I haven't read Pride and Prejudice, but from what I do know- what they're showing in the play is NOTHING like the real story.
I agree with you COMPLETELY @ the Sheena comment. Her character is supposed to be shy and timid- WHY in the world is she dressed like she's about to step into a pub?
*pulls out hair* I am so damn confused you guys.
RV is perfect. He's evil in the play, he's evil in the show- 3 cheers for him.

Anu I cant even begin to imagine what could be more nagging.... 😆 😆 😆
I mean no offence but MN are quite diferent from darcy-elizabeth, there was way more to both of them that their egos and arguments (which were not superficial to say the least).

I always wonder if there is even one person in the creative team who respected the book for its worth and argued against the idea. oh well I could hardly take Bride and Prejudice.. this is even worse..

oh well coco...I recommend you READ it...coz not one interpretation is close to the classic. the british movie featuring colin firth came close to it but nevertheless DARCY is one of my fav characters in literature and rumor has it that ELIZABETH is a reflection of JANE AUSTEN in a lot of ways.

MUST READ THIS SUMMER 👍🏼 . then you'd see the ultimate mockery done here

Ditto! If the creatives REALLY wanted to get 'inspired' from Darcy-Lizzie, the LEAST they could have done was to focus on their verbal sparring atleast! But I guess that requires good dialogue writing skills....and that seems to be a big challenge for the makers of this show🤔

The entire play has been dance numbers, dance numbers, and MORE dance numbers...with ONE scene that's gonna be shown tomorrow...that's it😕😆

Sonali, original Mayank....the one from the early days did have some Darcy like qualities....Nupur is deffo not Lizzie-like but I guess they both have enough ego for the makers to think they could portray Darcy-Lizzie thru them.

Where they went DRASTICALLY wrong was the entire OTT filmypanaa to the thing.....the least they could have done was let MN have some dignity atleast.....but oh well.

LOL I doubt it matters to anyone from the creative team if they stuck to the essense of the classic that P&P is.....such things don't factor into their whole 'show 'romance', get quick TRPs' equation😉😆

Bride and Prejudice was a masterpiece compared to this....😆

Ahhh...Sigh! Forget it Caro....the whole PnP thing is one massive J-O-K-E now.
To be very honest i was actually impressed by the creatives choice to use PnP coz i was so utterly tired, bored, and irritated with every other Tom Dick Harry show doing their replicas of Heer Ranjha or Romeo Juliet or xyz crap...all that eternal love nonsense really sends my head for a spin......so PnP was a more than welcome change. Then later we had the news of it being a crossover with DTPH which is utterly pathetic according to me but still i thought maybe it might be worth it...but look what a complete disaster it has turned out to be. All we are being shown in the name of a play is dance sequences....and all the supposed "scenes" of the "play" are being shown randomly and that too backstage....like honestly WTH? Oh sorry yeh but that rehearsal was meant to instigate the MayUr misunderstanding...oh lord...yes there had to be a misunderstanding how coz how on earth would they fit in the DTPH finale if there was no misunderstandings shown...wahhh > Genius 🥱!
In terms of characters its another bungle....at the moment i seriously cannot relate Varun or Isha to their respective roles of Darcy & Elizabeth...but maybe thats coz Darcy keeps fluctuating between Varun & Mayank while Lizzie has totally gone for a fling and all we are seeing in the play is Nupur > not the headstrong & vibrant one but the one who has recently fallen hopelessly in LOWE with Mayank. <Thenn again this judgement is based on all the lovey dovey song sequences coz there arent any actual scenes to draw conclusions from.
And then on the side we have the worlds most stupidest things going on like....Nupur getting hurt by Mayanks comments on her < Hello Woman...wakey wakey...havent u read the Goddamn script? Oh sorry how could you when u had other important things to do like fall asleep / get locked in staff rooms and oogle at shirtless Mayank and watch LNBDJ with your favourite cousin. Mayank is still on his mission of hunting for the "signs" which will lead him to the Holy Grail of Nupurs love... 🤔! I dont watch SaJan but as ive been reading their too busy playing Katti Batti...i mean is this really the right time? 😕
All i can say is PnP was just for names sake > the play comprises of just 3 naach gaana sequences and the finale which mind you is the DTPH bit of the play! Goddddddd this show is seriously doing my head in now...🤢
