He was like a pendulam.But not on the kaurav vs pandav thing.
He had chosen his side since gurukul days with doing what duri suggested and duri always encouraged him.Kmg says he did out of jealousy towards arjun.
I was talking about the krishna thing.
He appears to have a change of mind countless times about that, off and on the battle field.
Reminds me of duri coming to know he is a demon reincarnate and so is karna, bhishma and others.
Perhaps the frenzy change of mind comes from that battle b/w both.

that's why I was surprised. of dury and everybody knew him always then what was the drama at rangbhoomi?

it does not say when and where.. this is a crisp narration of Karna's life.. the next sentence is about he having learnt from Parasurama which happened after talent contest... from what I read in the talent contest they dint know each other before that... all students of Drona need not be classmates and thick friends..

And, O king, ever since they first saw each other, Karna always used to challenge Arjuna, and Arjuna, on his part, used to challenge him.

This should have happened when all stayed in HP for 7 years.. between HPTC and Lakshagriha

So Yudishtar was which demon incarnate? he was confident to defeat Krishna with Karna's help

and how trustworthy is Dury's illusion? why should I believe that? that illusion said Karna will kill Arjun and Dury will rule the earth.. which dint happen.. that illusion was to soothe Dury so that he lives to die in the Kurukshetra..

I dont understand this.. it clearly says after being trained by Drona Kripa and Rama he became popular.. why not before I dont know.. any idea when Arjun became popular?

I too have always wondered this. Why didn't the Pandavas crown Yudisthir as the king of the united kingdom, but make their capital Indraprastha, take Kunti there, and leave Yuyutsu, along w/ Dhritarashtra & Gandhari, Kripacharya & Sanjaya in Hastinapur?

Oh shrishti, in starbharat karna was not dronas student at all.
Which was a distortion, since no one who claims parshuram was karnas only teacher provides any citation from any translation, southern,northern, critical e.
In adi parva, it is mentioned that radhas son learnt archery with kaurva,pandava,yadu vrishni princes and duri used to encourage him to spite the pandavas esp. Arjuna.
When karna gate crashed the rangbhumi event, all knew who he was.
