Abhi will do all that is mean and uncomfortable to Pragya and Pragya will tolerate all
that is meted out to her.

So when the MU is cleared then the ball is going to be in Pragya's court and Abhi will be the one with all the guilt and look for forgiveness from Pragya.

This dance has been done before by many mismatched couples that are forced into marriage for reasons beyond their control.

And we will never see a woman that will stand up for her self respect and self esteem and never see her teach her so called husband a lesson in not to treat women that can be toyed with for their so called ego and MU.

This story is not going to be any different than all the ones we have seen before.

If the TRP's go up with this MU track then it will be prolonged for some time and if it does not then we will see it end with both realizing that ... "Ahh !! we are in love after all"...

Good point Dolly. But I am like happy that Pragya's tear glands are not over working like some other lead girls who spend all the 21 minutes of screen time crying. I love her DO NOT MESS WITH ME stare from behind her specs. ..though Abhi is not that scared...still manages to hold his tongue atleast when he tries to call her Bi**h

I think Pragya doesn't let herself feel anything about her marriage. I mean, she just experienced two big heartbreaks. She isn't about to put her heart on the line again so soon.
Anyways, Pragya has simple needs and can survive the marriage is there is a little kindness (not the best scenario but do-able). All the poor girl wants is some love and kindness. Looking forward to that day when she gets both in her life (fingers crossed)😳

I think Pragya wanted to be in this marriage for the sake of her mother n protecting her sister. So she is tolerating all the crap. I don't think she wants to be a dutiful wife as first step to that is being truthful to her husband which she is not. All the things she had done for Abhi are helps when some one in trouble as. Per her nature she wants to keep everyone happy around her. So now Abhi is the first person around her so how can she see him suffering.

The way i see it is in hindsight..

Pragya has had numerous rejections, two broken rishtas and now this joke of a marriage. If this marriage breaks, she will have the tag of a divorcee as well. Thats too much for a girl with 'average looks' she cant expect to charm her way into a marriage with another guy. As it is, guys approach her with so many conditions, point being ownership of the marriage hall in the very first epi for marriage. So i kind of understand her urgency to continue with this crap marriage.
Second, it is in her interest to let the MU continue, despite it having a shallow premise. Mom's health, taaney from neighbours that pragya isnt able to get married at all, if she does.. they break as well and of course save her younger sister from the wrath of the bro-sis duo. Now people may see this a mahaanta or the making of doormat or whateverbut pragya being the practical sister approaches this marriage with the determination of making it work for her, a girl who has had the worst experience with marriages is totally practical to me. She herself said she doesnt expect anything from this marriage, thats why she at the moment doesnt object to abhi's extra marital affair with his mistress
for one to object, one has to start caring. Pragya at the moment is more concerned about her family than herself.
Thats her character. If people see that as mahaan fine. I have no issues. It isnt for anything that we see rich families pay crores to salvage their reputation in the face of numerous scandals. Yet, this isnt seen as mahaanta.

i think the reason is pretty obvi.. pragya has accepted that this is her life now..and she cant go back to her fam because theyll be shattered otherwise.
as per her kind behaviour towards abhi, i think its just reflective of her nature which abhi will soon be aware of . :)

I applaud u for this post flutterby 👏. I feel all this may have gone through Pragya's head. I actually find her character quite realistic.

The aankhon aankhon mein was for our benefit 😉 someone mentioned there was a smile on Abhi's face, re-watched it but could catch no glimmer of a smile there. And Agree, I don't expect the MU to be cleared up this quickly as there would be no drama then. If she had told him the truth as she wanted to that very first day before being rudely interrupted by Aliya, she would have been divorced and sent home to pine after Suresh by now. 😆

Edabella... Is this a jodi name for that twilight couple? 😆

We see so many instances... Honor killings, female foeticide, dowry deaths. All of these are terrible effects of 'saving one's honor' 'maintaining one's status in society' so if Pragya chooses to remain silent for her marriage, it may be morally wrong, but it is practically correct, since she has had a terrible terrible experience with marriages. This is shrouded in the garb of doormat and dismissed as mahaanta.

And this is how her character was sketched out. If people expect more from her; they should be ready for dissapointment. Even i expected something more from Pragya, but now i see thats too much to expect. And the way i see it, some characters have to be dumbed down, made to do moronic things in order for the story to continue. If everybody should be smart, clever all the time, and that too in never ending hindi serials, tracks would be over before they even start.

I agree flutterby. Ekta's serials last even longer than other serials on Zee. "Pavitra Rishta" is a perfect example of one of her never ending serials. I haven't hought much about my expectaions of anyone on KB but I just hope noone gets butchered on this show & that Abhya & Surul don't end up being nauseating.

BTW, my username is a jodi name for the Twilight couple, Edward & Bella 😊. When I started posting on India Forums, the Twilight series was airing in theaters & I shipped Bella w/Edward.

There was no smile on Abhi's face. But a sure acknowledgement, when mommy in law told him Pragya made the coffee. And then he did take the mug from her to drink it. There was a little smile on Pragya's face- which is what bothered me.

I get it that the premise has to have these two together some how so that the story continues etc. But my issue is- if Pragya is nice to him, he will be in advantage. One, he will fall for her, two, she will become answerable to him.

I love Abhi the most among all these characters, but I want him to pay big time for the wedding night. He might have done it under the MU, but still what Pragya had to face- Oh Dear, I can't get over that.

So, if Pragya has this soft corner for him, then he will totally use it to turn the tables and say, you too hid the truth from me dear? It will make his guilt and suffering a bit less.

That's one of the reasons why I don't want him to get this feel that Pragya is there for him.
