I think its not Prof. Rao who is trying to find lost Saraswati in the show, Saraswati is a Vedic river that is lost/dried up and there are various versions of which river it was. And it was lost long ago and lost for all of us too and not just in the show.
So I'm not sure its symbolic of missing knowledge atleast in the show. There is a lot of knowledge missing in general.

Santhi, copying my post from Arshi's thread. Prof.Rao's intentions are still not clear.
-----------------

Yes, the triveni sangam is in Allahabad. Confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical/invisible Saraswati. From what I remember Saraswati originated in the Himalayas and flowing through many places would go through Rajasthan and end up in the Arabian Sea at Rann of Kutch. But at some point due to tectonic shifts it dried up. But people believe that it exists and is invisible, and that it meets Ganga and Yamuna at the triveni sangam.

Prof and Shiva's conversation was a bit confusing. What I feel is Prof wants to locate the invisible Saraswati river so that he can get the Amrit before it's natural appearance at the triveni sangam. Shiva looks skeptical and more keen on gathering his Garuds, but somehow Prof looks greedy here. What is Prof up to?.

I think Prof. Rao said, we need to revive Saraswati for Amrit to appear. I can double check. Amrit may not appear because the kund dried up.

Hmm, But then isn't the Amrit supposed to appear at the Triveni sangam? Saraswati Kund was in their home/ashram right?
In that scene, Prof. starts off saying that the machine will help them find the invisible Saraswati. When Shivanand looks at him a bit skeptical, he says unless we find Saraswati, how will you find the Amrit.

Maybe you can double check and see what he said.

Yeah, good question...😛

Taking it further, if Maya were called something else the script wouldn't work...😆

And the Vesh's are obviously a trio of thugs - Bali-Dali?/Dev(il?)-Anim(al)

Maimui & Udiyababa - now where's my Bhojpuri dictionary gone?

Katherine & Charles - oooh shouldn't that have been William?

Sivanand & Rudr - the "hottest" Father & Son in the brahmaand..🤣

Thappadiya Mai - no wonder she beat "Bali" at arm-wrestling...😉

So Aparna, I took your advice and re-saw the prof shiva convo.
Here is the transcript for the same :

Prof: with the help of this device we will look for traces of water ( underwater life? ) under the Saraswati Kund, and if we find them , we will try to look for its source and it's connection with sector 53.

Shiva : excuse me sir, I know how important this mission is for you, and how hard you have worked for this, but...

Prof : but, your attention is focused on finding the Garudas, but even you know this Shiva that if we can't solve the secret of the Saraswati Kund and re activate it, then inspite of having the 7 Garudas, we will not get Amrit. Triveni Sangam is very crucial for amrit, ie. The Union of Ganga Yamuna and Saraswati.
This Union will happen only when we find the missing Saraswati. We will all help to find the rest of the Garudas - i Charles and tiwari, but only you can do this job of Saraswati kund. Shiva it's very important for us to achieve this

Shiva : now Saraswati kund will be active again. Seven Garudas will also be together. And only we will get the Amrit.

So, the two are actually planning to recreate sangam - by activating saraswati and making amrit appear!

A of modern day samudra manthan - find the traces of the water of Saraswati and make it join Ganga and Yamuna so that amrit can appear at the triveni sangam and have Garudas ready to defend it.

Hmm, gadbad!

Happy - Bali - root word - bal - taqat - Vesh - form, disguise, attire - the muscle man ?

Dal - Gang, group - the Gang leader?

Animesh - vigilant - so that I guess is a bit of a misnomer ...

Maimui - mai - ma, mui - can be interpreted as someone manhoos - no literal translation for it - someone who shouldn't be alive -

Udiya - a flier - someone who can't be rooted - root - udna
