Molkki is a so called tradition, in which poor girls marry a wealthy man in exchange for money. Even though it is forbidden, Molkki is still practiced in some regions of India. The serial revolves around a poor girl named Purvi whose father made her Molkki bride for money.
Purvi marries Virendra Pratap Singh, a widower and father of two kids. Virendra is village head in a village in Haryana's Rewari district. Virendra's kids don't like Purvi, especially his daughter Juhi, as they believe Purvi is trying to snatch their mother's position. Virendra is still unable to forget his first wife Sakshi. For him this marriage is a deal that he made to save his Sakshi Mill, which he made in the remembrance of his lovable wife. However, Purvi doesn't want to remain Molkki and decides to pay her Moll off. She decides to do this by tutoring Virendra's troublesome children. Initially stubborn and difficult, the kids later whole-heartedly accept Purvi when she takes the blame of their mistakes on herself like when Juhi mistakenly burns Sakshi's portrait and when Purvi unknowingly wears Sakshi's clothes and jewellery on Juhi's birthday on kids' insistence, as plotted by Anjali. Though Purvi's innocence comes out every time. She also helps the kids with their studies and makes Virender realise his wrong conduct towards his children. On learning that Virender blames himself for snatching the kids' mother from them, Purvi decides to bring them close. She, on several occasions, makes Virender display his love for his kids. She also plans a picnic where the kids' get close to their father. While on picnic Vaibhav rapes Priyu as part of a bet because she slapped him in front of his friends. Anjali records Priyu's rap and then blackmails Purvi. A series of incidents leads to Virender losing his trust on Purvi and refuses to believe her allegations on his brother. He asks her to prove it else leave the village forever however Purvi manage to prove Vaibhav doings and expose him in the public. Virender ask Priyu to decide the punishment but Priyu decide to marry Vaibhav the marriage preparation goes on. During the preparations, Virender realizes his mistake and tries to pacify Purvi. Purvi sees how Virender has taken care for her sister and forgives him. Even though Anjali tries to break Priyu's marriage, Vaibhav gets married to Priyu. Vaibhav wants to take revenge on his brother and hires a person. Purvi saves Virender, but Virender gets attacked by goons. During their honeymoon, Priyu finds out about Vaibhav's intentions and tells Purvi. Virender trusts Purvi and finds the goons that attacked him. Virender grants permission to Purvi to further become educated and Purvi goes to college. The son of the person that Vaibhav hired starts to irritate Purvi and her friend Sudha.
