Never any peace? - August 22!

Hi Everyone!

This is my take on the episode, not the written update so I'll be skipping out on some parts :)

Um - as you can probably tell from the title - will there seriously not be a moment of peace, a moment of happiness? I feel like ever since the show began we've seen straight depressing things. None of the lead characters have been genuinely happy for maybe more than one episode and that's really putting me off. There's four of them right now. FOUR. Why isn't at least one happy?

The CVs need to polish the story, in my opinion, and they need to do so fast. As much as I genuinely want to enjoy the show because no matter how cliched it is, I love the arranged marriage/love marriage comparisons, I really spend more time thinking to myself What the heck are they doing? The plot needs to run a bit smoother and I feel like everything is being rushed too much in order to get to the "After wedding" drama, when I'm assuming the real show will begin.

For example, in today's episode - we saw them a week away from the wedding and then immediately jumped to the day of the wedding. I would have loved to see all the in betweens to be really honest, didn't they have any kind of fun ceremonies? Any point where Anoop and Mansi saw each other that they might potentially talk something out? Same with Sahil and Shivani - we saw her saying she has a plan but then whoosh - again jumped to Anoop and Mansi's wedding day (one week away).


Regardless though, I really think the CVs need to clean up their act a bit and have a more logical progressioin with the story. As much as we get that they want to hurry to the saas-bahu drama, the audience also wants to see the characters develop and maybe actually have a smile on their face. (I'm sorry if I sound really negative but I really want to like the show and I do like aspects of it, but I think it can be so much better.)

An now, for today's episode.

Phew. Not a single positive thing in my opinion.

First off, we have Rajlakshmi chiding Anoop for having a disagreement with Mansi. When Sahil interferes, telling Anoop to assert himself, not always listen to their mother, Anoop yells at his brother for speaking so disrespectfully, and Rajlakshmi does the entire emotional blackmail. Um I don't understand how that woman doesn't see that her son is not happy. And why doesn't anyone stand up to her? Why does every single person in teh family just follow what she says? I'm trying to figure out what else is going on behind the scenes, because there has to be a reason why like Prabha doesn't say anything.

The Anoop yelling at Sahil scene didn't sit well with me - and this is where the misunderstandings are going to kick in between the two in the future I feel. They had such a good bond, that we've seen before, and I'm really hoping that it's restored very soon.

Secondly - um. Anoop? Something is off somewhere. I don't think he's completely for arranged marriages himself. He was supposed to be so calm and when he blew up at Mansi on the phone without hearing a word she was saying, and I dunno, that feels really unlike him. And I genuinely don't believe he's happy with the wedding and that maybe his mom is forcing him into it, not directly but like through the emotional blackmail or something like that. But the way he yelled at her without even listening to her, I felt so bad for the poor girl! It's not her fault that her mom chose to go and call Rajlakshmi. Sigh. I sense some very very troubling times ahead for these two.


Sahil and Shivani - not much there today except that Shivani initially protests to seeing Sahil and all his calls, but ultimately gives in. I like that they showed that :) But yeah she has a plan, which I think is the elopement plan, and like I said in another thread, I feel like Sahil and Shivani will enter the house as bride and groom at the same time as Anoop and Mansi which will result in pandemonium and chaos and all things bad. 😆

Precap: AHH! more misunderstandings. Mansi not wearing Anoop's wedding dress because it's burnt and so Anoop will get mad and I think he'll refuse to listen to her again and we're back to the beginning. Sigh..

Anywho - that's it from me today everyone! I definitely did not cover th entire episode but please do leave your thoughts and feedback! Would love to know what you're thinking about all that is happening :D

for anoop mansi i will say thaey are deliberatly trying so much of misunderstanding...i feel anoop will take out all his frustration of being yes mamma onhis wife...as it often happens when u have to say yes everywhere it the wife that actully becomes targate of frustration men get from the world.

Sahi Shivani ...yaar i didnot see that plan wali clipping today...was it their...

plus i thinkn sahil Shvani are gonna bring big drama ahead...they are not the one who will give up so easily to hitler raj laxmi...i am actully loving this rebel jodi

nice analysis naina...n i agree there is definitely more to anop which we are yet to see...i am confused as to what is in anop's mind...

Thanks for your in-depth analysis. i too was surprised at how fast the wedding is taking place.
