That is according to you.. which I would disagree.. and I was talking about the real suicide.. had he attempted we would know if the earrings made him immortal or not..

1.First bold sentence of yours -please read carefully it talks about duryodhana Accompanied by all these he set out with a heavy heart.
2.Second bold line again generalises and not talk of Karna alone...
3. I dont think Karna would address Dritrashtra as father...😊

#1..'Karna'
#2.."Purochan"
#3..."We"

#4...citation of the 'remorse on Varnavat'.../ /

#5 please ignore.😊

This one area of Karna I find little difficult to follow. He is a great warrior and aspires to vanquish Arjuna in the war.. As rajhansa can separate milk from water he too is righteous and understands dharm from adharm.

But yet, he is always atleast a mute spectator in every scheme, plot of Dury. Why not just go out, challenge Arjuna in one to one combat and done with it.. With no Arjuna, pandavas strength would be no big threat. This could achieve his life long ambition and also be beneficialto dury.. May be political Implications.. But he could always challenge on pretext or even when Arjuna set alone to acquire divyastra. And take a blame on himself after kiling Arjuna.

He is very generous and yet enjoys to see Pandavas' plight, savours their misery. He has a great heart yet wishes to insult and mentally torture aggrieved pandavas who are now ashamed of their deeds after vh and are living quietly in exile.

He is very happy when dury sends durvaasa to pandavas to add to their woes. The citation says him to be overjoyed in this situation. He is a noble person yet takes pleasure in this subterfuge and expects pandavas to be cursed by irascible durvaasa. Why ...

I think he knows that Krishna is supreme lord, he also acknowledges that yudhi is better ruler so obviously he is spiritually highly evolved person yet displays narrowmindedness at times..

But Mr. Cots didnt he regret all that in his convo with Krishna..... is redemption/repentance only limited to "right " ones..
"For those harsh words, O Krishna, that I said before unto the sons of Pandu for the gratification of Dhritarashtra's son,--for that wicked conduct of mine,--I am consumed with repentance. When O Krishna, thou wilt behold me slain by Arjuna, then will the Punachiti of this sacrifice commence. When the (second) son of Pandu will drink the blood of the loudly roaring Dussasana, then will the Soma-drinking of this sacrifice have taken place! "

It was a mistake did out of his thirst for knowledge...If your intentions are pure ,it would justify the way you are achieving it..its my opinion..😊

i have just basic knowledge of mahabarath.on that basis i respect karna and bheeshm only.ofcourse krishna is lord so he is always loved.
karna faced many difficulties before achieving respect what remaining characters achieved by their skills.
i would like to know if he gave idea of vastrapaharan or just badmouthed draupadi that day?

His "purity" of intentions did not do him much good, did it?

He went to Sage Parashurama to obtain the secret of Brahmastra- but came back not only empty handed, but laden with a curse.

On the day of his graduation from Dronacharya's academy, Dronacharya would have advised him "Satyam Vada...Dharmam chara...Acharya Devo Bhava"

DId he forget his guru's parting advice in his "thirst for knowledge" ?

I would say that was unfortunate.. talking about suicide, i.e more or less, it was when he thought his teacher's sleep matters more than his pain.. he dint know that it will get him caught.. he dint know how to pretend well.. this is what I think and what I think all Karna admirers think.. I think I am withing the limits of the question on the title..
