Hi guys,

Thanks to Neets for sharing this with me.....I think it's an interesting blog that should be checked out.....an insight into the thoughts of the wonderful dialogue writer of this show👏👏

http://anilamrit.blogspot.com/

There's one entry about Nakusha and LTL:
Nakusha.. Ajeeb Nahin Lagta Yeh Naam

People watch her. They like the show. But they don't remember the title of the show.
Many elders in my society call it as "Nakusha or Nakusha datta wala show."
Strange it is.
A title that appears on screen for more than a year...
"Laagi Tujhse Lagan"
They cannot remember it easily. But name of the character Nakusha is their on the lips.
Who gave her this name? Don't know.
Nakusha means.. (I understood it this way.) Nakusha is "Na- koshi " ?????... Unwanted.
Her grandmother called her Nakoshi.
Second girl child in a family of labourer/ maid.
How can she not be Nakoshi?
I sometimes feel like comparing Nakusha and Ichchha.
One how hisses and bites to protect herself and her husband. That's Nakusha

And the other who is to be taught to hiss at the age of 22. That's Ichchha.
Nakusha... Ajeeb nahin lagta yeh naam!
And another one about writers in TV land.....really makes you feel for the genuinely talented ones I'd say......no creative space
NO LIFE FOR A WRITER IN TV

I am a machine.

I obey.

I write.

Machines are stationary.

So I am.

Machines function efficiently.

Machines don't express emotions.

Machines can be replaced.

Production can not be stopped.

When will I be replaced?

Let me know my lifetime.

I want a peacful professional death.

Imagine.........Imagine.

Just out of the worst dream.

Well machines dont say..

You too Brutus!!!

good thing is

Brutus ke apne haath bhi bandhe hain.

vo ab kuchh nahin kar sakta.

Why am i writing this?

No life for a writer

Two of my friend posted nice comments.

One of them is a childhood friend.

He quoted Dushyant Kumar's sher.

" Jis tarah chahe bajao is sabha mein.

Hum nahin hain aadmi hum jhunjhune hain."

It was perhaps written in context with politics.

But I think its true for Tv channels also.

Few channels, few creatives and few EPS think we are JHUNJHANE...

JAB MARJI KARE JAGAO AUR BAJAO.

But Abbas adds and i completly agree with him.

"This is corporate world banbhu.
Writing or no writing,it is just the same.We all are numbers not people."

AND ITS TRUE FOR TV.

Its not about writing ..its about numbers.

And I am just a number.

Any one can come and replace me at any time and still i write.

***********

Another friend... a successfule movie writer commented:

"Writing is a NO WIN situation." Jeffery Boam (Hollywwod writer of Indiana Jones / Lethal Weapon

************

Yes ... films i have not written.

TV ... and theatre ... I have.

and theatre is the best for writer..

If one is lucky one gets Utaran and Lagi Tujh se lagan...

And even if one tries his best Swarg turns out to be nark.

No one can save a show which has no conviction of story telling..

A conviction can make Amar Akbar Anthony also a hit.

Baki toh raam hi rakhe
The BIGGEST question is...WHY did AD not write more about LTL on his blog...Uttaran is clearly his baby, but unfortunately for him, that show doesn't come across well in execution...and thus as a viewer of LTL, of the best of LTL, I crave that he would have written more about our show which for me has much more depth...sadly it isn't the case Kyunnnn AD, kyunnnn? *cue melodramatic questioning* 😆

My grouse apart, some of his blog posts have been very interesting...as you would expect from the 'artist' types 😆

Arey he atleast made a seperate post about LTL......he didn't even do that for Uttaran😆......maybe he just doesn't feel like writing more about what is in a sense his work that he has to write so much for day in and day out anyways?😆.....Having to constantly write dialogues for two Mon-Fri shows can be taxing I guess.

But yeah I found his blog posts very interesting otherwise too......😊......especially the one about writers and their plight on TV.....the few GOOD writers that is. They seem to be a dying breed in general.

Did you read all the posts on his blog, kya? Read the back pages...you'll get my grouse 😆

@red: Word...I'll just copy/paste what I said to Neets in general about this very issue...

"I bet every artist feels like that from time to time when he/she is employed and their 'creativity' has to be moulded according to the wishes of high powers 😆 MR probably felt the same way because people who are real artists, and not just flukes that ended up in the industry by mistake, probably want MATERIAL that allows them to breathe and explore...the other statues and mannequins who are in it for the money or fame or just a job for the heck of it continue being robotic and do one and the same role time and again without trying to spread their wings..."

LOL Neets and her multi-mailing....we should start our own IM chat session or something so that we can read our replies to EVERYONE simultaneously and not have to regurgitate.....lol

He's written more about Uttaran in the past??? Crap...what a WASTE😆.....lemme go read the past entries.

*Edit: OMG a 14 point longggggggggggg entry about Veer and Vansh???😲😲😆.....WHY AD?!😆......you couldn't ever analyze LTL like this?? HOW??!!

Loved the poem about TV though.....especially these lines:
TV

TV
Bahut achchha medium hai.
Television.
Aap kamaa sakte hain...
Agar ganvaa sakte hain.
Bech sakte hain
Agar bik sakte hain...
You seee! Keep reading...aur bhi BOHOT kuch Uttaran ke naam hai 😆 He definitely felt attached to the show and characters...you can see that much regardless of how it's really turned out to be on screen 😊

Yeah, the blog link was posted before...at that point, there was no mention of LTL yet in it 😆

I should have guessed his attachment level seeing as the single post he (finally) wrote about Nakusha and LTL ALSO had an instant comparison to Ichha from Uttaran😆

I'm seeing the contrast now.....he doesn't seem very attached to LTL or the characters....he speaks of how he envisioned Nakusha and I get the sense that she was almost unwanted to him too.....maybe I'm just overthinking.....hmmm

But seriously such huge entries on the characters of Uttaran....wow.....clearly he is envisioning something on paper that FAILS to show in execution onscreen cuz the show is such a torture😆

Curious random question.....how involved is a dialogue writer in the screenplay process I wonder.....it all begins with the story-writer, correct? THEN it is moved to the scripting level.....so isn't the dialogue writer in a sense dependent on whatever the storywriters come up with? Or are all these ppl.....the storywriter, the screenplay writer and dialogue writer all working in conjunction together simultaneously?? It's a collaborative vision?? But then who's babies are the characters to BEGIN with?

*Edit: Also random.....I found it amusing that he was a chemistry teacher before turning to writing as a profession😆

Which is why LTL was BLESSED with amazing actors who took good material on paper to a whole other level...only show on Colors with not only competent actors, but AMAZING ones...and this is what they choose to butcher of all things 👏...oh well, their bad 😆
