Aja,Seeradhwaj Janaka(Sita's Father) his brother Kushadhwaj Janaka and all Janakas (Kings of Mithila),Khusa,Nala and many more from Solar Dynasty.

Nahusha,Jyamadh,Vidarbh,Dushyanth,Ugrasena,Bheeshmaka,Nanda,Balaram and many Lunar dynasty kings followed one man one wife policy.

Looks like almost 80-90% of the Kshatriyas followed this rule.Infact a ruler has to remain a role model to his subjects and the entire kingdom he rules.

I don't think to keep friendly relations with neighbour kings or to carry trade one needs to go for multiple marriages.Kings have many sons and brothers,Cousins etc.and many other relations within the royal family of a particular kingdom. All of them will be recognized as princes hence there is no need to get the same man married many times to make ties with Neighbour Kingdoms.

For Kings(Royal Families) Royalty lies in their truthfullness,Righteousness and loyalty!

Thanks for sharing! and Nice opinion.

There is a famous quote - Loyalty is Royalty!!😊

And yeah the rulers have to be perfect and exemplary for their people. That's why they are addressed as 'His/Her Highness!'

People in our Indian History used to regard their Kings & Queens as incarnations of God!!This shows how ideal they have to be with a spotless character to guide their own subjects.

There is a Sanskrit Sloka...

yathA bhUmis_tathA toyaM, yathA bIjaM tathA'nkuraH |
yathA deshas_tathA bhAShA, yathA rAjA tathA prajA ||

Meaning : as the land so the [ground] water, as the seed so the sprout.
as the region [country] so the language, as the king(Ruler) so the people(Ruled).😊

"If the king is immoral, so will be his subjects".

4) It is also said, Rama promised Vali to give him a chance to avenge his unjust murder. Vali was reincarnated as the hunter and archer Jara in Mahabharata (Dwapar Yug). Jara was the cause of the end of Krishnavatar (the reincarnation of Shri Rama) when he struck His feet by an arrow taking them to be a deer.

Just know referred Valmiki Ramayan.Interestingly none of the above scenes are mentioned in any of the chapters.(Please correct if I'm wrong.)

Precisely there is nothing mentioned like 'next incarnation of Rama' or 'Krishnaavatar' in the entire book of Valmiki Ramayan!

So from which source they were taken!?And what about Tulasidas Ramcharitmanas, were any of the above mentioned incidents given in Tulasidas' narration!?Anyone please clarify!

None of these things are mentioned. But also, in Valmiki, Rama never made any vow to Sita to remain monogamous - he just was.

The gopis were rishis, but not those 16,100 princesses, afaik.

These are very famous oft quoted words

" You are as dear to me as my own life and Lakshmana is your younger brother and Seetha is your kith and kin. With you we have become five brothers. "

Regarding Hanuman, I will find out. This incident I was able to quote from memory.

You opened my eyes!SBP has nothing like 10 sons and 1 daughter. All the 16,100 women had only 10 sons each,no mention of daughters.Charumati was the name of Krishna and Rukmini's only daughter.

According to the head of a spiritual organization, Lord Krishna had a daughter by each of His wives numbering a total of 16100.Don't know on what basis this was predicted. He explains that each of the Lord's queens had one daughter, and that this mention of Charumati's marriage is an indirect reference to the marriages of all these princesses.😕

Ok my question.I'll be glad if it is answered. From where did One Lakh Sixty One Thousand Warrior Class Brides come?Who raised those 1,61,000 girls for Krishna's sons!?Were their names mentioned in any Purana? They too(Krishna's sons) must have prospered with 3 -4 wives or atleast 2 wives.

Was there any shortage of Brides!?

I missed this!

@ Bold interesting! So are the references made for Krishna's other alliances indirect!?!?😕

If not did such references of previous centuries lead to all these accounts?

If you study the history of our Mythological Kings.

You will find those inclined to immoral pleasures with an obsessive behavior having multiple partners (Many of them as far as I know)

And the Kings who were filled with detachment and free from worldly passions were loyal to their only partner. Not only life partner but all relations including their subjects.Since they were on a spiritual plane they just fulfilled their duties sticking to truth. Thus righteousness was established.
