Well, they at least gave something to celebrate about Bhima, even if it was completely fictional. Incidentally, was Ghatotkacha the king of the rakshashas? Or just a chief? I doubt that the Rakshashas would have accepted a foreigner like Bhima as their king, but Ghatotkacha would have been perfectly acceptable.
