Chapter 8:

Well now that they had the contract n had even parted for it the work was about to just begun with.

It was after all not the end but the start to a tiresome process after all a concert of such volume n magnitude was being planned n if they failed it would be obviously a disaster no doubt but would ruin the image of the Khanna' who name was at stake & was the reason a new company sought such a big deal in it's first venture itself.

Now Dhruv n chandni were not at all on the best of terms to begin with accounting to their first disastrous n unexpected encounter topped with the work pressure, wow what a start.

Dhruv n chandni would work together for the project however in their individual ways. Each n everyday Dhruv would hear stories about how terrified the staff was of chandni as she was a no nonsense person, no laughs, no jokes, no fooling around when she' around, it was all work n no play.

While Dhruv on the other hand was a pleasure to work with, the staff loved him if chandni was a nightmare; Dhruv was a dream come true.

He would never ever fire anyone, was always laughing himself n helpful approachable n rage among especially the girls in the staff.

No doubt he was already well known among the staff but working now with them he became a rage. He was such a hit among the women that they were willing to work overtime with no payments as well.

Charming, good-looking, with a great sense of humor & rich, boy he was not only
a dream- man but a dream boss.

Chandni used to so get pissed off when she used to see he was only giggling with his team n not work, while chandni' ways seem to have rubbed off on her team who were damn jealous they lost out on Dhruv.

She even complained to Rishabh once that Dhruv is not doing his job seriously n this may cost them pretty but was in for a surprise when Rishabh found out that his work was going as planned n in fact Dhruv was leading n she n her team were lagging behind.

This seemed to have made chandni all the more furious now her nickname Hitler was not only limited to Dhruv she was Hitler reincarnated to her staff as well specially her team.

Late nights, double duty, work overload name it n u got it whatever fears you can have about your worst boss chandni was making her team live thru them.

N the thing causing her to piss off was no matter what she did or tried Dhruv would always be the first to finish his work.

Chapter 9:

As already stated in the previous part Dhruv n chandni were working with a group of 2 teams who they choose themselves for the concert. Also how well they were received by the staff.

When Dhruv came he was called prince n chandni' arrival meant Hitler' descent itself from hell.

Chandni was so miffed that whenever she looked she found Dhruv talking to some girl or the other in the staff n the other staring at him n day dreaming. She would give an earful to anyone who was caught by her while doing so.

People couldn't understand what her problem was, nor did she like Dhruv neither the fact that any gal talks with him.

But he was only too popular for the matter & the biggest reason why he was such a hit among the women was not only for the obvious reasons (looks, money n sense of humor) was the fact that no matter what even if you are wrong he would never yell at you, Dhruv was always a gentleman with the ladies he would always talk nicely, laugh around causing cheerfulness n even if wrong make you understand rather than yell or get you to cry.

Well thou not as popular with the guys (who envied him, as he took all the attention) they liked him too for the boss he was.

The concert day was nearing amidst all these n preparations were on in full scale.

Dhruv n chandni visited the site for inspection of work regularly the stage was about built n the publicity campaigns were already on in full swing for it.

One such day while the inspection was on Dhruv was checking out the sound systems asking for some music to be played while chandni looked at the other stuff.

As instructed by Dhruv the music incharge played a song on the system he found a CD of Jab We Met the closest n played the song Mauja Mauja, which Dhruv seemed to like a lot.

He was dancing a bit while he heard it n started tapping his feet n was even mouthing some lines when chandni saw him. She felt it' such an inappropriate way to behave like this especially since he's the boss.

While watching him she walked n accidentally tripped over a wire n fell on the ground injuring her.

Dhruv n everyone else rushed up to her immediately to help her. They got her to sit somehow yet she was in great pain as her kneecap was bleeding n she was hurt.
Dhruv took her to a doctor after which he drove her back to her home.

While on the way home she was in pain too as her kneecap was injured by a rock, seeing her in pain he offered her help to get up to her home on the staircase.

It was bad enough she didn't talk on the way but now instead of thanking him she called him responsible for her fall.

D (opening the car door for her): let me help you here

C (angrily): no thanks I can help myself

D: suits you

C: what do u mean by that? 1 toh main tumhari wajah se gir gayi aur tum aise behave kar rahe ho u shd be apologizing to me

D: WHAT????? Me apologize for what? How m I at fault for Ur fall? U fell down urself I didn't push you down ok.

C: I know you didn't push me par phir bhi main tumhari wajah se giri

D: huh chandni mujhe lagta hai itna kam karke tum paagal ho gayi ho

C: paagal main nahi tum ho is tarah dance karta hai koi boss

D: huh dance karne aur boss hone main kya link hai aur waise mera dance tumhe kaise gira sakta hai I wasn't dancing on Ur head alright.

She started walking towards the building to get in the lift he tried helping her however she wouldn't budge.

Making a face he left thinking what a dope head.

Next Chapter: The Big Concert.
