Yesterday Dr Rao was talking Saraswati is invisible. Only if they are able to find Saraswati Amrit can be saved. Reason Amrit comes up in Triveni sangamam. I mean the point where Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati meet.
Saraswati according to mythology is Goddess of Knowledge. So the fact that Dr Rao and co is not able to locate Saraswati symbolic of the knowledge yet unknown to them. Because unless the know the unknown the 7th Garud cannot be located. Without locating the 7th Garud Amrit obviously cannot be saved.
I feel it is also symbolic of the vast knowledge which the humanity is yet to know. The knowledge that is buried deep down which is given only to the right seeker in other words the one who asks the right questions.
I am loving MK like anything now. Its deep connect to mythology and the way symbolisms are put forward which are quite useful in the contemporary world also.

It can be Lupta Saraswati. The river which is gone, disappeared.
At Prayag, at Triveni sangam, Ganga & Yamuna meets from 2 opposite directions & Saraswati joins them from down. Had visited this place & taken a dip too as a kid.
It's said what appears to be lost is actually not lost. It's present somewhere in Brhmanda. Such knowledge reappears at the right time to it's eligible seeker. It's a good theory about lost knowledge surfacing during manthan.

@Meena exactly what you said. What we believe lost is not actually lost. Science itself says " Energy can neither be created nor be destroyed. It can only be transformed from one form to another" also " What goes around comes around"
So one way or the other it has to show up. But only the discerning eye will be able to see it. Especially spiritual knowledge you have to surrender yourself completely to the Supreme Power to understand it, the way Arjuna surrenders to Krishna. Ego will always cloud your vision

Everything in this show has a dual meaning,
On the literal meaning, and second the sublimal one

So while literally they may be talking about quest for amrit and sarawati the river,

The real essence is the ancient knowledge that lies buried deep under , and that will help us to find the true purpose of life

A lovely analysis Shruti. And truly everything here has 2 meanings like Arshics said. You really need to think about it to understand the deeper meaning.

@Arshics that's why I am liking MK so much. Because it is deeply linked to the ancient knowledge, our culture, our beliefs, the meaning behind them. It is profound and the script is doing its best to keep things going. Many things are not to be judged straight for what we see of it. It has sublime meaning. But you need patience, observation and keen analytical skills to understand MK. That's why it is not for the masses but for the discerning audience only.

So true, which is why it has a committed viewer base which may not too large, but they really appreciate the theme, the research that has gone into the show, the deeper meanings and subtexts.

I am really glad that finally there is a story which which is off beat, new yet very very steeped in our own past.

Such a story is very difficult to handle, but the production team is handling it exceedingly well.

^ Such shows are not meant for everyone. I remember watching Yudh and my friends would watch it and question every little thing. That was another show that wasn't meant for the masses but for people with a true appreciation for thought provoking shows. Another is Pukaar that recently ended (airing on this channel). And now this. Such shows are gaining momentum, but not masses.
