Fill in the blanks, yes, my dear, but I do think Shivanand would have had boyhood friends, like Punnu for Rudra, plus at least a few Brahm Nisht Panthis, with ears and eyes open who could have found out things from the Balivesh camp for him.

But I am sure, judging from the way he reacts to Katharine walking out coolly now, that he must have had just such a cavalier attitude to security 24 years ago as well. His present behaviour tells us how his past behaviour must have been. It does not seem to even occur to him that Rudra might be kidnapped again.

See, Rao makes Charles spy on Katharine, and that shows the way his mind works, in devious ways. Shivanand has,. as I said, a commando mentality, excellent in all but plotting and spying.

Oh no, Shruthi, I would never discount the gift of the gab as a skill to be valued. Remember that I was a professional diplomat for 38 years, and a gift of the gab is part of my stock in trade😉. What I said was that apart from that, Charles does not seem to have any other remarkable power. Which is strange in a garuda.

Don't tell me Shymaladi Charles- Katherine is going another candy floss. Cant take one more. I would prefer it to be Russian Roulette love story only. And Shymaladi don't discount gift of the gab. The play of words is not for everyone and there are situations where you need that gift of the gab. It is a very very important and crucial skill. Though doesn't make much sense when stood alone, combined with other powers it does make real difference or shall I say in a team it becomes a crucial strength.

No, no, my dear Sri, it has always been the other way around. Poor Maya has had to confront a lot of rough stuff, including nearly being strangled by the love of her life! Some women seem to thrive on caveman tactics!

I missed out on replying to your slew of posts on my last thread, all of which I enjoyed, but I shall do so now, provided my 15 posts in 24 hours rule does not suddenly kick in. If it does, then late night!

Anyway, to bring the discussion back, I am understanding that RUDRA is still kadalai pottifying this girl and may win her over in next weeks. Good luck to him !!!

Thank you so much,my dear Preeti. Do keep your fingers crossed for my knee replacement end May to be successful. As for now, and till then, I have to hobble around womanfully.

As for the discomfort while typing my marathon posts, it is unavoidable, but doing them seems to take my mind off the knee for some time at least!

I look forward to your catching up with Mahakumbh and beginning to comment on it at length. I miss your posts.

Hello, dear Shyamala, I have been unable to comment on your writings as I am hopelessly behind on the episodes ( 3 weeks to be precise). I read about your ongoing battle with the pain in your knees and just came in to wish you a speedy recovery!

Thank you for doing this despite the obvious discomfort you are in

Whatever would I do without your vastly entertaining comments? Thank you!

My additional comments are in a nice, soothing blue.

Shyamala ji,
Great post as usual.

I am looking forward to this week. Rudra-maya romance seems to be over in the sense that the scenes are over.

This week it's going to be drama I guess.

I think Shivanand could not do much other than letting Katherine go. He did say that he has to keep an eye on them. May be some plan of his?

I felt Rudra's lines to Maya near the boat very different. There was almost like a transformation in him.
The pitch was low and calm. Very refined. Is it due to his contact with dadi n baba. Or the relief of getting near Maya?

Ganga seems to be hiding from the world but also unmindful that Srisanth panthis can run into her anytime. Last Kumbh was not Mahakumbh. While this one is. She sure knows the significance of this one.

I am glad Punnu is back in the mix.

My dear Purnima,

I fully share your bewilderment at some of the goings on this last week, whether it is the prem kahani No. 1 or Ganga and her 2 dozen sweaters. I expect Rudra will wear all of them after their punarmilan, and size be damned!😉

Now Ganga is a very confusing character. She looks very well kept,so she could hardly have been starving these last 24 years. /There is no explanation of why she does not make a beeline for Daadi's haystack masquerading as a tent.

Maybe she would rather avoid her saasuma, a sentiment which I can readily understand😉. But she goes about all day looking for Rudra, but not for Shivanand? How does she know Rudra will be at the Mahakumbh anyway?

It is very funny, the way in which Rudra's family is popping up in bits and pieces now that he is here. What I want is for Maimuyi to put in another astral appearance and offload some commonsense on to Rudra.

As for Charles, yes, I am also waiting for just that! But right now, everyone, including the 'Veshes, seem to be sleepwalking thru the story.

Hi Shyamaladi

Enjoyed reading your analysis as usual... Am just going with the flow and enjoying the show...

Rudra-Maya romance had better serve some purpose since it is being forcibly shoved down our throats!!

Don't understand wher does Rudra's Mom go to search for her son in the MK? Didn't the Brahm Nisht Pant put ip their tent and zhanda with such fanfare and she is unable to find it? Or her own house which is being guarded by Sahdev?? No logic there...

Well I for one was happy with the return of Punnu! Such a lovable character...

Also can't wait for the moment when Charles gets his ass kicked by Katherine...would serve him right for being do silly n impulse!

Well I do hope next week brings some action back in the story...last two weeks of Romance have been tiresome...hope they got that out of the system and we can proceed to the main story now...

Till later..

What an awesome post Shyamala. Totally awed by your analysis.

Sorry not to have commented on your previous thread too. Have missed the entire of last week's episodes. ( Been a crazy 10 days). But it seems have not missed too much as I cannot stand Rudra- Maya love story at all. Thanks for the pm.

Have just watched today and could not stand the precap. But today loved the come back of Naana- Balivesh schemeing team again.

Dear Shyamala, thanks for the brilliant read once again - this is becoming a habit now...😉

First, I have some nominations for the week - all to be taken with a pinch of you-know-what -

Dadi for Lifetime Achievement in the role of 'Infant terrible' for her tantrum at the Saraswatikund & elsewhere 😒

Sahadev for 'Best Bali ka bakra' - being anointed the Guard of the Kund is a surefire way to get knocked off - 🤔

Siva for the Kelvinator Penguin Special award - He's the Coolest one!

The Rudr-Maya bhutta scene for the Golden Raspberry for worst Romance - the only sparks flying were from the roasting bhutta

Punnu Tiwari for the Most Adorable SRK fan - what a line "kya jodi hai, mano sakshaat Gauri aur Sharukh..." 😆 plus he even said "bhindi" dhoondh rahe hain when he ws looking for Rudr in the sabzi mandi

...Charles evidently assumes, given that Prof.Rao has told him about Katharine being the only one of the 23 Interpol suspects not yet investigated, that she is a shady character, which is why he does not ask Shivanand why she has been brought there. I am sure the shadiness he suspects her of constitutes an immediate bond for Charles! So very true...😛 oh I forgot to nominate Kat& Charles for the Made for Each Other Award 😉

...Most important of all, how does Shivanand believe that she will not betray this hideout to Greyerson? He tells the other two, of whom Tiwari is seriously concerned about the fiasco, and justifiably so: Kucch nahin kahegi. Charles se bhi nahin. Kyonki Katharine bhi ek garud hai..Antar sirf itna hai ki wo hum me se ek hokar bhi hum me se nahin hai..

I felt like shaking him out of his impenetrable calm and yelling at him,,,, + 1

...But alas, Shiva is reduced to sighting Katharine, behind him, camera in hand, entirely by chance, in in the polished lid of the gizmo container. Just like Maya could not have gone by any other moniker, Siva's gizmo could only have been encased in that mirror-effect box of course! Thank God he spotted her even if at the eleventh hour.🤢

Which leaves the Seventh Garuda... I am going with Dadi as my contrarian candidate -for several reasons:

- she has some superb yogic skills for sure that would come in handy

- that turtleneck-effect wrap around her neck could be the ideal cover for her tattoo

- even if she knew she was a garud, she'd never voluntarily reveal it knowing Siva's vaigyanik tendencies

- in general, it pays to never underestimate tough old women; they've seen it all!

...Earlier, Rudra was like a time bomb ready to go off. Now he is like a damp squib that Shivanand is trying desperately to set off.😭 Balivesh will be the one to set him off by attempting to harm Maya(or Ganga), coz Rudr is all heart and the cerebral Siva will never make any "head"way with him! (pun intended) Btw, did you notice that Thursday's pre cap showed Maya & Punnu escorting Ganga away from the ashram, and later when Rudr carries the injured Maya into the hospital she is wearing Ganga's clothes???!!! They tried some decoy tactics... And the evil guys then try to poison Maya's drip line with ominous "Blue" toxins...🤢 Also was the blue-eyed evil guy in the close-up one of the long-promised Nagas???

An encounter to remember: ... that is the splendid double martial arts encounter between Shivanand and Katharine. Totally agree - It was the bonsai version of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
