Are you sure Shruti? i would like to know if anywhere he craved for food ir felt hungry more often than others..

I dont think he was a foodie.. He carried Kunti on his shoulders, Twins on his sides, Yudi & Arjun by hands.. imagine how he would look? and how much food he would need?

Can I call an Elephant to be a foodie because it eats more than what I do?

They think we watch Mahabharat for an actor...so this particular point won't bother us 😆

Diala di, when Bhima asked Yudhi that why he's unable to enter the heaven with him...Yudhi told him that he ate too much, not caring about others. 😊

But this side of him never had any effect on the warrior Bhima.

Agree with everyone
CV's did a wonderfull job with pandavas during their childhood.Yudi was shown as calm and intellegent,Bheem was shown as a strong and loving brother and arjun as a obdient warrior.Everyone was important.
Dont know what has happened to CV's now they have completely destroyed their own charecterization
I know people interpret MB book differently. But the role Bheem played in lakshagarah track is not open to interpretation its sepcified clealry in the book the role he played so where does the question come for showig a differnet interpretation
All my sympathies for people whose fav character is Bheem i cant imagine how you are watching this show seeing your fav character being distorted to this extend.Bheem isnt my fav yet i feel so irritated by this
But i still have hope i relly hope CV's show Bakasur and Hidimb track and show it properly with no arjun like it should be and develop Bhem's character

The overeating wasn't a sin, but an imperfection on Bhima's part which was why he couldn't walk to heaven. Mr Yudisthir did walk by himself from that point on. Yeah, his brothers could have stayed home to guide Parikshit, and die whenever they could.

Bhima would do a lot more strenuous exercise & labor compared to what anybody does today, so he'd not have had any cholesterol or diabetic issues. As Veerenu points out, he was muscular, not fat. They could have used one of those V bod shaped actors to play him, instead of Saurav - nothing against him personally.

Without trying to get into compariosns, I liked DBSK's depiction of Bhima. While they introduced some Krishna devotion into him (something excusable given that the serial was about Krishna), they got his role more or less right. They showed in detail the miners building the tunnel, and then stole in a small role for him @ the end. There, it was hard to connect the 2 ends of the tunnels where they met, & Bhima, dwelling on Krishna, managed it.

Too bad that the serial stopped showing the Mahabharata after Bakasura's death, and got into fictional stories about Sudama & Paundrak. Otherwise, that serial did a reasonable job. Only complaint that some of the actor choices were mediocre - Arjun, Nakul, Sahadev, and that serial had no Karna 😆 But other than that, they covered the Lakshagriha portion better than what this serial - a MB to boot - is doing.

@bold.. I was talking about Yudi making Bhim carry the brothers.. You use his energy and later complaint over eating.. that is not fair.. I too don't remember any fat Bhims.. Talll man with proportionate measurements is what I have seen in cinemas, serials and comic books..

Oh, I agree. Yudisthir's explanation seemed to suggest that Bhima should have just done all that work w/o eating. But then, why couldn't Yudisthir have done the same for all - carry them - and put Bhima on a diet?

But in this journey, Bhima wasn't carrying all of them - they followed each other, single file, and each of the tails dropped off one by one - Draupadi, Sahadev, Nakul, Arjun and finally Bhima.
Bhima only carried his entire family during the post Lakshagriha period. During the Pandava exile, Ghatotkacha and his rakshasha followers did him the favor - Ghatotkacha carrying Draupadi, since she was legally a mother of his, while the other rakshashas carried the Pandavas and all flew.
