There are few stories linking Ramavatar and Krishnavatar...

1) The 16000 women were not ordinary girls. They were great rishis during Rama Avatar itself. Those 1000s of rishis were attracted by Rama and requested Him to allow them to stay with Him. But, Rama assured them that He will accept them in His next descendence to earth as Krishna in dvapar yuga.

2) Pleased with his help during the battle with Ravan,Lord Rama granted Jambavanth a wish.Jambavanth then expressed his wish to fight Lord Rama in a duel.Lord Rama said he would definitely fight him but not as Lord Rama.

Were these mentioned in Valmiki Ramayan!?

.

cherry- as per the topic of discussion, yes polygamy existed in that era, A king have many wives, to expand their kingdom, its more of mutual agreement, kings used to marry the daughters of that particular kingdom and to avoid the war situation this type of agreement is been made. But is it really idealist?? than the answer may differ from person to person, we have not seen that era to it difficult to judge, but what i believe is that God himself set an example by his incarnation of Lord "Shri Ramchandra", he himself shown how a person should live his life, how to follow Dharma in life, that's why "Ramcharitramanas" is termed as art of living😊

And as far as Lord Krishna is concerned, he is the "Purna Avatar" with all 16 kala. And i second to Saruja ji, all the marriages of Lord Krishna are on Spiritual level, in Vedas upasana kand there are 16100 richas for Glory of Lord, and Shri Krishna is purna avatar so all of them have to be with Krishna, and 8 queens represents the "Astadha prakriti" those who have control on them are known as Parmatama and those who are in control of them are termed as Jivatma.

And Radha- Krishna love, is a symbol of state of "Adaviat" State where Soul and Supreme soul become one, when one adopt the "Sadhana Marg" and after reaching to that state of self realization, the feeling of Advait is experienced, same thing experienced with Bhakti Marg, that's what all Gopi's and Radharani did, and you know what, these Gopi's are termed as Rishi Muni's or Treta Yuga when Shri Ramchandra born, and All the Rishi's tell him we have experienced the state of Advait but we want to experience the Love of Lord, than Shr Ramchandra promises when he will come in Davar Yuga than their wish will be fulfilled. As it is said God cannot reach everywhere that's why he created mother if mother have so much love for his child, than we can think that how Lord's love for us 😃

P.S.- Cherry people do question about Lord's doing but to all of them i just wanted to say Bin Satsang Vivek na hohi, aur Bin Guru Gyan na hohi, to understand all these we first have deep faith in Lord, and for that when we surrender our self to samarth sadguru, and i am sure we all find our answers, words of Lord Krishna is so correct " Shardhawan Labhate Gayanam"😃

3) It is said that Shri Ram promised to marry all those who wanted to be his life partners in his next incarnation(Krishna). He could't do it as Rama because he vowed to be Monogamous.

4) It is also said, Rama promised Vali to give him a chance to avenge his unjust murder. Vali was reincarnated as the hunter and archer Jara in Mahabharata (Dwapar Yug). Jara was the cause of the end of Krishnavatar (the reincarnation of Shri Rama) when he struck His feet by an arrow taking them to be a deer.

Just know referred Valmiki Ramayan.Interestingly none of the above scenes are mentioned in any of the chapters.(Please correct if I'm wrong.)

Precisely there is nothing mentioned like 'next incarnation of Rama' or 'Krishnaavatar' in the entire book of Valmiki Ramayan!

So from which source they were taken!?And what about Tulasidas Ramcharitmanas, were any of the above mentioned incidents given in Tulasidas' narration!?Anyone please clarify!

Ikshwaku,Raivatha,Dileepa,Raghu,Satyharischandra,Ambarisha,Bhagiratha,Shrutashrava,
Aja,Seeradhwaj Janaka(Sita's Father) his brother Kushadhwaj Janaka and all Janakas (Kings of Mithila),Khusa,Nala and many more from Solar Dynasty.

Nahusha,Jyamadh,Vidarbh,Dushyanth,Ugrasena,Bheeshmaka,Nanda,Balaram and many Lunar dynasty kings followed one man one wife policy.

Looks like almost 80-90% of the Kshatriyas followed this rule.Infact a ruler has to remain a role model to his subjects and the entire kingdom he rules.

I don't think to keep friendly relations with neighbour kings or to carry trade one needs to go for multiple marriages.Kings have many sons and brothers,Cousins etc.and many other relations within the royal family of a particular kingdom. All of them will be recognized as princes hence there is no need to get the same man married many times to make ties with Neighbour Kingdoms.

For Kings(Royal Families) Royalty lies in their truthfullness,Righteousness and loyalty!

I don't know about RCM but in VR,Krishnavatar or anything related to Shri Ram's next Avatar wasn't mentioned.Actually there are members who read RCM completely(in Mythological Masti Forum),they can clarify this.😊

Yes,why will Valimiki lose the oppurtunity to mention Krishna's name if he knew about this incarnation!?!?😕

The rishis were not "attracted" in the physical sense. Pleased with Rama's service to them, the rishis wanted to embrace Rama. But Rama pointed out that he was already married and could not accept anyone else's embrace (other than his father, mother, brother, etc)

Yes, according to Kamban, men too, were bound by social proprieties.

Just as it was wrong for a married woman to feel some other man's else's touch, other than immediate family members, so was it wrong for men too to touch other men/ women.

Hence Krishna accepted them in his avatar as wives.

^^^^^^ In Kamban, Lord Rama accepts Guha as his fifth brother.

These are very famous oft quoted words

En uyir anaaiyaay nee, iLaval un iLaiyaan

innannudhalavaL nin kEL

Anbu uLa, ini naam Or aivargaL uLar aanOm

" You are as dear to me as my own life and Lakshmana is your younger brother and Seetha is your kith and kin. With you we have become five brothers. "

Regarding Hanuman, I will find out. This incident I was able to quote from memory.
