Ooo, MMM! Nice dare!! I was like what kind of dare if Abhi is helping her... But exactly the kind of dare needed. Honestly I was a bit worried about hot oil when he was so close even kissing her nape. But risky risque stuff. Thank you and looking forward to Diahh's part now. Two more days!!

Chapter 14

"I will be back Rachcho!"

Pragya almost ran out of the room as Abhi entered the room.

The amused look on his face and that smirk did nothing to calm her senses.

She knew by experience of running away from him or rather trying to run away from him, that he would be after her soon again.

One day! Just one more day Pragya!

So involved was she in her own world that Pagya didn't realize it till she bumped in to Aaliyah.

"Ouch! Can't you see where you are going!"

"Oh sorry Aaliyah! I didn't see you!"

Pragya muttered as she began to climb the stairs.

"Ya! I can see that!"

Pragya halted hearing her tone.

"What?"

She asked confused.

"I can see you don't see anything! If you have seen you won't be here anymore!"

"What do you mean?"

"Oh my dear Bhabhi, now please don't try to act innocent with me. I am not Daadi! I know who you are!"

Pragya flinched hearing her.

"After all this that happened you are still here! Why? Earlier it was for your Ma and for Daadi. But now why are you still here? They know the truth now! They gave you the chance to make a decision. And you decided to stay? Why?"

"I am staying because he asked me to stay here!"

"Oh please! You know Bhai! He is just guilty for whatever he thinks he did to you! Nothing else. Why are you doing this to him! He saved you and brought you back from the kidnappers, he saved your marriage hall, he saved your Ma's life! After all that, this is how you repay him? By holding him back from having a good life with someone who deserves him, with someone of his choice?"

Pragya stared at Aaliyah unable to utter a word as Aaliyah went on to voice her worst fears.

Somehow hearing it from her made it all the more real and suddenly Pragya wanted nothing but to flee the place.

Turning on her heel, she ran to her room.

Of course Aaliyah is right! What was I thinking!

But then what about that kiss? My first kiss! Our first kiss.

Pragya blushed recalling it and then suddenly recalled him saying sorry.

Of course she has been such a fool.

He is doing all this because he is guilty! Not because... Well, not because he love her or anything.

"Fuggy! Anjana is too long! We have to find a pet name for her!"

Pragya heard him saying as he entered the room.

"Fuggy?"

The surprise in his voice was expected but she has to do this. She has to do this for him!

She looked at him and managed to smile but continued to pack her 'chatris' as he calls them, neatly in her suitcase.

"Fuggy what are you doing?"

"Packing?"

"Not funny Fuggy! I am asking why you are packing?"

He said annoyed.

"Because this is the correct thing to do! Its the time to end all this. I am leaving!"

"Fuggy! You can't go!"

She pretended to ignore him and the obvious hurt behind his voice as she folded her blue chatri.

"Fuggy! I am talking to you!"

"Why?"

"Huh?"

"Why can't I go?

"What do you mean?"

"Abhishek now nothing is holding us back. Everybody knows. No more secrets. No more lies. It's time for a fresh start!"

"Fuggy just one day more..."

"Then one more day... Then another day... For how long Abhishek?"

"Fuggy last 6 days... I thought it meant something for you! I thought you were having a good time!"

Pragya stared at him.

Abhishek how do I tell you that past week is the best week of my life?

She recollected all their memories together. Cooking together... Talking about a future they are never destined to share... Naming Anjana... Him teasing her... Dancing with him in the party... Truth or dare...

Their kiss...

As tears threatened to spill out of her eyes, Pragya turned away from him back to folding her cloths.

"I did have a good time Abhishek! But this is different. This is about rest of our lives! You never wanted such a life Abhishek. This is your chance. This is what you always wanted. You never got what you wanted. But now Daadi knows. And she has given me the permission to make my own decision."

"And this is your decision?"

He asked bewildered.

"Yes!"

"Pragya is this really what you want?"

The intensity of his eyes was too much for her and she averted her eyes as she answered him.

"Yes!"

No! Her heart wanted to scream. But no more false hopes Pragya. Accept the truth.

Don't trap him in this loveless marriage just because you love him. He deserves happiness. He will never be happy with you. With all that he has done for you, you owe him this much.

Determined, Pragya closed her suitcase shut.

I know this is short, I was stuck! Hope I haven't ruined it for anyone! 😳

Part 15

As Pragya snapped the suitcase shut, Abhi felt as if she had broken all of his dreams in one blow, this was not what he had wanted. These seven days were meant for him to express his love for her and to get her to pour out her feelings for him, not for her to leave before he had even gotten the chance.

But he had hadn't he?

All these opportunities he had missed to tell her exactly how he felt, after their first kiss, at the dance, in the kitchen, but no, he hadn't uttered word. So why did he expect her to love him, love someone who had given her so much pain. He should have replaced those memories with something she could cherish with him, this wasn't it. She couldn't leave.

But why couldn't she?

Why was he assuming she loved him?

She hadn't really expressed her feelings properly, but for some reason he didn't want his heart to believe that she didn't because she did love him. That was what her eyes said every time she looked at him. If she did not love him then he wanted answers.

Pragya was about to exit from the door when he gently held her hand, pressing her to the wall. She dropped the suitcase in the sudden motion. Abhi saw a tear well up in her eyes and he gently wiped it away with his finger. He then tucked her flowing hair behind her ear and made her look at him. He could feel her heart beat against him, he needed to find out if it did beat for him like, just like his did for her.

"Why?" He whispered.

"Why - why what?" Pragya stuttered.

"Why do you want to leave?"

"I - I just told you, we can't leave in this nameless relationship anymore, we need to move on, you're happiness is in this, so is mine."

"When did I say to you I wanted a life without you, when?"

Pragya thought for a moment, he was right. But then Aliya's words echoed again.

"You didn't say that but that's what you mean, after - after that night"

"Which night?" Abhi asked her moving closer.

Pragya could feel her legs going weak with him so close, with great difficulty she managed to pull her emotions together. She so wanted to break this little gap between them, but she couldn't

"That night, the night when you - we - I mean" Pragya didn't know how to explain, she mimed the action of her lips being on his.

Abhi remembered. "When you kissed me?" Abhi emphasized the word.

"Exactly, you didn't want it, I'm sorry I know it shouldn't have happened which is why I am telling you to let me leave, please?"

"Fuggy!" Abhi moved back. "See this is exactly you're problem, why are you jumping to conclusion, did I ever say I regretted anything that happened then?" Abhi asked her but she didn't say anything. "Did I?" Abhi again pressed himself against her, with his arms on the walls so that she couldn't escape.

"No" Pragya looked down with tears.

"Fuggy, I don't know how to explain it, I do not in any way regret anything that happened, words can't describe how much I need you, I love you fuggy I really do" Abhi confessed looking at her with longing eyes.

Pragya looked up at him bewildered by those final words.

He loved her?
