Hi Arshi, the part about recreating Amrit - from what I understood in the show, and Shyamala has explained here is that they do not want to recreate the Amrit. They want to find a way to channel a Kan of Amrit to the Saraswati Kund for it to regain its healing powers. This will be done only when it naturally appears on the last day of MK.

OK maybe I misunderstood the conversation. I shall have to see it again.

Sandhya - Please come to your senses - What MUZ did deserves a Nobel Peace Prize, Magasaysay and any other International award worth its salt. With her pati always being so reckless and senseless like this, she is the ONLY One in the whole of Kingdom who can cure the disease as well as pacify the agitated awaam. Otherwise Akbar would have been lynched by a mob from Agra only. Thank God he chose to marry MUZ.

Anyway, to bring the discussion back, I am understanding that RUDRA is still kadalai pottifying this girl and may win her over in next weeks. Good luck to him !!!

Dear Arshi,

I am glad you liked this one, and that you are on the same page as I am re: the points made in the main post.

As for the Rao-Shiva plan, I have tried to clarify in my note that Rao and Shiva are NOT trying to make the amrit appear. It will do so on its own, and it is only in the Second Book that the positions of certain stars that govern its appearance are given. And that book is with Shivanand, which is why Greyerson is desperately keen to get him back under his influence, Presumably it is far more difficult now with the Mahakumbh security and with the Brahma Nisht Panth being out in the open, plus Balivesh being non-cooperative re: this matter.

Now, Shivanand also tells Greyerson, even before they leave Poland, that the amrit will be visible only to those with gyanachakshu, and not to the rest. This means that the role of the garudas re: protecting the amrit consists of keeping it invisible to the unworthy, and I expect that for doing this, they need the combined power of all the 7 garudas, like a battery that needs a certain voltage. If the2 weaker ones are kept away from the scene of the emergence of the amrit, the power will not suffice, the amrit will become visible, and the Secret Society will seize it.

This is, I feel, the general scenario. Now the supplementary Saraswati Kund exercise with that gizmo is to try and see if there still is a subterranean srot with a jeevit kan of the vilupt Saraswati. Don't ask me how that contraption, which looks like a high voltage storage device with all those spheres, is going to detect all this! 😉

If there is such a kan, or at least some indication that the Saraswati is still around there, Rao & Shiva seem to hope that on the last day of the Mahakumbh, they can divert a bit of the amrit - which they can see when it emerges (presumably in the contested Sector 53) , since they are the good guys with the gyanachakshu - to the Saraswati Kund once more. Exactly as was happening in the old days, so that the Brahma Nisht Panth can continue with the good work as before. As I noted in the annexure, about this plan:

This is ambitious, yes, but neither cunning nor dangerous, nor even new. The amrit is going to come up anyway at the Sangam on the last day. It will then, all going well, disappear again for another 144 years.

It is not as though they are making it appear.Nor is it as though the amrit will hang around for all time to come, at their beck and call!

Secondly, it is not as though this minor osmosis of the amrit into the Saraswati Kund in the Brahma Nisht Panth ashram is anything new. It has been happening traditionally, and the healing waters have been constantly used to heal the sick among the general public. Only, no one seems to have made the connection between the once in 144 years appearance of the amrit at the Mahakumbh and the healing powers of the Kund water.

Now the dark forces have made this connection. But that is not because of Shivanand or his researches. It is clear from Greyerson's account that the knowledge has come from those ancient tomes that the Secret Society has been researching so assiduously.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
As for what Naanu & Co. know, it is very confusing. As I noted in the pot pourri section of my last post but one, A triangle of an unusual kind:

5)Given that Naanu & Co. were doing 24 saal ka tap for the amrit, and Balivesh has had his eye out for Rudra since 1989, it follows that they knew of some connection between him and the amrit. But not about the garuds, nor about the amrit being real and emerging at this once in 144 years Mahakumbh, judging from Balivesh's reaction to Greyerson's revelations about their researches. Nor about Shivanand being, or having, the key to the whole arcane mystery, for otherwise, Balivesh would never have handed him over to the Cardinal. It is all very confusing right now, what Naanu and Balivesh knew, and what they know now.

Matters have not improved since then!😉

Dear Shyamala,

Hats off to you for bringing out the detailed analysis we all eagerly wait for once again inspite of all odds.

i am in total agreement with your views on all the points in your post, except one

The stand of shiva and Rao, in regard to amrit.

Here the script really confuses me. If the amrit appears on its own, as I had earlier thought, then shouldn't RAO and shiva duo be trying to figure where and how?

I am sure the doosri kitab will have clues about where it appeared in the last Kumbh 144 years ago and where it will appear again.

the automatic appearance of Amrit seems to be a given, and dalvesh has been preparing for this by keeping a tab on nagas for this. He also seems to know whereabouts it would appear for the doosri kitab doesn't really bother him.

Second is the plan of rao and shiva to trace Saraswati, get its water and make amrit appear by recreating a sort of triveni sangam. Why is that needed if amrit has been appearing on its own?

Also, we have seen that unknown to themselves fate has drawn Garudas to the site - of course Charles has been brought here by rao, tiwari by conscious knowledge, shiva by Grerson, Katherine by being made a spy in greyrson Gang and rudra by Maya, but of these 5, only 2 are here by conscious knowledge of their role to protect the amrit, the other 3 are here because some divine design wants them to be, and I assume the remaining 2 Garudas would also be here.

So, if amrit appears on its own, and Garudas will converge on their own, why do the rao shiva duo plan to make it?

Why not focus on finding its location, and fortifying the area, tracking and training the Garudas? Why is there no master defense strategy being made of the point of its emergence? When shiva walks around with his tech gizmo so close to d-day in broad daylight, isn't he giving his game plan away? After all he did rouse Kat's suspicions.

Weak scripting or is there more to let's make amrit, in broad daylight openly and obviously, even though we know that inetrnational agencies that kept me locked up for 24 years are here and looking out for me...

After all shiva should've known that his every move is going to be tracked by Grerson. And Greyson is pretty knowledgeable about things.

By recreating amrit, 1. aren't they putting it in greater danger? 2. What of the place where it is to automatically appear? Who's going to take care of that?

WOW Shymaladi I loved your take this week and believe me this week we both are in agreement on most counts. Only thing is that I have couple of interesting takes on certain things. Coming to 7th Garud I really hope Shymaladi CVs wont disappoint me. My guess are from a logical point only. But I don't trust TRP funda. TRP ke liye anything can happen. Logic can fly from the story like anything to the point you feel where it all started and where it all is going. But anyways even if it is different from what I thought, I will surely put it in the forum on what basis I assumed 7th Garud post the revelation.
So let me put my take for this week in order of preference
Right People are needed to protect Amrit and protection of those people is important- I have been harping on this point from last week. In your post you pointed out why Shiva bought Katherine to the secret library. Why he called all the other Garuds there. Why he trusted just because Katherine is a Garud she will be part of the mission. This is the problem I have been trying to tell about Shiva. His people skills are poor. Look at the way Charles did the suicide attempt and the dialogue he used. If I die all your Garuda Puran comes to an end. Shiva had no option but to let Charles and Katherine go. Katherine now with the deadly info of the underground library. So the question remains with me what did he do 24 years back to protect himself and his son. Because without their protection there is no saving of Amrit. You yourself asked is Shiva not aware of the dangers. Especially after being captured by Greyson and co. He is so concentrated on Amrit that he is unable to bring the people needed to do it in a single mala. People management is a skill in itself which unfortunately Shiva lacks. Why I harp on 24 years back is the fact that the protection of Shiva and Rudra largely looks like the destiny took it in its hand. It is just luck that the cardinal or someone in Greyson's camp didn't feel like shaving Shiva's head. It is again luck that the Rudra who fell into the water landed into the hands of a noble man like udiya baba and then Maimui. We all know how misplaced children gets into various crimes, used for begging etc etc..Thankfully Rudra didn't end up like this. And still that lack of protecting him and rest of Garuda's continues in Shiva and it is again has to be destiny to save them unless something happens to make Shiva see the light on importance of protecting the 7 people in first place.
Dadi and Maya : This I would say another way of showcasing patriarchy. Why. Because Dadi was manipulative to the core with her sugar syrupy words. Well she managed to get the guilt out of the girl that she was responsible for Maimui's death by telling Rudra met his father. Actually I liked Maya's anger on Punnu and then her firm telling to Dadi that she chooses Rudra but she would prefer to complete her sankalp before agreeing to the marital life. To be frank I loved the girl's determination to finish of what she started and also her anger was a way to block the emotional turmoil she was feeling when Rudra visited her. See she wants to be understood, she wants to be trusted and left alone to complete what she set out to do. She does not want disturbance. But look at Dadi. She gave Maya permission to do Sankalp but told her potha that he can visit her as and when needed. As a woman I hate it when my choices are given secondary preference and it is implied that whatever I do my first duty is to be bahu, maa, patni blah blah. It is not that I don't love these roles but there are times I want my loved ones to understand that there is something else that has priority at that given point. Why couldn't dadi tell her potha firmly that Maya is doing a Sankalp and he should wait for her, without disturbing her and she will come to him once she completes that. That is what you call respecting a individual's choice doesn't matter man or woman. Here Dadi reeks patriarchy to the core
Now last part Romance. We have 2 couples this week. Rudra-Maya and Charles-Katherine. This is my take on both.
Rudra- Maya- I hate candyfloss romance and in a thriller well it kills time and takes out the pace. And if it is the lead who is supposed to be anchoring the mission lost in this candyfloss romance my say is This gave me exactly the same feeling I used to have when I saw Dev-Nithya in EHT. Simply disconnected. I neither felt Karma ka bandhan nor prem ka bandhan. To be frank koi bandhan dikhayi nahi de raha tha😆😆. So I rest my case on them at this point and hope we get to see something better this week.
Charles- Katherine- Well for me this is the love story that suits a thriller. Charles is maverick but I don't think he is out of mind to die for the sake of Katherine. There is more to Charles action than what meets the eye. You have an evenly placed attacker and defender in a Russian Roulette Love story. For me it looks like Charles is laying Katherine and Kat is laying Charles. Both are equal, wants an upper hand. And a love story which obviously will be encouraged by both Greyson and Garuda co without even knowing what exactly is happening in the love story. Both have secrets to guard. Kat has to win Charles trust, Charles has to win Kat's trust. So lot of game changing info is gonna pass through this so called " Tere pyaar mein kho javun fana" love story. And believe me I love such stories.😆

Aunty, I thought the week was totally insipid (bar the one in Shiva's library), but your post is totally chatpata 😊
I was totally disappointed this week. I have noticed that whenever Rudra-Maya love story takes centerstage, the week becomes uneventful. Everything comes down - the pace of the story, the quality of the story, the quality of the acting. So I applaud you for making such an interesting, witty post on a week that was totally bland!

Like you, I hope Maya takes Shiva's side and take the story forward.

@sp108 agree to you. Only thing that interested me too was what happened in Shiva's library and one more thing the mysterious dialogue by Rudra's mom " Ye meri ladayi hai". Not sure what it means. Else it was slow paced. Even the villians were not to be seen much.

Hmm...interesting. Actually even when Maya asks her to report the missing family, Rudra's mother says that there will be danger in that. She seems to be hiding herself from the world for now, maybe because she thinks that all her family members have died. And as you said, she has some task that she needs to finish off on her own in the present circumstances.

Mandy dearest,

I do not know what to say to this, except that I wish I could blush! Such extravagant praise and so much affection makes one feel humble, and I normally believe, like Sherlock Holmes, that humility is an overrated virtue.

I have not yet been able to rewatch that excerpt for which you have sent me the link, but I will, and I have another favourite bit from the day before that, so I shall comment on both. I still watch the show , and plan to do so till the end. But I wish you would make a little special effort and catch up with Mahakumbh, for I would love to have your considered views on it.It is just now moving to the mid point, and then maybe we will have a break before they start on the second half.

Affectionately,

Shyamala

That, my dear Shreya, is what is called making a silk purse out of a sow's ear (though I have never understood why the sow's ear!😉). I had fun writing it, and it took my mind off my knee for the duration, which was a plus!

Yes, the force-fed romance is very fatiguing, and so was Daadi's mooning over her Brahma Nisht-ready grand bahu (if there is such a word!). She does not seem to bother too much about her real bahu!

I have high hopes that Maya will do just that, side with Shiva, I mean, for if not, how on earth is Rudra going to come around, and equally important, bring Charles with him?
