Aditya sat with his friends waiting for nidhi …..He saw his friends fidgeting in their seat like nervous wreck , it is when she entered with such quietness …he felt the first shudder through him blowing all his calmness ……
" Where is he …..?" she came straight to the point …..
He glared at her …" what is with you …..?" he raged
" Where is he …..?" she pressed on same question stubbornly even though she felt so hollow and aghast…..
" dead …..We …. killed him …." He spat his words turning away from her ….
" he is not …." She mumbled with same quietness

He could not sleep nor eat ….he felt so sick that he puked whole night when he reached back home….he wondered how can Aditya stay so calm and untouched by all this ……what kind of person is he ? he did not looked like human when nidhi blurted those words ….he felt so let down , so bad when he came to know about Aditya's past and his awful secrets …..and now , he cannot join his hands in his another wrong doing….that guy is stupid , plain crazy …and totally out of control ….

His legs stopped when he reached police station, there was minute of hesitancy " if Aditya come to know …he is going to fry me alive …" but it stayed just for a second and everything blown away as he entered police station and went straight to constable who is filling down forms of complaint ….

, jerking his head up Aditya checked whether Nidhi came in ….…A rage escaped his lips as Nidhi's words jumbled in his wrecked mind He is not stupid to let Nidhi get away so easily with his secrets at least not now when everything is going against him.
he thought how things are going out of control and he left with no choice but to get rid of everything which is putting him in danger……what if it is danger is his sister, he will get rid of her too… thinking all this , he smiled as his right hand brushed over the bulge in his side pocket…
But first he has to make her understand, make her change her mind……he has to make her shut her mouth because he cannot mess around at least now not when police are behind him with suspicious eyes……
He looked up to find Nidhi coming with same quietness, shifting his gaze towards his friends he nodded his head and asked them leave the place …..Nidhi swallowed the sick, sour fear that threatened to engulf her something in his gaze told her that things are bit eerie; clutching her trembling fingers she looked up. Once his friends left them alone, nidhi asked "where is he ….?"
He smirked "I thought you are different from your sister ……"
Closing her eyes tight shut, she breathed in "you are just like her …..Stupid and stubborn ….first you messed up by going out with him and then now you are messing up again …" he glared
She knows it is his pride which is talking, which expect everyone to live their life as he asked them to live …When she did not responded he continued "you are the reason for whatever happened …..Don't you see this wouldn't have happened if you haven't gone out with him "

When he did not respond, she turned away from him ….." Fine …..I will go find him and I make sure ……you will pay for this " she glared at him , she does not know from where it is coming …all this aggression , this sudden rage to make things right ….which she could not do…should have done. long back.
"You want to know where he is …..You better hurry else water is going to wash him away ….and you don't even get to see him, he will be missing ….just invisible" He smirked …..
Everything stopped stand still as she heard her brother's voice , …" water is going to wash him away" ..did he just said that ….As she stood thinking where Ashuthosh must be as realization crept inside her……like flicker of truth it caught inside her mind without wasting another minute …..she turned away from her brother as her legs moved faster towards water shore …where they must have kept him …..it was just for second then everything changed , her vision blurred ….her surrounding thickened and something swallowed…consumed her mercilessly..Even before she know what is happening...she is falling, down down down ..into vast darkness .
Nidhi pulled opened her eyes, her body yawned with pain and standing at the foot of her bed is a man with a white coat and stethoscope around his neck….her right jaw is bandaged and shreds of needles pierced into her …" where am I ..?" her voice sounded hollow to her own ears, she looked around and it is obvious …she is in hospital, someone yelling about IV and faces floating above her and then blackness…..
"You are in KGH hospital……do you remember anything?" Asked the doctor, he must be doctor she thought
The Iv tube is attached to her arm," what is in there?" she asked abruptly
"Some pain killer and antibiotics ……..you were hurt and in pain from past couple of days …" a headache washed over her making her giddy with exhaustion…
" your wound was pretty much major and by the time they bought you here ,you already lost so much of blood ……you are lucky, that they bought you on time ……you are doing fine now, even your injured jaw is healing…"he smiled at her ……
He flipped opened his clip board and scribbled something ….she looked outside , trying to remember what made her end up in hospital but the more she thought her exhausted brain did not supported ……" police are waiting to take your statement ….." he stated looking at her ….." let me know when you are ready to talk …..ok" and he smiled at her ….
As soon those words were out, realization crawled inside her with flashes of truth and memories of past days ……" Go and save him soon , otherwise water is going to wash him away and you will not get to see him ever again ….he will be missing …just invisible" those words jumbled up in her mind , haunting her already broken heart ……
Where is she? and what happened to her …did she failed this time too ….? Failed to save someone she loved ……a sob erupted in her along with uncanny rage, pulling the sheets aside …she tried to get up but sudden blackness covered her senses …..Even before she could stumble on floor someone gripped her and made her seat ….." relax...you cannot get out of bed just now ….you are still injured "even the doctors words did not consoled her …..
" I should go ……its Ashuthosh ……I have to save him "her disarray words wobbled out …
"He is fine …he is doing lot better now …." Doctor replied making her lie back in bed…
"Is he? ….." she asked with glint of smile…" but ……you found him?"
" not us …police found him …..And I want you to rest for some time …..you are still recovering …" he cajoled her
Leaning back she huffed out breath of relief , she did not failed this time , she saved him …he is fine now , he is alive and not dead …those words consumed her fully , filing heart with peace and kind of joy …
Closing her eyes tight shut, she let the reality sink in…" Can you inform Dr mathur …….that nidhi verma is conscience "doctors words sounded distant as she felt like floating and drifting into her sleep….into her undisturbed sleep…..
The damage that human body can survive these days is as astonishing as it is horrible, crushing, burning, bombing, blood vessel burst in brain, failed kidney, damaged intestine; ruptured heart, punctured lungs and deadly infection …these symptoms which had been lethal now can be survived ….. Alok mathur cannot forget the day as long he live, the day when Ashuthosh was lost for almost a day and found half dead near closed indira dam …Today staring at Ashuthosh , Alok mathur thought There were so many reason Ashuthosh could have died that day , he could have died of drowning if they did not found him on time , he could died of his diffuse damage , he could have died because of his strewn out internal bleeding , over the day he could have simply died with no help if they no one found him ..if no one saw him … he shuddered with the mere thought of it …..
After losing his wife, Ashuthosh is all he left with and realization that he lost his son too is worst than any nightmare …..Today as he stared at Ashuthosh he could not believe that Ashuthosh really made it …
Memory of the day is still raw in his mind , the moment when police called him to inform that they found Ashuthosh somewhere near indira dam all injured and wounded. Rushing to hospital, all thoughts hazy and a kind of fear grappled when he caught sight of Ashuthosh. ….. head injury, concussion, fractured knee and lot more internal bleeding to deal but all those days if anything which guided them, made those days bearable is the hope that life inside is still beating and he might get better with period of time….…..
Even though Ashu recovered from his physical bruises, his baba remembered that Ashu took days, struggled to accept the reality that Nidhi is injured and still not out of danger…..more importantly when he realized why she is in this situation at first place ..Even though he never voiced those feelings in front of anyone but his baba sensed that he cursing himself for letting this happen to her ….
Huffing out sigh , Alok stared at his face ……his bandaged forehead, with bruises …some deep cut which will remain like a reminder of whatever happened….
Even though Ashuthosh refused to talk anything about what exactly happened, police arrested Aditya and troop based on nitin's statement …..
He still could not understand why Ashu did that and what is it which is eating him up till now …..
"what is it …bothering you ? You want to talk about it ?" he asked patting his back affectionately
Hiding his turmoil, Ashu tried to smile …"huh …no nothing baba…"
"At least don't lie to your baba …hmm.."
Lowering his eyes , ashu nibbled on his lower lip …" if you are worried that your baba might shout at you for sneaking out , dating your girl friend..when he was not around ..Then you are wrong!"
Ashu gave hiccupping laugh …..When he did not responded his baba took his hands and stared at him "tell me …."
" Nidhi …is …not my …she is not what you think!"
"She is not …?" Alok gave him curious look "I thought my son is already in love ….you know …"
" Baba ….huh ….it's complicated and beside …"Ashuthosh mumbled giving away nothing

Closing his eyes, he breathed in …..he did not replied for a long time and after a while he mumbled" "it should not had happened ……whatever happened! , …. Nidhi getting injured …and her brother getting arrested huh….I feel guilty for messing up …may be somewhere even I am responsible….what if something happen to her .what if she do not recover …what if I lose her ….." he mumbled after a while ….
"she will get better …..I spoke to her doctor, she is recovering" Alok tried to reassure
" but she is still not conscience….."
"She will …her reports are showing that she is progressing ….."
" but …what if she do not forgive me and held me responsible for brother's condition….."
" he deserve what he got …." Alok tried to convince…
"That you think …..what about Nidhi , does she think same way ……he is her brother ….it must be terrible blow for her and her whole family …all this to digest " he mumbled
" I feel , you are thinking too much …..Stop assuming until you talk to her …" he replied looking at his gloomy eyes ….
"I don't know ….." bowing his head little lower he sat still….
"Don't you think you diverted the question all together …..!" Alok stated to pull him out his thoughts

"just got the news that Nidhi is conscience …and she is safe" …As soon as those words were out, He felt an enveloping happiness a joy made stronger with the certainty that she is fine now….and there is no more tragedy lingering in their life ….
"So you want to go? And Meet her …..." Alok stared at him expectantly
He did not reply for a long time …there was glint of uncertainty and lot more of hesitancy ….Slowly turning his head to face his baba. He smiled and nodded his head ..." yes...I want to meet her ….see her "
After getting the news that Nidhi is moved out of ICU, one morning Ashuthosh asked Mallika if she can wheel him to nidhi's room. Arman who came to meet gave him anxious look "Ashu …..I think …" he stopped when Mallika glared at him ….
When he did not respond Ashu asked "what is it Arman ….?"
Arman did not respond instead He sat still for few minutes .Just when Ashu moved towards door, Arman asked him abruptly "You really love her don't you?"
Turning his head towards Arman, Ashu stared at his friend "you love her …that even after all this, you cannot stop yourself from meeting her "Arman stated….
"I don't regret whatever happened to me Arman…but I do regret for putting her through this! " Ashu gazed at him …..
Arman nodded his head …." I know..I can see that "Arman tried to smile "but I worry about you …." He replied meekly
"You don't have to …I am fine" Ashu turned away from him as Mallika wheeled him towards the door.
Huffing out a sigh Arman continued "I am not stopping you from meeting her …I know I cannot" he stopped and went still for couple of minutes

"Jagan was mentioning about some concert in Delhi next month…..I can arrange for tickets if you people are interested …."

Opening the door, he wheeled inside the room and looked at sleeping form of Nidhi ….thousand emotions rippled in his heart as he gazed at her and it pained him seeing her all bruised and wounded ….it made him feel guilty that somewhere he is also responsible for whatever happened …..
Extending his hand, uncertainly...hesitantly he took her fingers; "nidhi …." he whispered as she stirred in her sleep……"As I promised, I came back ….."Leaning forward he whispered his words against her ear ….Fluttering her eyes open she looked sideways ….her drowsy eyes took minute to get adjusted to her surrounding…. "I came back …." He replied smilingly staring at her pools deep thoughtful eyes …..
He saw her eyes swelled with sudden tears as her fingers involuntary gripped his fingers ….a hiccupping sob escaped through her lips as she looked away to hide from him …..
"Is it paining still…?" Ashu asked her when she did not turn back ….closing her eyes; she felt his touch near her jaw line where her wound is healing …" no" she whispered but it came out like small whimper….
"You shouldn't be here …you shouldn't have come here to meet me, after whatever happened …." She stated looking straight at him
"Are you angry with me?"
"Angry for what?"
"It's oblivious …because of me, you brother is arrested …" Ashu replied
"What made you think that ….." she glared at him
"Why are you angry now …?" he asked
"Because …I don't know how to explain anymore …"
"Then why you don't want me anywhere near you ….." he asked anxiously
"Because …" she stopped, he waited for her to continue "because I am not good for you …..I am trouble for you, dint you see what happened …" closing her eyes tight shut she blurted out
"Is that it? ….is that what you think ..?" this time Ashu sounded angry ….
Tears streaked down her face as Ashu wondered how he will make her understand that he did not regretted a single moment which he spent with her, that he wants her even after all this ……and no amount of reality could change his feelings for her " you know ….. that moment when I thought that I will die ….I remembered you , very clearly ….may be that is what saved me today …the promise which I gave you saved me ….because I knew that I could not just go away like that …leaving you behind all alone ….I knew that you want me the same way I need you …." He smiled at her as his fingers stroked her hair fondly …" I never regretted meeting you….spending time with you ,my only regret lie in putting you through this ….through the same situation you gone through once …." He murmured.
"I am not angry with you …..If that is what bothering you "she replied turning to him …." Not for the reason you think ….my brother …he …" she stopped as pain clouded in her eyes "he never remained my brother when I realized ….he was behind my sisters accident …after that whenever I looked at him, he looked like a stranger who killed my sister …..Just because she preferred to spend her life the way she wants ….with the person she loved," Ashu pulled her to his chest , she gulped down her tears "shh….you don't have to talk about it, not now …" he tried to evade her from her pain
"I want to …." She mumbled pulling away from him
"Don't you see, by keeping my silence even I was involved in that sin ….sometime I feel so dirty, so bad for keeping this secret …and not speaking out when it was needed, even I betrayed my sister"
"No you are not …" he tried to console
"You are just trying to console me ….but you cannot change the truth "she blurted out as sudden sobs escaped through her lips "I tried you know, but I was easy to get into his manipulation ….I was weak and lost in my grief, I could not even stand up for her …when it was needed "
"But you did …. You stood up this time ….for me and for your sister" he wiped her tears as she put her head on his shoulder….." what you did to save me is not something small nidhi ….. Getting out of your fears and your silence …you are brave and strong … not weak and bad as you think "nidhi sighed and looked up at him hesitantly "do you really think so ….?"
"no I was just joking " he replied in mock anger
She smiled and looked at him as his words comforted her thoroughly "I missed you so much you know….I never wanted to go away from you" She blurted out just when he offered her some fruits to eat,

"Will you come out with me then….?" He questioned smilingly "you see I don't want to stay away from you either…." He grinned
She looked at him with her mouth wide open, her cheeks turned crimson red hearing his bold, yet honest response...he chuckled in turn when he caught sight of her expression ….leaning forward, he tucked her hair behind her ears and murmured "I want to make it perfect this time not like last time …you see, I don't want to meet you like we are doing something wrong …in hiding, I want to meet your baba first …..I want to take his permission before I take you out "…she looked over at him but she could not hide the happiness which started filling her vacant eyes ….meeting her dark, deep eyes he gazed down at her for one moment and then slowly he reached for her hand and silence settled like blanket…" you don't have any idea how much I looked forward to be with you, just to see you smile ….." he gulped down as his heart thudded fast , he wondered can she feel havoc in his inside …..But she just smiled tenderly, there new kind of recognition registered on her face as if she already what he is trying to tell her …..That hesitancy remained just for a second then he blurted out "I loved you nidhi, love you always …it is something which I don't have control over to stop nor I want to stop….… "He mumbled. The moment he confessed, he became conscience as He tried to gauge her expression what she is thinking, what she is feeling ….her eyes still and not giving out anything looked back at him, that moment he feared to hear the worst
it remained just for a second then she smiled and her whole face lit up or maybe it was his …but it was certain that her smile lit up there whole world as she snuggled in his arms, crushing her to his chest he kissed her forehead …..as he sighed out with happy murmur …" I love you …love you always nidhi"
"I don't think, she will come …." Arman muttered looking at rearview mirror
Ashu glared at him …" ohh common Arman, she will come "Mallika replied back
"She won't …." Arman mumbled chewing his fourth sandwich
"And what made you think so …?" irritated Ashu snapped back
"Because she might be upset …..After her brother's trial …" Arman mumbled
"Stop being so insensitive Arman …" Mallika pushed him away
"Insensitive! ….what did I said?? huh ..I just stated she must be upset" Arman snapped back
Ignoring him completely Mallika looked at Ashu " how she is doing with all this …is she doing fine ?"Mallika enquired
Huffing out a sigh, Ashu replied " yes , I think so ….. …you know her right ! How she is … sometime she does not tell me anything. But she is worried about her baba "
"How is he? , you went to meet him right ?"
" yes , he went to ask if he can take nidhi out for a date …what a crazy idea , only you can do this Ashu .." Arman chuckled
"Just shut up Arman ….we are talking something serious "Mallika glared at him in turn he just sulked …
"He was down for couple of days, first because of nidhi and then …Aditya's trial, he was pretty worn out but now he is better …yesterday, me and baba, we went to meet him after the trail" Ashu replied
"Here she is Romeo, your lady love …" Arman replied grinningly …Ashuthosh who was sitting with slumped look sat up straight as his face lit up " nothing can be done to you from here on ..I am telling you Mallika, this boy is gone out of our hand ….from now on, once she come here we don't even exist to him" muttering this Arman glared at him
"Why don't you search someone for you Arman…." Mallika replied gleefully
"Ohh common, I don't want to ruin my freedom so soon ….I can see how both of your freedom is snatched out of your hand ….Let me be myself for sometime "Arman replied ….
Which in turn made them chuckle as Ashu got down to meet Nidhi with smile on his face ….
Time started dribbling; splintering into fragments and soaring with each notes of electric guitar...drum beats melted into one another mingling with sigh of the crowd, their roar, their whooping laughter blending with her silence …..Frenzy mass of seething, writhing people, dark masses of bodies around her surrounding her, so close, so near...waving their hand, stamping their feet to the beat, jumping in air …with joy….
Just then she felt his hand around her waist, his mouth whispering against her ear something which instantly put a smile on her face … Turning back to face him she was pulled once again, his hands surrounded her waist as he leaned forward to kiss on her crimson red cheeks …..His fingers tucking her hair gracefully, his eyes seeking for hers ….those eyes of his looked down at her , they shone brightly in the blurred lights of concert hall …wide , black pools , seeking out galaxies ….. Her heart thudding behind her breast bone, flipped as he smiled looking at her...Her inside swelled with love for him …..Reaching across to touch him, cupping his cheeks …she brushed her nose across his cheeks …..She could hear, feel the beginning of new song onstage and a new song within her, her lips moved to sang in unison ….strewn out words wobbled out of her mouth blending with web of sound .
