MN had walked into the college , with Mayank hurrying to go to his Library,when they saw Samrat and gunjan. As they watched, samrat leaned over and placed a quick kiss on gunjans cheeks in full view of anyone and everyone in the vicinity. they separated with samra t going towards his car and gunjan came running, fell in step with them saying chirpily," hi di. Good morning Jiju."

Both smiled at her chirpiness and at her calling Mayank jiju with so much innocence . she took all her relations to heart so naturally.

"hi gunjan. Chalo, nupur ko main ab tumhare saath canteen jaane ke liye kehsaktha hoon.mujhe library jaana hain. Bye." He hurried away telling them bye.

the sisters walked together towards the canteen, gunjan linking her arm with nupur and happily chatting away about how much she was missing nupur at home.

Nupurs heart warmed at her sisters presence.

"aaj bohot khush hai tu? "

"kuch nahin Di. Bas itne din ke baad tum bhi mili aur..."

"main tho yahin hoon gunjan. Waise bhi yeh aur kya hai?"

On gunjan not answering, she continued," Bui ka phone aaya tha.?" Though she had said Bui, both knew hse was asking about bauji.

"haan. Sab teek hai. chachaji aur bauji wapas gaye kal. Woh chachaji tumse milna chahthe the par...waise bui tumse milne aayi tab hi ...bauji .. chod na Di. Tum apne bare mein bataon. Kaisa hai tumhara sapnon ka ghar?"

"sapne mein hi hain mera sapnon ka ghar." Nupur replied , wistfully.

"Di..."

"Haan. Bui ne unko mana liya. Par Di, hum sab tumhare saath hai. Jiju hai."

"agar mujhe sirf Mayank ka hi saath chahiye tha, tho main bhaag ke uske saath shaadi kar sakthi thi."

Both stared at each other for a few seconds, nupur not knowing what she was expecting and gunjan upset that her Di was not happy.

"Di hum sab- Samrat, Dia, Uday bhaiyya, Benji, suhaani aur adhiraj bhi tumhare saath hai. tum akeli nahin ho. Bui bhi tumhe support kiya. Chachaji ko bhi koi problem nahin hai. bas bauji ko thda waqt do."

"aur tum gunjan?" nupur asked her. As gunjan looked at her not understanding ,"tum kiske saath ho? Mere ya bauji ke?" gunjan looked at her with shock in her eyes. This was news to her, that her Di thought she wasn't with her.

"yeh tumhe mujse poochnein ki kya zaroorat hai di? Main tho hamesha se tumhare saath hoon." There was a pleading in her voice.

"achha. Tho tum abhi tak mujse milne ghar kyun nahin aayi? Sab aaye tumhe chod ke. Kyunki bauji ne mana kiya tha isiliye? Agar bauji tumhe mujse baat karne ke liye ya mujse saare rishthe thodne ke liye mazboor karthe, tho kya karthi gunjan? Agar tum mere saath hoti, tho tum bauji ke baath nahin maan thi." Her voice was increasing. All that she had not spoken out for the past week was pouring out now .

They had stopped in front of Gunjans classroom and all other students were filing inside.

" Di. Main tum dono ke saath hoon , mujhe tum dono ka dukh dikhayi deta hain. Tumhe bas bauji ki majboori nahin dikhyi di."

"majboori? Bauji ki? " nupurs voice rose.

"Di dheere bolo. Please Di, main bas isliye ghar nahin aayi kyunki mujhe laga bauji ko thoda aur waqt dene se woh maan jaayenge. Agar main bhi unko chod ke chali jaathi , tho unhe bohot chot pahunchthi. Tumhe maine kitna miss kiya. " her eyes started filling up again.

By then, Shukla sir came and started ordering everyone inside. Gunjan squeezed her hand and went in. Nupur started walking towards her classes, trying to free her mind when she bumped into Samrat and Benji.

"oye, kya hua Mrs Sharma? Kiski soch mein khoyi hui ho?"

"chup nahin reh sakthe?," she replied irritatedly," aur tumhare haath mein yeh kya hai?" she asked as the box in his hand looked familiar.

"yeh! Yeh chashmish ne mere liye banaya hain. Gajar ka halwa. Woh kitna acche se banathi hain ki uska haath chhom ne ka man kartha hain. Waise agar woh halwa nahin banathi , tho bhi uske haath ko kiss karne ka man kartha hain." He said laughing and put a spoon of halwa in his mouth.

"yeh kis khushi mein diya gunjan ne?" she asked him stressing on the wrd khushi

"is khushi mein ki gunjan ne samrat ke saath uski farmhouse pe date ke liye maan gayi." Benji added trying to get a spoon of the halwa.

"farmhouse pe? Date? Chodo samrat, gunjan nahin jaayegi. Woh sab usko pasand nahin hai."

"nahin nupur..usne haan kiya."

"bilkul nahin jaayegi."she added with a finality in her voice and she walked out from there to her class.

Something in the whole scene irrited Nupur no end and she plopped herself next to mayank ignoring adhiraj and suhaani saying hi to her. Mayank thought that these days she was far irritable than before but he was kept so busy in the college due to some upcoming meetings plus his studies that he couldn't place what it was.

" is weekend ko kuch time nikalke isko kahin leke jaaunga tho shayad isko achha lagega. Almost 10 days hogaye hai shaadi hoke aur ek baar bhi ghoomne nahin gayi. Aur ek din bhi apne books nahin kholi. Is test mein pata nahin kaise pass hogi." He sighed.

Looking at her downcast face, he held her hands under the table and squeezed reassuringly.she returned the pressure. And smiled slightly.
