Mayank's shirt bears ample resemblance to the purple flower. We wouldnt then be trying to explain the deeper essence of love - it would be more about lust.

its indeed amusing...JANE was supposed to b dis quiet shy person...very soft spoken..n hulllo
sheeena is NOWHERE close to datt........😳...
i can say nothing bout mayur as i dun catch any of dere scenes...as personally it makes no sense to me atall...jus watchd da latest promo dat is outt...n its so a copyy of DTPH scene...😕
i jus cannot see darcy n elizabeth in it...
i thank godd n da creatives...for finally ending dis playy...

RV was the best but he had not much of a screenspace..his natural character resembled Wickham..u got to read Aart's posts.. the base characters of MJHT all resemble PnP but when they wanted to copy it into a play they totally lost ground!

I for one cannot tolerate incessant sleaze in the name of romance.. and I dont worship mayank and nupur to adore any scene they might be put into!

sheena is nowhere near jane agreed.. but atleast something could have been done about jahnvis costumes *smacks forehead*

I thank God fr ending this debasing of PnP too!

@aarti
yup u never knw..if i didnt put the meaning there..they will report me fr calling mjht dog *smacks forehead*

Worst of all, Jane dancing on "dance pe chance" wearing that hideous glittering outfit?? Ughh!! I can almost see Austen getting ready to come and haunt the MJHT creatives till they apologize a million times!

Dance pe chance of all songs? It fails me how sum1 cud have the nerve to even envisage Jane in that avatar.

I honestly think the creatives have stopped working. They're being lazy...takin it easy or something. I think they come to this forrum and people request for 'passionate' scenes, like hugs, songs wagera, and so this is what the creatives think they need to do to impress the fans. So they're work is so much easier, all they need to do is put in faltu songs and random hugs, kabhi kabhi shirt uttarwado, bas chutti. Automatic sky high TRP's, fans blushin and fainting all over the place. No thought process required. 🤢 They don't have to do any work yaar, they know the fans will like it no matter what.

I agree with you Pallavi. Why do MN have to be a couple after they confess? I mean they can still hang around together, as friends, and not really do anything about things. As per the character sketch Mayank is very much focused on his studies, while Nupur has her own things. Do they have to be a couple then? They can still act like before, and argue over things, yet somewhere be in love, and get to know each other better. They should keep the whole romance aspect subtle. If the romance gets too much with respect to the romantic scenes, then it will eventually turn boring.

@ anu...

remember that jane austen was a feminist and even in that day and age, writing about marriage largely, she never stopped herself from adding her own tongue in cheek two bits about how ridiculous she thought the whole finding a suitable husband was a woman's ultimate goal! her women were all smart but with their flaws...if liz had her pride, emma had her holier than thou interference! there is so much more to liz than just her garrulousness. she is talkative for a reason, because she has the confidence in her intelligence to do so. liz would never doubt her worth.

EXACTLY! There was MUCH more to Liz than her garrulousness and she talked SENSE! Not random filmy crap!😆😆...anyways, I do adore Nupur's nautanki....but coming back to the main point....she would NEVER doubt her worth as you said! This whole 'ohhh Mayank doesn't consider me good enough for him' stuff is just🤢....but then what ISN'T 🤢 in this show...😆😆😆

The Sheena being the anti-thesis of Jane bit hardly bothers me....cuz given that Darcy-Lizzie are the main iconic characters from this book....THEIR massacre is the one that pains more!! Bringing us back to the ORIGINAL point about how this entire play was supposed to be MN/Darcy-Lizzie based😆😆😆 and what a NAZAARA we've gotten to see😆😆

And it's interesting how majority of the audience finds oh so much 'poignancy' in such a farce of a play as well😆

@ carooooooooooooooooo i just noticed!! you decided to embrace the moniker bestowed upon you with so much grace and dignity, you made a siggy out of it!! applause!!

*edit* anu...on the play being MaYur and LD centric...well, that's an altogether different story! i love nautanki nupur too! i adore her. but attribute in her some sense of self worth please!!

@ all...tam ma'am's apparent fear that climax of the play will change with MaYur's raging hormones. correct me if i am wrong here...do liz and darcy not finally make it at the end? i have only read PnP a thousand times or so. so i cannot be completely sure! or did i read a sequel of the novel, available exclusively for me?
