Hi T, nice name

First of all A very very Happy Birthday to you

Nice to know you and your skills through this forum 😊

Just 2 ?s for now

Why do people use music as a means to convey their feelings when they are extremely happy or sad?

What song would you play for us on your piano if we had attended your birthday party?

I guess it depends on the person. I would personally use writing to convey extreme happiness or sadness, but music has the effect of expressing one's mood in an intangible way.

Sometimes I cant write out what I'm feeling, words are not enough. Music evokes feelings which I can identify with and understand. It just does a better job in some cases.

Something filled with masti - a rocking ragtime style piece like "The Entertainer" or "I'll Be there for you" (Friends TV Show Theme song)

Well, once my teacher was conducting a mock exam for me and I started off the song on the wrong note. So all the successive notes were in a completely different key 😆

I realized my mistake, but kept playing because you're not expected to stop once you start (or so I thought😳). When the song ended, I was like "SORRY! I know I started on the wrong note,..."

My teacher laughed and said that if you know you made such a mistake always ask if you can restart your piece. Don't make up a completely new song 😆
