Here Is The Update For 20th March, 2 0 0 8, L R L Episode.
Episode begins with the usual Recaps :-
Well the Army Convoy arrives at its destination, The K M A Commando Training Centre.
The Faculty and the Cadets get out of the Trucks, Sameera is wheeled out in a stretcher by the cadets.
Abhimanyu and Gunny wander away and are wondering why the person who was supposed to receive them had not put in an appearance. His name is Slokanath Burman.
As they walk on they are greeted by a voice, and then reels off Abhimanyu's bio data, leaving out the kindergarten details, for he could not find them. The person is relaxing on a hammock.
Abhimanyu requests the person to climb down and have the nicety of have the eye to eye contact while having the talk. The man jumps of the hammock and introduce himself as Slokanath Burman, in charge of the training centre at the K M A Commando.
The cadets wheel away Sameera, while Rummy shows the right way, Akrithi taunts him with the remark that it is his Dad's Home.
Conversation then turns into that of the commando Centre and its training methods and as usual Peter has his light hearted go at Markahand, who silences him with a signal, finger at the lip.
Again on Peter's query of Markhand completing the test, training drill, Markhand says that they adapt wait and watch policy and put up a brave front, they comfort each other.
Purvi is scared that she might not live up to the standards, but Vidya in her customary style encourages Purvi, Peter has a funny face to offer. And to the questioned asked to Akrithi as whether she would be able to pass successfully, Akrithi has a downcast look.
The Major General and The Major are in a heated conversation and Major General Guar is in no mood to accede to Major Vaibhavi's request to lower the standards of the training methods as the Cadets are only into the third week of the training and it is unfair to those Cadets, is her view. Major General Guar is at his sarcastic best when he says that the cadets can go for the morning and evening jog as long as they are at the Commando Base. He has no problems with that. Else if the training is to be imparted then the Standards will not be lowered and will have to be met by the Cadets. And he turns down her request.
Major Vaibhavi has a small look, crestfallen.
Abhimanyu and Gunny are also conversing the unfairness to the recently joined cadets, with regards to the training methods and standards set, which they feel is high, not meant for the newly joined cadets. Here again they are welcomed by the voice of S Burman – not S D Burman, the great Music Director - he says that the commando training standards will show whether the cadets are weak or not, when Abhimanyu and Gunny look up, S Burman is on a high pedestal with an automatic rifle or gun in hand. As he speaks the ground is filled up.
S Burman throws a challenge and Gunny is set to accept it, he says under his breath, that he has to show Burman his place. As Gunny moves forward, the voice of Major Vaibhavi stops him and she says it is her call to take up the challenge.
She climbs the ladder to the high pedestal and Burman gives her an automatic and starts to describe the firearm, Major Vaibhavi gives out the antecedents of the firearm.
Burman then picks up a bottle and throws it up in the air, on the downward flight of the bottle Burman blasts it. He says his men get 4 out of 5 bottles in flight. So the task is that the Major has to match the score.
She gets first two, the third is thrown at an awkward angle, which the Major gets it to the full applause of the onlookers.
On the fourth bottle, the automatic does not fire, gets locked.
Down below out of the blue, Abhimanyu does some foot tapping and whistles a tune and sings, " Hum Bharath Ke Nav Jawan ….. " translated ; We The Youthful Soldiers of India …. ; this foot tapping and song is caught up by the rest, Gunny and the Cadets, it reaches the crescendo.
Final bottle is thrown and blasted by the Major's shot, much to the disbelief of Burman, and to the grand applause of the on looking people. Without looking, she hands back the Automatic Firearm, and with an amused look on her face.
Getting down She is applauded, the Major in a surprise move whistles a tune, Abhimanyu is all smiles, and so is the Major.
Around the bonfire, there is lot of bonhomie is shared and light hearted talk. When Burman arrives on a bike. Suriji remarks that talk of the devil, there he is.
And Burman says he has two tickets for some show, would any one accompany him. Gunny suggests Suriji might want to. Burman, invites Major Vaibhavi, But the Major is silent, a sign of rejection, Burman leaves with a comment that Major Vaibhavi missed something.
An orderly informs Gunny that the Major General Wants him immediately. Surprised, all look at their watch, suggesting the lateness of the hour.
Major General starts a small talk, but Gunny interrupts him whether he had any thing official to inform him.
Major General Guar hands him a green folder and tells him that the folder was lying on the Highway and that the information of their plan to trap The Eagle is being passed by someone within the K M A, and that security should be enhanced and monitored by Gunny, the responsibility is delegated to Gunny by the Major General.
First and foremost to catch the traitor within the K M A, before the trapping of the Eagle.
While this talk of the Major General is on, Gunny's gaze shifts beyond Major General Guar and to a shadow like thing or figure.
Episode Ends on Gunny's face and unblinking gaze.
