Part C:Mayhem & Circus
Anshuman comes forward picks up Pragya gives her a big tight bear hug , twirling her around before putting her down.
All were very surprised seeing this and more surprised to hear Pragya laughing with joy, a sound that was never heard by the Mehra's at all ever and a sound that the Arora's so missed hearing from her since the time of all those bad proposals and relationships.
Anshuman because of this simple feat, had just risen in esteem with respect in heart of the whole Arora family and seeing this dadi was more saddened that such a beautiful sound was never heard here because of her grand kids doings.
She felt shameful for their treatment and looked at the Arora women with plea of forgiveness in her eyes, RSD put her hands on dadis hands and gripped it tight, passing on the message that she did not need to ask for forgiveness for what she was not responsible for.
What the Hell!!!, how dare this man hold Pragya so, he was all ready to snatch Pragya from the man's arms, and introduce him to his fist, when he heard the most beautiful sound ever. The sound of inhibited joyful laughter.
In front of his eyes, Fuggy changed, it was like a wilted Rose had just bloomed again and was shinning in all its glory.
He was brought out of his trance by Tanus death like grip on his arm with the words: "Just look at her shameful behaviour". Tanu was burning with jealousy to see this handsome man hugging and was that a kiss he just gave Pragya the bhenji on her cheeks.
On hearing Tanu's words he got angry, shameful and Pragya, no shameful were they.
Tanu getting him to agree to marry Pragya to fulfill his sister's need for revenge and getting her one year breather to pursue her career. Shameful were they that they unknowingly tortured her and humiliated her at every turn. Shameful were they that the first gift he gave his wife on her wedding night was leaving her with a lie and going to Tanu and to top it off insulting her. Shameful were they that they carried on as they were all because she let them, not blurting out the truth to his dadi or her family. Shameful again as emotional blackmails and lies were needed to get him to marry her.
Abhi for the first time truly realised the gravity of all his wrong doings and even now, she had some how as promised gotten his dadi and her family to agree to his and Tanu's marriage were as he was again ready to hide and tell lies to all to get his way.
Pragya herself was shocked and surprised to hear unhibited laughter form herself, and realised just how much she had changed in the last few years, and instinctively hugged back Anusham by hiding her head between his neck and shoulders to hide her tears.
Anushuman, noticed the change in her and whispered back "Hey"
Pragya just whispered back, "Later".
They both were completely oblivious to the people around them staring and the different reaction their greetings had caused in them.
Aliyah just couldn't believe bhenji's luck. A man she had crushed on when in business school was standing right in their foyer hugging bhenji.
Tanu's parents were too shocked to see Mr. Anshuman Rathore right here and hugging who seemed to be Abhi's soon to be ex-wife, Pragya. The elusive man himself they had been after to do business with since a few years, who never gave them the time of his day, was right here in Abhi's house hugging his wife. Both thinking why could Tanu their daughter not hook such a man.
Abhi was brought out of his melancholy thoughts by Indu dassi loudly saying to them "Huggy Shuggy baad mein kar leina, cholo phele sab say mein tum ko milati hoon Anshuman, phir tum dono hum sab ko yeah batana kay tum ek dosere ko kaise jaan the ho?"
[You both can hug shug later, first let me introduce you, Anshuman to everyone, and then you can tell us all how do you know each other]
Abhi too moved towards them, as that was one burning question he wanted answered too, "How did they know each other?"
He noticed the way Anshuman took hold of Fuggy's hand and Fuggy not pulling it from his grip as she does when ever he held her hand just for show; but then this was not a show and he was the man who made her laugh out loud, he was the man she allowed to hug and hugged back, tightly.
The only time Fuggy hugged him was when she wanted me to stop her wedding with Suresh, begging me to not let that happen and the other was the same day, after he stopped the wedding. Other then those times she never hugged him and he never ever hugged her voluntarily ever. Then why did he feel a sense of loss. Why?
The question he wanted an answer to, was brilliantly deflected by Aushman, by him telling, "Woh saab baad mein, looks like mein neh app saab logo ko disturb kiya yehain aah kar is waqat!?"
[All that later, looks like I have disturbed you all, by coming at an inappropriate time]
"Nahi beta, you are family, so no such talk" said dadi.
[No Son]
"Dadi I need to freshen up, can I be shown the washroom, then Lohri pooja too" said Anshuman.
"Yes, follow me its this way" said Akash.
Anshuman makes his excuses and leaves following Akash.
As soon as Anshuman left, Arora family also got ready to go home.
Abhi got up to saying "RSD, Sarla maa, chaliya mein app logo ko chor deta hoon"
[RSD, Sarla mom, lets go I will drop you all off]
"Nahi uski koi zaroorat nahi, hum sab khud chale jain gay" said RSD getting up.
[No need of that, we will go ourselves]
"Lekin bhout raat ho chuki hai" said Abhi
[But its very late]
"Nahi beta, app ko fikar kar nay ki koi zaroorat nahi" said Sarla
[No son, you don't need to worry about us]
Dadi who was keeping her annoyance and feeling in check...bluted out "Tum ko kab say fikar honey lagi, hamesha to driver chor kay atta hain in ko"
[From when did you start worrying, every time the driver drops them]
Purab sees that the situation may well get out of hand, gets up interupting dadi " Driver kyu, mein hoon nah, mein in saab ko chor dungha. Mein app log ka beta hoon kay nahi"
[Why the driver, I am here, I will drop everyone. Am I your son or not]
Thus the whole Arora family take their leave, hoping in their hearts that all ends well for their Pragya.
Once they leave, " Abhi bhoot raat ho chuki hai, tum Tanu aur uski family ko choor awao, Aliyah tum bhi saat mein jao" said dadi with a sacrrine sweet smile.
[Abhi its very late, why don't you go and drop Tanu and her family, Aliyah you go with him too]
"Mein kiyu?" asked Aliyah "Bhai tu hamesha Tanu ko akela hi chorne jate hai!" blurting out this in her annoyance.
[Why me? Bro always goes to drop Tanu alone!]
Indu dassi jumps in handling the situation before it all got out of hand and says, "Itne raat hoon jayegi and Abhi dubara koi accident nah kar ley uske liya didi cha rahi hai kay tum bhi Abhi kay saath jao"
[Its will be very late and sis is worried that Abhi doesnot get into an other accident thus she wants you to go with him]
Abhi got the feeling dadi was annoyed with him, and why wouldn't she be, though not as annoyed or angry as he expected.
He even noticed that the whole Arora family did not even greet him once when leaving as they always do.
He so needed to talk to Fuggy once he got back to know all that happened, how she got her and his family to agree to his and Tanu's relationship and marriage.
Tanu's parents got up and they too took their leave, as they too were very tired after their flight and coming over directly. Thinking to themselves that Pragya could help them with meeting Anshuman. Yes...Abhi would help with that. Will talk to him on the way home about that.
Anshuman entered to see nearly every one had left once he came back from doing pooja/ prays.
"Saab chale gaye?" he asked
[All gone?]
"So now tell me Indu dadi , why did you call me and whats the emergency?" he asked, once he sits down again.
"Yahan nahin, tum sab chalo mere saath room mein, wahan batati hoon" Indu dassi says getting up.
[Not here, all of you come with me to my room we will talk there]
"Ramu, inka saman guest room mein rakwa lo"
[Ramu, put his stuff in the guest room]
All get up and follow her and once in the room all is explained to him...and what part he has to play...
Anshuman takes all this in and Pragya too...as the plan has completely changed and she gets no say in it.
Anshuman then looks at Pragya and says, "We need to talk and I agree with them completely"
Thus they both take their leave to talk in private.
Robin knocks and enters the room and tells dadi "Kaam ho gaya"
[The work is done]
All three dadi and dassis smiling, as they did not reveal all their plan.
