Then Madhu heard a kissing sound, and the girl moaned

"Come let's go to my office" the man

They left and Madhu astonished from what she heard. She closed the door slowly trying not to make any sound when she heard the footsteps coming back fast to the office. She went under RK's disk and hid keeping her hand over her mouth trying not to breathe or make any sound when her tears started running. The door opened and Madhu's heart popped out her chest from fear. She heard a man's footsteps coming closer to her. She held her breaths. Then she saw his legs 2 feet away from her. she heard him calling her name "Madhu, and knew he was RK. She started to breathe again. He felt where she is and leaned to see her crying and so scared under his disk. He looked at her confused and concerned. He offered his hand to help her out. She followed him like a little child who was so lonely and scared and finally found his mother.

"What did happen Madhu?" RK

"The darkness..." Madhu couldn't complete her answer crying

"It is ok I'm here. Relax I'm here with you" RK consoling Madhu

"They were here" Madhu

"Who are they?" RK confused

"They" Madhu

RK couldn't understand anything from her. He could see she is in shock. She really fears darkness. He decided to take her out of the building to calm her down

"Come Madhu let's go" RK

He held her hand to help her move. But he felt her hands as cold as ice. And she was shivering from cold and fear. He took off his jacket and put it on her shoulder. Then he warped his hands around her shoulders supporting her. Walking on a long dark corridor. once they reached the middle of the corridor. He saw a cam flash flashes on them. He left Madhu leaning on the wall and moved a few meters to see who is there. In the same time. Madhu heard a man whispered in her ears saying

"Keep your mouth shut. Or else" the man

Madhu heard the whispers and felt the man's worm breath on her neck. She screamed. RK ran to her hearing her screams. When he reached her she fainted. Leaning on his chest.

"Madhu, Madhu get up" RK

He decided that it is not safe to stay here so he carried Madhu in his arms and ran to his car wondering who is trying to scare them.

He put Madhu in the car and drove far away fast. When he got far enough from the college. He parked his car and tried to wake Madhu up by sprinkling some water on her face. When she opened her eyes. She got scared and started to cry.

"Relax Madhu. Hush everything is ok. You are ok. Relax I'm here with you" RK trying to keep her calm

"He said... they were. I saw them" Madhu blabbering making no sense to RK

RK gave her water. And asked her to say nothing till she is completely calm. After few minutes, she started breathing steadily and calm down. He was about to get out of the car when she looked at him with terrified eyes

"Where are you going?" Madhu

"Don't worry I will just get something from this supermarket" RK

"Will you leave me alone?" Madhu pleading for him

"Just for a minute, don't worry. This is a crowded street. You are safe now" RK

He went to the supermarket and after two minutes he came back with some chocolates, biscuits, and juice for her

"Here, eat these. You need sugar in your blood" RK

Madhu started to eat as if she never ate before while RK was driving in silent. When the car stopped, she noticed that they didn't reach home.

"Where are we?" Madhu

"At the beach" RK

"Why?" Madhu

"I need you to tell me everything happened today" RK

"Come" RK getting out of the car

"No it is ok. I don't want to leave the car" Madhu

"Why? Anything wrong?" RK

"I feel safe here please don't go out" Madhu

Then Madhu started to tell him about what happened morning during the exam

"I was concentrating on my exam when suddenly Dr. Mehol called my name and asked me to stop writing. When I asked him, what is it? He showed me papers from my notebook. With my handwriting, and said that I was cheating. I told him I'm not but he didn't believe me and he told me to get out of the exam's hall and wait for him in his office. while I was leaving, I saw Deepali winking at me. I couldn't understand what she meant by that" Madhu

"But how did they get your notebook" RK

"I don't know. It was in my locker. But before the exam I went to the washroom and Deepali was there maybe she took it from my bag" Madhu

"Now everything is clear for me" RK

"How?" Madhu

"Deepali did this to got you expelled from college" RK

"OMG. Is there such evil people in the world" Madhu

"Yes there are and worse than this even" RK laughing at her naivety

"But why did she do that to me? She was my friend for years. How could she do this?" Madhu

"People don't need excuses to be evil they just do what they want" RK

"But still this question. Why?" Madhu

"Tell me first. Why did you brake your friendship up with her?" RK

"You told me so" Madhu trying to hide the real reason

"But you defended her then and made it clear that she is your best friend" RK

"Yes but after that I knew you were right about your judgment" Madhu

"How did you know that? What did happen between you two, to make her wants to harm you" RK

"I can't say" Madhu

"But I have to know. I am responsible for this investigation and I must know all the facts" RK

"She lied to me" Madhu

"What did she lie about?" RK

"She lied about you" Madhu

"Me? What did she say about me?" RK

"She said that you molested her" Madhu

"What? that piece of shit. It was the opposite. She tried to seduce me, but I kicked her out of my office. Then she lies accusing me of this dirty deeds! I will not leave her" RK

"That is what made me brake up with her" Madhu

"But why?" RK

"What do you mean by why?" Madhu

"She accused me not you. Why did you brake up with her? Why didn't you believe her? She was your best friend for years" RK

"But I knew she was lying" Madhu

"How did you know?" RK

"Because I know you will never do such a thing" Madhu

"How?" RK

"I trust you" Madhu

"You are trusting me over your best friend" RK

"Yes. You always treated me badly. You were always harsh on me. But I'm sure you will never ever do such a thing. I even didn't say this to anyone even my mother" Madhu

"Why didn't you say this to your mother I know you both share everything" RK

"How do you know that?" Madhu

"I noticed how close you both are when Mr. Malik was in hospital" RK

"I didn't tell my mother because she respects you so much and she likes you. And I didn't want to spoil your image in her mind with false accusations. I know it was a lie and I trust you will never do this. So what is the point to tell my mother. And she might believe this accusation and lose her respect for you" Madhu

"Thank you" RK

They stayed few minutes in silence till Madhu asked

'Aren't we going home?" Madhu

"Yes but I need to ask you one more thing" RK

"Sure ask" Madhu

"What did happen in my office that made you scared like this?" RK

Madhu started shaking and her breaths fastened. RK noticed

"Please Ms. Malik calm down. And remember what happened. I need to know while it is fresh in your memory. Please help me" RK

She told him what happened in his office but she couldn't tell him the kissing part. She was embarrassed to talk about it. While she was talking suddenly, she remembered something

"OMG" Madhu

"What?" RK

"I know who the girl was" Madhu

"Who?" RK

"When I heard her voice I felt it was familiar. But I was too scared to recognize it. But now I'm sure she was Deepali" Madhu

"What? Deepali? But what was she doing this late in college?" RK confused. Then he noticed Madhu face expression changed

"What? Do you know something? Speak Ms. Malik" RK

"I don't know how to say it" Madhu

"Just say it. I need to know all the facts" RK

"I think she is having an affair with this man" Madhu

"What did make you say that?" RK

"They were kissing in your office" Madhu blushing

"Oh... Ok. I will find out who is this man. And what were they doing in college this late. And I promise you, I will prove your innocence" RK

"Can I ask you one question?" Madhu

"I know what will you ask?" RK

"You do?" Madhu

"Yes" RK

"So why?" Madhu

"You are my best student. And you are right. You did nothing wrong. If you get expelled it will be injustice. And I can't allow that" RK

"But you hate me" Madhu

"Who did say that?" RK

"Your acts all these years" Madhu

"I never hated you. Yes, you irritated me many times. Yes, you got on my nerves many times. But I never ever hated you" RK

"So why did you treat me like this Madhu

"I wanted you to be perfect. I know you well. I know what are you capable of. I know that you can be the greatest doctor in this country. And I wanted you to be so. So, I pushed you the most. Now you are already there. You reached the goal I wanted for you. You are the best now. And you are on your final step to be a great doctor. So all I need now is to encourage you. Not to push you" RK

"Thank you for believing in me" Madhu astonished by what she heard

Madhu freaked out when RK opened the door and left the car. Then he reached her door and opened it too. She looked at him confused

"What?" Madhu

"Come out" RK

"I told you I don't want to go out" Madhu

"Just come. Trust me" RK. Then he offered her his hand. She left the car and saw RK holding a bottle of water

"What will I do with this?" Madhu pointing at the bottle

"Wash your face" RK

Madhu looked at the car mirror and screamed from what she saw. Her hair was in total miss. Her make-up spoiled completely. Her eyeliner smudged all over her face from crying. She was looking like a ghost. He controlled his laughter and poured water for her to wash her face. Then he handed her tissues to dry it. She laughed and they returned to the car. RK started the engine to get her home

"Since when did my face look like this?" Madhu

"Since afternoon" RK laughing
