if I am not wrong...Babhrubahana was son of Chitrangada not of Ulupi. & MB does not contain Iravan's mothers name. Its Vishnu Purana who says that Iravan was Ulupis son.

Haan, I know Babruvahana was CHitrangada's son.

I meant to say that Uloopi brought up her son Iravan and Chirangada's son Babruvahana. I missed out the "Chitrangada's son" part.

Yes, MB does not specifically state Iravana's mother's name, but In the Bhishma Parva when Iravan is described, it is mentioned that he is the son of Arjuna and the daughter of the King of Nagas.

But in the Adi Parva (Arjuna - Vanavasa Parva), the name Uloopi is clearly mentioned, when she introduces herself to Partha.

So we can put 2 +2 together.

I know many interpretations say differnet things but as per Vyas's MB there is not a single incident where its shown that Draupadi was unhappy with the arrangement or felt it was a punishment.I am not saying it wouldnt have been diffcult for her it would have but i dont think she was very unhappy as well.The only time she was unhappy was during the whole dice game thing but other than that she was happy with her life.Atleast Vyas's MB doenst indicate that she was unhappy.

I think it was because it was a social norm those days for women to accept their lot. Kunti did not protest when Pandu married Madri all ofva sudden, Gandhari accepted a blind husband without any fuss, AA accepted Vici quietly ( only Amba protested) , similarly Draupadi too accepted her life with 5 husbands that fate dictated for her. After all , accepting what the elders said was considered a virtue those days ! Its all a part of social conditioning.

What to say about this episode one of the best i have seen.May be becuase it is centered around 2 of my fav characters but was very good

Episode started becoming good right from karan's entry.Both Karan and Arjun had some awesome dialogues even Duryodhan in the end had some good dialogues.I have trouble deciding who was awesomer karan or arjun like always.But Karan had more awesomer dialogues in this epiosde so i would say MVP goes to Karan for this episode.Best part about Karan was that he was proud of his parents and didnt feel humiliated accepting who he was it is the soceity around him that feels that way.Although the scene were crowd asks karan to leave and his mother's reaction was OTT but Karan's acting was good.Also enjoyed the exchange between Shakuni and Arjun.Over all good episode waiting for Arjun vs Karan tomorrow.Hope its 'Kante ki takkar'

BTW where are ambika and ambalika?Did i miss something or CV's have forgotten about them?

well, about the episode, it was a good one, i liked the exchenge of words between arjun and shakuni, the dialogues of karna werw also great, but my main concern is for the story, arjun and karna will fight in the next episode, but it did not happened before virat parva i think.

so today was about Karna ..it was nice .. i liked Karna's dialogues and arjun's too .. i can somewhere understand why karna stood by duryo even after realizing duryo is not doing the right .. bcoz duryo held his hand when karna was humiliated and down .. even though for his own advantage ..

Loved today's episode. There was some fantastic dialogs that we got to hear today.
Aham was great today, portraying the hurt, vulnerable yet strong n proud 'Sootputra' Karna . Loved.
The actor playing Duryadhan is an excellent cast for his role.

Precisely!!! Had Karna gotten that battle w/ Arjun that he wanted, he'd have won - for the reasons they'll show tomorrow - his kavach & kundal. They flipped the order in which events happened - first he was crowned king of Anga by Duryodhan, and then it was discovered that he was a suta when Adiratha congratulated him.

But having crowned him after that fact was known, there are no grounds to deny the battle.

One thing I enjoyed though - seeing Drona getting insulted. Actually, I loathe Drona & Ashwatthama even more than Duryodhan in the epic.

Ya karan and ARjun only actually fight during 3 occassions first during draupadi's swyamabr(its not eaxclty a fight ) where Arjun breaks Karan's bow,then during the virat yudh and then during the MB war

As for the epsidoe as per the spoliers i have read there will be no winner becuase the competition will continue till sunset and till then there will be no winner hence the competition will end
