Chapter 4:
"Okay, is everything ready?" Aditi asked Robin. Robin nodded. This was their first task of being the cupids and no way she wanted anything to be less than perfect. When suddenly someone tickled her from behind. "Oh my Gosh! Stop! Please stop!"
"Okay." Jay said as he pulled his hands back. "You look great. I like this version better." Aditi was wearing a very pretty light blue anarkali.
"Well don't get used to it" Aditi replied. "I'll change after sometime. You don't look bad yourself. Wait. Have you met mom?"
"Not officially." Jay replied.
"Come on then." Aditi said as she pulled Jay. Pragya was standing with Daadi. She was wearing a purple sari. Good Aditi thought, the colour matches. "MOM!"
"Aditi." Pragya smiled.
"Aditi? How are you bringing Jay?" Daadi asked.
"He likes it Daadi." Aditi explained. "Mom, my boyfriend Jay. Jay, my mom Mom. You two bond, I have to check on Dad" Pragya smiled at Aditi.
"Namaste Aunty." Jay said. Pragya smiled at him.
"Namaste." Pragya replied. Jay seemed to be be a very nice guy. "So how long have you two
known each other?"
"We're childhood friends." Jay told her. "We were five when we became friends."
"Haan." Daadi said. "Why else do you think Abhi let Aditi have a boyfriend?" Pragya couldn't help but chuckle at that statement.
"Yup, he is one over protective Dad." Jay explained. "I still remember 'The Talk that he gave me. Had nightmares for weeks."
"Relax." Pragya said. "Abhi talks like he would burn down this world if he's mad at you but in reality he doesn't show that. If he talks about throwing you off a mountain, in actions it would be equal to throwing you on the bed."
"You sure do know Dad." Arjun said coming from behind. This statement made Pragya blush and Jay and Arjun winked at each other.
"So what did Aditi see in you?" Arjun asked. "You cannot impress her easily."
"No, not at all." Jay said. "I had to sing to her like hundred songs before she even thought of liking me." Everyone laughed at his statement. Just like Abhi, Pragya thought. It requires lots of planning to actually impress him greatly.

"Dad. Look." Aditi said pointing at Pragya. "Come stand with her."
"No, Aditi it's fine." Abhi replied.
"How is it fine?" Aditi asked. "She's standing all alone. Go talk to her... get to know her. How will you get to know her from here?"
"Dad, Aditi is right." Arjun said coming to them. Abhi remembered their engagement day when Daadi had made him stand with Pragya and talk to him. Aditi pulled him and made him stand with Pragya. She and the others heard and watched from the back.
"Pari likhi ho?" Abhi said as in a joke. (Educated?)
"Jee?" Pragya replied realizing what he was doing.
"Pari likhi ho?" Abhi asked again smiling. (Educated?)
"Jee. Graduation in Literature. Double masters in literature and philosophy and then..." Pragya said repeating her dialogues.
"Itna kafi hai." Abhi said. (That's enough)
"Okay." Pragya replied. Both Abhi and Pragya started to laugh while they others just awed looking at them.

"Okay." Aditi said stressing on the word WILL. "Now, Mom and Dad WILL dance together. While Arjun and I will do a live perfomance."
Arjun: Unforgettable, That's what you are.
Aditi: Unforgettable, Tho' near or far
"Care for a dance?" Abhi asked giving Pragya his hand. Pragya slowly took the hand. Together they along with other couples began to slow dance.
Arjun: Like a song of love that clings to me, How the thought of you does things to me. Never before has some one before, Has some one been more...
Aditi: Unforgettable, In every way, And forever more, That's how you'll stay.
Abhi slowly twirled Pragya around and brought her close to him. They were inches apart and were enjoying the company of each other. After eighteen years they had danced again. After eighteen years they had held each other so close. Not even for a second did they look away. Both of them lost in the depths of eye other, trying to count the amount of love the other had.
Arjun: That's why darling, it's incredible, that someone so unforgettable, thinks that I am, Unforgettable too.
Aditi: Unforgettable, In every way, And forever more, That's how you'll stay.
Both of them twirled around and came back to original position. They slowly walked back and forward. Jay was busy dancing with Daadi. He had to admit, Daadi was one good dancer and not to mention she was gorgeous.
Both: That's why darling, it's incredible, that someone so unforgettable, thinks that I am, Unforgettable too.
With that the song came to and end and so did the little trance Abhi and Pragya were in. They looked at each other one last time and they moved away. They had shared such a perfect moment that both of them were depressed at the thought that this had come to an end. They couldn't help but smile at how perfect they had been together even after eighteen years of separation.
