one the eve of the 10th day shabd had
given to mahi, he came home late that night. he even missed his dinner. the others were starting to get up wen he reached. aaliyah grinned, "kyoun bhai jaan...aaj kal bahut kaam kar rahe ho??? late aana bhi shuru kar diya..."
shabd fell onto the couch and sighed, "kal se chutti hai aali...aaj thoda work complete karna tha..."
kripa: kal se chutti???
naina: kis khushi me beta??
shabd: you see.. maine kal apni model ko wapas le aane ka waada kiya tha... agar us waada maine nahi nibhaya toh mahi shayad muje zindagi bhar ko sue kar sakthi hai...
kripa: toh ye baat hai....achcha hua!!!
shabd: aur bhi ek achchi khabar hai...
naina: kya???
shabd: muje ek saal ka contract mila hai canada me... usse meri work poore world me famous ho jaaunga... not that i am not famous already...
naina: shut up!!! ye toh achchi baat hai... par beta 1 year??? its a bit too much...
shabd: i know...but i could come in leave in between... m thinking about it... i could be famous by another way though...i might not take up this offer...
naina sighed: u r better at taking decisions son...we leave it to you...
everyone smiled and went with their work... kripa stayed back...
kripa: shabd...haath mooh dhoke aao...tumhare liye dinner rakh deti hoon...
shabd grinned: jee bhabhi...
kripa's eyes were flaring: aur ek baar bhabhi bulaya toh tume dinner nahi doongi...
shabd: okay sister in law!!!
and he quickly ran from ther. kripa jus shook her head and smiled... in a few minutes, shabd and kripa were seated across the dining table. shabd was eating ferociously. he seemed to be very hungry...
kripa: shabd...tumse ek baat poochu?
shabd: mmm....
kripa: uska kya matlab hua???
shabd: kuch bhi nahi....bas soch raha tha ki tumhe mujse kuch kehne ya poochne ke liye, permission lene ki zaroorat kabse padi...me angad ka taange thod doonga...
kripa: woh kyoun bhala???
shabd: usne tume change kar diya... dekho kaise sawal pooch rahe hai...ye sab formalities uski aadat hai
kripa: shut up shabd!
shabd: whatever!!!
kripa: dekho...formalities ke liye sorry... muje tumse poochna tha ki....tumhe mahi se kuch hai kya???
shabd gulped: uh...??? ummm....y???
kripa: bas jawab do
shabd: kripa....i cant lie... but i duno... muje nahi patha....but i think i do love her...."
kripa was happy she got up and went around to shabd and hugged him...."ohhh....u two would make a great pair....and i know she loves you too..."...
shabd just smiled painfully...kripa went to the kitchen... shabd said in his mind..."tumhe nahi patha kripa....kitna bhi me usse pyaar karu...woh toh preet se pyaar karti hai..."

kripa was so happy wen she made her way back to her room that her sister was coming back to her and she is being loved with full heart by shabd... nothing could possibly go wrong with mahi now.... she would never be in a state as her....she opened and closed the door to their room... she was singing wholeheartedly... she dint even notice angad frowning at her from their bed...he appeared asleep to her...

angad who was frowning at her wen she entered and started singing...was now smiling quite amused at her singing in such funkiness... he really felt like taking her in his arms and swirling her around...but he exercised caution... finally kripa got onto the other end of the bed, still humming...
she seemed to be intoxicated by her happiness... unintentionally...kripa hugged the sleeping {sleeping to her} angad tightly. angad was startled by this behaviour. he expected her to let go soon but dint speak or move. but slowly, against his brain's wishes, he started liking the feeling of the hug.
kripa had fallen asleep and angad too, in the course of sleeping, hugged kripa and held her close that her head was lying on his chest. both were in that embrace till morning.
it was angad who woke up first. he was stunned to see both of them in such a position. he was even more shocked to see that it was himself who was hugging kripa closer. he wanted to lean over and kiss her forhead, but caught his senses in time. he was losing himself. he had to stay away from her...
he let go of kripa and got up...during his shower he was wondering how much at peace he felt in her embrace. he tried to get a grip. she loves prem... i cant do this... he dressed up and had breakfast and went out telling naina that he had some urgent work.
instead of driving to the office, he drove towards the sea. he had a house there. the house that faced the sea and had its own private beach where nobdy would come for miles near them. he had bought this without anybody else's knowledge, not even his parents or shabd. he had bought it as a gift for kripa for their wedding. he wanted to bring her there on the night of their marriage and spent their first night there. what all he had expected. and wat had happened.
he drove there because he wanted some time befor he had to face her again. it was painfull, knowing that your love had been so closer the last night and he couldnt love her because she loved someone else....he cried a lot.... and then went back to office wen he had made up his mind to do everything to stay away from her and make her stay away from him too. he thought of a way.... he knew wat would keep her away..
