You are right that Pragya's responses put constraints on Abhi. Nonetheless I believe Abhi still had the choice to act as an objectively moral and responsible person. She told him she didn't want an answer - but it would have been more mature of him to be honest with her that he didn't know his own mind and couldn't give her an answer. Playing hide and seek and then overreacting (at the Welcome Back party, at Purab's place) were immature. You can argue that Abhi is not moral and not mature and you would be valid to do so. I still think his lack of better choices deserves critique. Just because Pragya doesn't expect more from him doesn't mean I don't. At the end of the day he is what he is within the limitations of the story, but my own standards come to bear on whether I admire or approve of him or not.
