to get to the other side...😕
and then that dude shoots him, which again was silly that he was coming right at Mohan walking in front of him..he should have shot him from behind instead...Kunal was fine there...but again cameraman-ji why such a close up of the shot...so much that I could see through his white tee....they should have shown Megha being a little more panicked while trying to search for him and then slightly relieved that she has found him?...I think she was much better with the Nanhi missing scenes.

Interesting discussions went on here I see...LOL I was out today...

@Jzee: Awww@ that pic of Kunal-Addu...hope it's a recent one and it means Addu's back on the scene soon.

Re: The discussion regarding Aakanksha's acting...yes I also feel that she is surface level in two types of scenes...one, that require her to LAUGH and two, these SUPER emotional ones...which REQUIRE a bit more POWER in the acting and not "subtle" expressions...cuz the entire scene rests on the ACTOR to bring forth that moment.

But anyways overall also that scene just fell flat in execution...it wasn't just her...they didn't live up to what SHOULD have been a powerful moment.

And now with the "amazing" spoilers floating around about Megha's "Mujhe tumhari bhalayee ke liye tumse door jaana hoga, Mohan" type stuff, I'm SO looking forward to Monday *rolls eyes* Ehhh🥱

Don't think I should hold out for much interesting stuff on Monday either since the show is pretty quickly rushing headlong into the remarriage track simultaneously...fun times.

Oh wow, just saw Sauris's post about that new Wed promo... sigh. So the dual "symbolism" of the finale Friday scene did hint for Megha's brain freeze after all. Ditto you Nur - no good feelings about the conceptualization of this track I suspect we'll get fun served Mohan and co. style in changing Megha's mindset along the way - but well... not such a fan of Megha having this thought process, which had seemed likely I suppose.

I do at least partly agree with what Hope says about the play down on track concepts. I wont say watching NBT one episode at a time has been disappointing - in fact quite entertaining and fresh in its own manner, but sure, there has been a constant trickle of "typical" in some ways. Then again, can a daily show just totally strike off that mark? I think the execution being different does salvage much, when you watch it like a daily! Besides, the USP of NBT is the freshness among the bonds - MG, MN, even MM in their own way, MJ, MA for their few scenes, and yes, even MR - it's not entirely possible to introduce the bonds as "new" after a while, but there has been constant flow of quality interactions based in the space of ordinary living...

Anyway - back to what seems to be coming our way now. Not hopeful much. I guess I should confess I'm not such a fan of the whole need big accident to value kind of scenarios. It doesn't help that the episode with the gunshot set itself didn't impress me much even in execution.Definitely on the slow burner for now - but as always, let's see where this is headed - definitely not for an MM union soon 😆

ps: Nur - no idea if the picture is a recent click of not but it showed up on Kunal's tweets yesterday =) Maybe Addu is coming back to join hands with the forces of Daddy-Long-Shot 😆

Ooh yes!!! I said that too! They really did NOT work on the build up! Just flashed around scenes of Megha Karan on a bike through the streets, Mohan being chased on his side - I could have truly done much better with having Megha scenes in voiceover during the chase... Nanhi missing scenes were SO much more real - they truly had you feel the anxiety for that lost kid!

And yes, yes, yes - the execution of the final scene - for all the intention underneath - didn't quite make a mark. It just lingered too much, pronounced briefest nanoseconds into drag like impact - and the shooting itself, for the nth time, it just didn't cause the stir! All the more off, because I can see what they wanted to show - but it didn't come off like that... whatever was amiss!
