THEN it is moved to the scripting level.....so isn't the dialogue writer in a sense dependent on whatever the storywriters come up with? Or are all these ppl.....the storywriter, the screenplay writer and dialogue writer all working in conjunction together simultaneously?? It's a collaborative vision?? But then who's babies are the characters to BEGIN with?

*Edit: Also random.....I found it amusing that he was a chemistry teacher before turning to writing as a profession😆

When the WRITER also prefers a show like Uttaran.....obviously he can see what it is on screen, no?😆

@bold: We seriously need to get on to that IM session idea...too much regurgitating indeed 😆 Oh you've already blabbed about this to her over PM?😆.....You need to shareeeeeeeee the insights with the world, Fattyyyyyy......not keep them limited to Neets😆😛

Chemistry teacher...gets a thumbs up from me 👍🏼😆 Big thumbs up from me too.....but it was like one of those random details that one doesn't see coming that's why I laughed😆

I never said it was SURPRISING that he has that side to him.....I was just amused....not AT him.....but in general.....that is the story of many ppl's lives.....we make a career out of one "practical" field of study but many ppl have an artistic side to them that comes out through art and writing.

AD is the dialogue writer of Utarran too? Did you guys know this before? I'm surprised. Uttaran is such a mediocre show...specially when you compare it with LTL.

Anu...I think the original, initial characterization might be the story writer's brain child only....but the screenplay writer and dialogue writer must have the same vision about it to put 'jaan' in the story and characters. Aur actors MR jaise mil jain in ko toh char chaand lag jaatein hain in ke show main.

Aur actors MR jaise mil jain in ko toh char chaand lag jaatein hain in ke show main. THIS right there is the biggest point.....tying back to the point above.....about how important execution is.....AD has written some wonderful dialogues in this show....but it is an actor like MR who took them to another level with the WAY he said them....such genius voice modulation.....every emotion of the character portrayed so wonderfully.....if nothing else, I find it sad that AD didn't even make one mention of the CHARACTER Dutta while many posts were made on Veer from Uttaran..... Even a 100 Veers will never be enough to match up to one Dutta as far as I'm concerned. Is it that only the "#1 show" mattered enough to talk about while the other didn't since it wasn't as high in the top 10 list?

@red: This is why LTL has been the 'stepchild', I guess...like you and Ksh and others have said always, no one seemed to have believed that LTL would actually do well...and since it's not a run of the mill show, the audience that mattered with TRPs didn't respond to it initially either. Neither did the show get any awards as opposed to an Uttaran. Even when something CRAP rolls in the numbers and gets you acknowledgement/reward, you start getting attached to it and think of it as better than it actually may be...and that's only natural. AD might be closer to Uttaran because it got more popularity and recognition and thus he invested more of himself into it than LTL which didn't necessarily 'give back'...

And HOW Uttaran gets awards...that is just beyond me in every sense considering the kind of actors that play the main trio...

*sigh* LTL's greatest quality is also it's greatest setback in a sense it seems......the very fact that it's so UNIQUE....and AD is part of the team that's made it so unique.....and yet they themselves never had much faith in their product??? SUCH irony *shakes head*......What does it speak for then today that so many of us here spend hours pouring over the wonderful material we've experienced in this show.....What are WE seeing in this? Do they ever wonder?? We are surely not a run of the mill audience since this SHOW isn't run of the mill....so we are obviously not watching it for the usual lameness.....then what is it? Do they EVER wonder? I guess not.....cuz we here are the "few" that don't translate into the numbers that REALLY matter.....some of the numbers that AD himself mentioned in some of his blog entries I guess😆.....ahh what an interesting number game.

I do find it amazing though how they can write SUCH powerful stuff and not feel AS deep a connection to it.....I mean there is such a difference in the way he's written the two shows too.....like reading the beginning lines of the post about Nakku/LTL.....him mentioning how no one in his locality remembers the title of the show even though it's been on air for more than a year....that they only remember it as the Nakusha or Nakusha-Dutta show.....the irony of that.....and the way he again muses out that haunting line from the earliest promos....."Nakusha.....ajeeb nahin lagta yeh naam?"......I guess it applies overall to LTL....."ajeeb nahin lagta yeh show?" KYA hai ismein? Kuch logon ko toh kabhi nahin dikhega😆😆 Ahh I'm babbling now.

I will forever be dumbfounded by Uttaran's popularity.....don't even get me started😆

@bold: It IS quite ironic, though...And in a very strange way, what you said about Nakusha and LTL as a whole does make sense. Some people just won't be able to understand or value it (the show) because at face value, it's "unconventional", just like Naku's relationship to the society she lived in before everyone knew about her true beauty, both external and internal.
It's ultimately a benefit for the people who care enough to examine and discuss the complexities to characters like the ones in LTL that are brought to life only once in a blue moon. I'm perplexed about Anil Deshmukh's apparent detachment from LTL as well, though. Oh well. Their loss, our gain. Mostly...

I thought my tired mind was babbling incoherently but you've put it so clearly.....I was trying to say that somewhere but just musing out random lines instead😆

For both Nakku and then LTL, there is a beauty in that unconventionality that I guess takes a certain kind of understanding to truly comprehend it.....that line is so haunting though....."ajeeb nahin lagta yeh naam?".....it just stays with you.....

Nah, Anu! You nailed it perfectly through those musings! I'm surprised that what I said ended up reflecting something even remotely close to what you were trying to say.
The first thing that came to mind after reading your post was one of those "story-within-a-story" things...But I think synecdoche is probably the word I'm looking for. Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone! I'm really tired right now 😆
"Ajeeb nahi lagta naam?"
Truly something extremely haunting! I love those early promos, though...Precisely BECAUSE they were so haunting when I first randomly stumbled across them, and they're still just as haunting/mesmerizing now after having watched a lot of what Nakusha and Dutta have gone through!
Another one of the narrator's lines..."Par achanak...koi saamne aaya...Kaha: 'Main thamoonga haath usska.'"
Edit: Found the promos again!
