No, no, no, no, no!!!!!
That sort of hogwash was only there in BRC.
In fact, all the funerals happened after the war, so none of those who died got to know who Karna really was - not Duryodhan, not Drona, not anybody.
That's what stung Kunti. Yuyutsu did the funerals of all the Kauravas & their allies, while the Pandavas did that of their kinsmen & allies. Ultimately, though, Karna had still not had his funeral done. This stung Kunti deeply, and she ultimately broke down & confessed to her sons and asked them to do his last rites. This distraught Yudisthir, and hence his curse on women that they won't be able to keep secrets (wonder whether this is true 😆)
Essentially, Kunti privately told her sons everything, and they then went ahead and did the last rites for Karna. From then on, the Pandavas had only respect for him.
If one goes by Janemaya's MB, Karna had a surviving son Vrishaketu, who the Pandavas adopted as their own. He played a major role in the Ashwamedha yagna, supporting both Bhima & Arjun. Essentially, w/ Vrishaketu, reconciliation b/w Karna's family & the Pandavas was done.
In his swargarohan tour, when Yudisthir was given a tour of hell, he heard all his brothers, including Karna, begging him not to leave. He then resolved to stay there, and the devas told him that all of them had attained swargalok.
