Written Update 8 April

The shopkeeper has come to Pandey house to show sarees to Vrinda. She seems disinterested. Shankar urges her to choose whilst Kashinath tells the shopkeeper to bring more sarees. Vrinda says there is no need. Kashinath understands from this that Vrinda like the others don't have faith in his choice. Vrinda denies this saying that she has never chosen anything without her mother. Kashinath advises her to call Sharada even though she is not coming to the wedding the least she could do is to fulfill her duty towards the preparations for the wedding.

Sanya is passing by, Kashinath calls her to chose some sarees. She makes an excuse that she is getting late.

Sharada is in her room. She has taken a saree out of her cupboard. Vrinda comes. Sharada sees Vrinda but doesn't smile and looks away. Vrinda tells her that the saree man has come. Vrinda tells her that she has not bought sarees without her so needs her to choose. Sharada says her choice is also not good. Sharada has some sarees and jewellery laid out on her table. Sharada says that since the day Kashinath brought Vrinda home, she has been buying these items for Vrinda and Raashi. She says that Raashi is getting her life back but Vrinda's life is going away from her. Vrinda denies this saying that when Sharada dresses her and does her bidaai, her life will smile. Sharada says that in that will be her regret that she couldn't do anything for her daughter. She adds that by doing bidaai the responsibility of parents are not over. They have to ensure that there daughter is happy in her sasural. She asks Vrinda how she Sharada will be able to keep on eye on Vrinda's happiness when the decision to marry is against Vrinda's heart.

At the hospital, Aditya is attending to Raashi. Sanya walks in she apologizes for being late. Aditya tells her he has already given Raashi her morning meds. Sanya says there was work at home which delayed her. Aditya says that he can help with Raashi but not with his other sister.

Sharada is on her way out. Kashinath stops her asking her to choose the sarees. Sharada refuses saying an unsuitable saree doesn't affect life much but an unsuitable groom affects ones entire life. She tells Kashinath that since he had chosen a groom on his own he himself can choose the sarees.
Sharada leaves.

Awastiji calls Kashinath on his mobile. They are arriving in Benaras and Kashinath has sent the car to pick them up.
Servant informs Kashinath that some one has come to meet him. Kashinath tells him to tell the person to come tomorrow as today is his daughter's wedding.
The servant says he told this to the person but the person is adamant about meeting him.

Vikram has come to meet Kashinath. Vikram apologises for troubling Kashinath. Kashinath asks him what he wants. He tells Kashinath that Kashinath had helped build Benaras with good intention asking for nothing in return. He tells Kashinath that he has not come for himself or Vrinda but for Kashinath's own sake. Vikram tells him that entire Benaras knows about Dehdahji's sense of justice. That is why he has come before that Dehdahji to bring justice for Kashinath Pandey who is embarking on such a path that he will regret for the remainder of his life. The daughter he loves the most, for whom he can give any sacrifice, today he is sacrificing her happiness. What will he pass through when as time passes he realises that which he thought as his daughter's happiness turns out to be her most painful.
Kashinath thanks him for his concern and tells him that the future pain he is talking about cannot touch his daughter and with time she will be freed from the pain and from the relationship which in her innocence she thought of as happiness forever.
Vikram asks Kashinath how he has come to the conclusion that that relationship is not able to give his daughter happiness? He asks him how he has decided that the human being who desires Vrinda heart and soul will abandon her? Vikram says his decision is a target of misunderstanding. Vikram asks Dehdahji how come he punishes a son for his father's sin. He tells Dehdahji that he is doing injustice to three lives. Vikram says that he, Vrinda and Kashinath are innocent and not to punish them such that people start to question his sense of justice.

Kashinath thanks him for his plea and agrees that Vikram is a good person.
Vikram says that the truth is there in his words because of the love between him and Vrinda. Vikram says he is also selfish, he has brought a plea for Vrinda's happiness which is linked with his own happiness. He tells him that he has come to beg for his happiness and if Kashinath gives his daughter's hand in his, he promises that whatever dreams he has dreamed for Vrinda will be fulfilled. Vikram adds that he is leaving Benaras tomorrow but urges him to remember that 3 lives are in his hands. A wrong pull of string will result in destruction. Vikram prays that he is proved wrong and Kashinath right so that Vrinda remains happy throughout life and Kashinath will not be ashamed.
Vikram touches Kashinath's feet and leaves.
Kashinath is lost in his thoughts, the Mere Apne title track plays.

Kashinath is in the garden. Shankar comes to see him. Shankar says he intends to go the station to receive the guests as there should be no shortfall in hospitality. Kashinath says there will be a shortfall as Sharada is not involved.

Kashinath sits on the swing and speaks to himself how Vikram's words are forcing him to think.

Vikram is leaving the grounds. He turns back.
Vrinda is in her room. She comes to the window.
Flashbacks of their meetings.
Vrinda cries
Both raise their hands as a sign of goodbye.

Precap.
Vikram touching his parents feet before leaving. Maya requests him to rethink his decision. Vikram says that even if he changes his decision, the situation remains.

Shankar and Vrinda come to meet Vikram at his house. Servant tells him that Vikram has left for the airport. Vrinda tries his handphone but it is switched off.
