Excel canteen-the next day
(Background--Adhiraj trying to impress Suhaani, Dia with Benji playing the cupid between them. Dia has firmly told Suhaani not to give in easily, the rest of the gang is enjoying the fun. Nupur hasn't told mayank about her fight still as maynk had again come home late.)
A-D-Sam-B-U- M in the canteen. Adhiraj is arguing with Dia about why she is trying to detach Suhaani from him and Dia is refusing to accept that she has anything to do with it. Mayank is busy looking thro a book.
"tum college mein secretary kuch ho. Sab ki life ka nahin ." adhiraj is especially irritable as Suhaani told him – distance makes heart grow fonder and isliye hum dono alag rahke dekhenge. But as she makes sure he sees her regularly atleast half a dozen times a day, he is bugged with her.
"excuse me please. Adhiraj, dia college mein cultural secretary hain , kisike personal secretary nahin. Waise bhi Dia college mein Princess hain." Benji in a semi serious tone.
"thanks Benji. Adhiraj tum suhaani ko ek wonderful dress leke nahin de sakthe ho tho isme mera kya fault hai?"
"dekha, sab tumhara fault.hai. woh sab secret tha. Tumhe kaise pata chala."
"haan dids, tum kaise jaanthi ho? Woh tho Boys ka secret tha . agar adhiraj ne nahin bataya, maine nahin bataya, mayank ko time nahin hai aur sam ka hi idea tha, so...Benji?" , not understanding the guilty look on his friends face," Dids Benji ki baat nahin manegi."
Samrat was a little surprised that Benji and Dia seemed to be getting along so well these days. He exchanged a glance with Mayank. Initially, he used to be the balancing factor between them and now ...shayaad mein chashmish mein itna interested hoon ki mujhe mere old friends yaad nahin hain. "Sammy, tum bolo. "

"Sammy,tum apni sister se flirt karne ke liye adhiraj ko tips kaise de sakthe ho.?"
"oh hello, maine kuch tips wips nahin diya. Flirt karne ke liye bilkul nahin.Main na thodi Uday hoon ki apni sister se flirt karnekeliye kisiko bhi permission de do."
"achhaa, sam mujse kisine permission maangi thi? Kisne? Mayank ne? Us bookworm tho pata bhi nahin hoga ki main exist kartha hoon, aur suhaani ...nahin woh meri sister nahin hai-woh tumhaare sister hai. ok! Tumne permission maangi thi? Par sam tum tho sam ho.mere aur koi sisters nahin hain."
"tum itne irritating and dumb ho ki sab ko pata hai tumhare existence ke bare mein." Mayank said in the typical sarcastic style reserved for uday.
" mayank!!! And dodo main hoon "
"dids tumhi meri permission nahin logi tho tumhare partner kyun lega? "
"dodo, shut up." Benji and dia said together. And immediately looking at each other started laughing , and did a hi fi for being in sync.
Samrat and Mayank again looked at each other.
Hurt uday-" dekhaa, mera value hi nahin, permission ki kiski padi hai. sam , abhi se permission cancel ...aur benji tum mujhe dodo kyun keh rahe ho."
"uday maine kuch kiya hi nahin ."sam pretended innocence.
"aur mera tho kuch abhi shuru bhi nahin hua" murmured benji to himself.
"ok sam.. benji, tumhe no permission..." relenting in sam s favour.
"GUYSSS... yahaan meri baat chal raha tha," adhiraj screamed and half the canteen looked at him.
Mayank closed his book and sighed. Once he decided he had friends, he didn't seem to find the time to study within the college anymore.
"adhiraj, kya problem hai?"
"Mayank problem yeh hai ki jo bhi main suhaani ke liye plan kartha hoon, woh dia ke wajah se waste ho jaatha hai. and I want to know why"
Mayank looked at dia - she looked back at all the 5 guys in front of her and said,"okay," putting up her hands," woh hum sab thoda mazaak kar rahe the". hume laga ki adhiraj ko thoda satathe hai.thats it."
"mazaak? meri life ke saath."
"dekhna candy, abhi adhiraj kuch aisa karega ki tum logon ko mazaak bhoolna padega." Sam said patting adhiraj on his shoulder.
Nupur and suhaani joined them, nupur went,pushed benji away and made a place for herself besides mayank and asked " kya ho raha hai? tumhara kaam khatam hua? Tum logon ka snacks hogaya? Gunjan kaha hai?"
No one answered any of her numerous questions. Suhaani who was supposed to be ignoring Adhiraj went and sat between benji and uday smiling extra graciously at benji and looked at dia for approval. Mayank shook his head and raised his eyebrows at samrat.
Adhiraj , his nerves frought with the tension of will she- wont she, got up went round to her and sitting on his knees told her," tum mere saath chal rahi ho ya nahin?"
"tum apne knees pe kyun ho? propose karne ke liye?"
" nahin, tumhara height match karne ke liye. Ab bolo." Sarcastically.
"kahaan? Aur aise poochoge tho koi bhi ladki kahin pe bhi nahin jaayegi."
"mujhe koi bhi ladki ko kahin pe bhi nahin leke jaana hai. kya tum movie dekhne jaaogi ya nahin."
"depends. Jab shah rukh ki movie release hogi tab zaroor jaayenge." She turned to dia who was giving her hints that he knows you are playing the fool.
"ok," he got up. " fine. Tho main ab kisi aur ke saath chala jaaunga. " he looked around for any girl whom he could ask and finally his eyes resting on Dia, came to her and said," Dia, kya tum chalogi. Agar movie nahin tho shopping ya kahin bhi."
"WHAAAT?", suhaani was up from her seat looking at Dia and Adhiraj . Dia looked extremenly embarrassed while all the others were controlling their laugh.
"don't worry suhaani, maine us se permission nahin diya hai." uday assured her.
Pushing him aside, she went to adiraj and pulled him around," tum kya koi ..." and stopped seeing the smile in his eyes. Slowly, she realised everyone was laughing and dia was apologising to her thro her eyes.
Punching adiraj s arm with hers, she smiled and gave him a quick hug, putting into that hug all that she could not tell at that time.
" so sweet." Gunjans voice came from behind Nupur.
" bilkul tumhri halwe ki tarah ,chashmish. Chalo achha hua. " samrat had walked around to her, putting his arm around her shoulder, he asked her," ab tho tum khushi se farmhouse aa sakthi ho."
Gunjan smiled her acceptance.
"yesss", samrat gave her a quick peck on the cheek .
Mayank got up and saying lunch break khatam hogaya hai, ksisko class nahin jaana hai kya, started walking away followed by adhiraj and suhaani hand in hand.
Looking at all the love in the air, benji finally said-kabhi sochaa nahin ki itne saare love stories dekhne ko milega.
"haan. Sab ki luck itni achhi nahin hoti." Dia added with a wistfulness in her eyes. Before benji could respond, Uday had put his arm around her and squeezed it reassuringly. Benji smiled at both of them.
"Farmhouse mein kya picnic pe jaarahe hain? Kab jaana hai?" nupur asked somewhat acidly still on her seat.
All looked at one another, she had been rude to every person she had seen the past week . Dia shared with Benji and Uday that she felt it had something to do with Gunjan.
"Picnic nahin Nupur . Mera Date hai Chashmish ke saath." Samrat answered.
"farmhouse pe ! samrat gunjan waha nahin jaayegi tumhare saath akeli." She added with conviction," us se woh sab pasand nahin aata. Usko date pe leke jaana hai tho library me leke jao. "
"par nupur, chashmish tho ..."
"koi par war nahin. Tum apne hopes zyaada mat badaao."
"di maine hi jaane ke liye haan kiya." Gunjan added in a small voice.
"agar samrat emotional blackmail karega, toh tum aur kya karogi. Lekin gunjan, tu wohi kar jo tujhe sahi lagtha hai. kisi aur ke liye apne usoolon ko mat chodna." She said smilingly but her smile had no warmth in it. It was a grim forced smile.
Mayank had returned back and started urging all of them to go to class.nupur went first followed by a worried samrat and scared gunjan.
Bhushan House
" stupid mat bano Gunjan. Tum dono ne decide kiya hai, tho jao. Waise bhi tumne Sammy ko promise kiya hai. nupur ko baad mein samjhadena."
Dia was scolding gunjan into getting ready for her date as gunjan was worried about nupurs reactions. Gunjan had told dia and suhaani about nupur being upset with her.
Dia on her part couldn't understand why Gunjan was not visiting Nupur in her new home after Bui had given her permission. Sure , her dad wasn't happy but...maybe now that both her father and uncle had left to dubai for their work and Bui had gone back to Morena after convincing that Gunjan had to go to Excel to complete her studies, maybe things would be better.
Dia wished she could speak to either of them but ' Benji ko lagtha hai ki koi aisi problem nahin hai aur baat karne se sab shuru hojaayegi.' Uday had asked her why she bothered about benji s words . She just said- shut up dodo. Anyways let this date get over and i will speak to gunjan.
"and gunjan, kal nupur teek mood main hi thi. Hum dono milke meri date ke liye dress bhi select kiya. Bohot mazaa aaya. Aaj woh mayank ka kuch surprise plan tha , tho main yahaan aayi ready hone ke liye" suhaani added. She was going with adhiraj to some secret place- he had said.
Finally dia helped both the girls get ready and when samrat came to pick her up from home , gunjan forgot all her hesitation.Suhaaani also left soon.
Dia walked into the living room to find Benji and Uday sitting in front of TV watching a match. She sat beside Uday who suddenly gave her a hug with his one free arm (the other had wafers) saying," tum princess ho dids"
Dia looked surprised but touched and benji smiled at her .all three sat and enjoyed the match.
this is really long...next part onwards will make it shorter.
