He freshens up, have his dinner and goes to the study room and takes a book to read. Meanwhile Nidhi was back home and telling BB about the film they just watched. BB was never fed up at hearing her nidhi. She was always like this since a child a chatterbox and will never hide anything from her BB. Whenever she was back from school he will give each and evry details of what has happened in the class. It was just a blessing for him to have nidhi as his daughter. It was finally bed time for her and waiting for the day to come to go back at KGH. Rohan manage to send a mechanic to repair Nidhi's car and brought it back to her house. What an angel Rohan is she thought, he always have a solution for each and every problems nidhi has. She always teases him by telling him that the girl who will marry her will be very lucky, but Rohan doesn't believe in love story , he says that's all rubbish and people always suffer form love.

The next day was quite busy at KGH, everyone was busy with their own duty assignment. Nidhi was unable to see Dr Ashutosh today and this disturb her little.Today she has a night shift and was quite anxious about this as this will be the first time she will be spending the night outside her house. But she was quite happy to experience it also.The day has passed by very quickly as it was quite busy with some emergency cases coming and it was already night. Nidhi and Dr Priyanka, the other intern on night duty lead their way to the caferaria when she finally spotted Dr Ashutosh sitting at one of the table accompanied by Dr Mallika and Dr Shrivastav the cardiologist talking about a serious case while having coffee. She could hear the fast beat of her heart while approaching the table they were sitting. Ashutosh from his side could also feel the presence of Nidhi he just raise his head and there he sees nidhi was just infront of him. " Good evening doctors" he said with his persistent voice. Mallika gave a quick smile at them and continues to listen to Dr Shrivastav. Priyanka and Nidhi seated right opposite of their table . Ashutosh and Nidhi were facing each other and everytime they would give a quick glance at each other. Finally, after their meal Nidhi and Priyanka leaves for their respective wards.Soon after their were an announcement that there was an explosion at a nearby building next to the hospital. All the medical staff present were trying to help. Some had to on on spot while others had to be present at the hospitals. Ashutosh asks Dr Ranganath to call upon all the interns and doctors on emergency duties and in few hours they were all present to handle the situation. Dr Ashutosh, Dr Mallika, Dr Priyanka, Dr Jhoti and Nidhi were all outside on their way to the building. Nidhi leans on the side of the building a few feet from the parking lot's exit. She looks at the street, and almost everywhere were black with smokes. Some of the people passing by were knocked to the sidewalk.There was a woman who was face down,and stunned for a second, then immediately aware of the heat and the tiny pieces of fiery debris falling in the street. A car flips in a perfect violent somersault and lands upside down. \the tires and wheels and doors and fenders slung free. The car was a brilliant fireball, roaring away with flames instantly devouring it. Nidhi started toward it, screaming for the person inside the car. Debris fall around her and the heat slowed her. She stopped like thirty feet away, screaming with hands over her mouth. The other doctors were helping the injured ones to the hospital, all the ward boys were also outside trying their best to help each other. Then a second explosion flipped the car again. Nidhi loses her footing and her head fell hard on the bumper of another car. The pavement was hot to her face.

Nidhi was scared seeing all these heavy smoke billowed from the fireball and all the debris, Ashutosh could feel it. She was trembling and hurt her head while falling down. Ashutosh scolded her for going so near to the car , he drags her elbows back to the sidewalk.There were shouts and voices in panic. The crowd thickens and the street was busy. Sirens could be heard. Ashutosh asks her if she got hurt but nidhi says that the people injured need more help than her right now.The first fire truck screms to a halt twenty feet away, and the crowd parted. Firemen jump and scramble in all directions. " Where is Ram" a lady was screaming. Ashutosh asks the lady who Ram is? " Ram Gopal," ahe says softly, as if everyone knows him. " Was he in the car" Nidhi asks.She nod, then close her eyes.Nidhi told her not to worry and they will investigate while Ashutosh looks at her and step forward to see the other casualties.The siren wails and dies, and in between the shouts of anxious men, and the popping of the fires could be heard. Nidhi grabs the elbow of the lady and tries to pull her. She asks if she is fine and tries pulling her but her head was hurting she says. The head was fractured, split, blusted, and she was in shock.Nidhi walks the lady through the crowd, behind a fire truck,around another one when finally reach the ambulance.She opens the door and asks the ward boy to take care of her.Nidhi quickly return back where the other doctors were taking care of the injured people. There were some children also who were in the playing outside on the road next to the building. It was just a horrified scene to see. Nidhi was left speechless and horrified infront of all these injured persons. Ashutosh could imagine who the new interns were feeling right now as it is their first time experience with such kind of accident. He approaches Nidhi and asks her if she is fine . Nidhi tries to speak, but could not hold the tears. She burries her face in her handkerchief .Almost all the injured persons were transported to KGH. Inside the hospital there were like fifty people sitting in various degrees of pain and discomfort. A small boy with a bloody towel around his foot is crying in his mother's lap. Nidhi crouches in front of him and carries him inside for examination. Thank god is was just a mild scratch which she cautiously clean and put bandage. The hospital was like a zoo with nurses, doctors, ward boys and orderlies, the wounded yelling and moving about in each and every corner. After a few hours everything seems to be in control. The slightly injured were allowed to go home and around 15 patients were admitted due to high degree burns . Nidhi finds her way to the burnt unit. The big open room had twelve filled beds circling the large nurses' station.People milled about. Comatose bodies were attached to machines, respirators and monitors. Tubing hang everywhere.Nidhi's heart and breath quickens. She was unable to react while looking of all this infront of her. " There is no time to dream Dr Nidhi" she hears Dr Mallika behind her. Nidhi growls. " Let's get to work and meet your patients" Dr Mallika tells her not looking directly at her. Her attitude was making Nidhi nervous. Nidhi wonders what she has done to set her off, or if she was always this unfriendly, not being aware that Mallika saw Ashutosh taking much care of Nidhi on the road and a wave of jealousy strikes her. Mallika seems agitated and nervous. Dr Ashutosh was right besides another bed and could see Mallika and Nidhi interaction. Ashutosh upon hearing Mallika telling nidhi about the burnt patients intervenes and tells Mallika that nidhi is actually assigned to the children's ward and that she should give these assignments to the one responsible in this ward. Mallika fuses at this remark and nidhi leaves out a cute thankful smile to Dr Ashutosh who came to rescue her in a way. "But Ashutosh, we sure can use another pair of hands" she said. The comment made Nidhi cringe, she is wondering if she is a unit doctor or part of a robot. Her cheeks were red with anger and was about to burst out if Dr Mallika continues. Ashutosh could see it and told Mallika that Nidhi can help out here in this ward now as it is an emergency but will continue in her respective wards after. Nidhi feels some kind of recomfort with Ashutosh words and the way he was defending her. He seems to be warm, compassionate, caring and trustworthy.Everything seems to be undercontrol when Sujata, one of the interns came in anxiously calling for Dr Ashutosh. " Sir, Dr Avastav is calling you urgently concerning the small boy with the 3rd degree burns" Ashutosh quickly runs to see Dr Avastav, he was followed by Dr Mallika and Nidhi. Nidhi could recognize the boy, he was the same boy who was in the car with Mr Ram Gopal. Apparently both father and son got stuck in their car and couldn't come out that's why his wife was looking for them and fainted on the street. Ashutosh examins him but couldn't do anything.Mostly all the parts of his body was burnt, he knows that this was about to come. Mrs Ram Gopal who was beside her son couldn't take it. She couldn't control her emotions of losing both her husband and son , she just faint next to the bed. Nidhi couldn't resist also she feels like throwing out, when she sees Dr Ashutosh covering the head of the boy, one could see his eyes full of tears but was controlling himself.Nidhi couldn't handle it anymore she turned back and exit the room.Through the door,into another hall,much quieter,another door and she was finally alone in a small room and burst out her cry so loudly . A few minutes later she could hear the door opens and Ashutosh was right behind her. He knew she will burst and he followed her and assure her that he can understand her reactions. He told her that in such situations doctors should be brave as theyhave to face the families of the dead one and all the remaining injured patient.But Nidhi couldn't understand all this the face of the boy and the mother was haunting her memories.

" Sorry. It's just that I'm scared, that's all" nidhi explains.

It was finally time for everyone who was on day duty to go home. Another day was over again in KGH Nidhi thought. She is thinking about how much she didn't want to come and work in a hospital, but now with time and turn of events. She is liking it. Today she is in a hurry to go home, because she, Anjie and Rohan are planning to go and watch a movie in the theater. She just likes to watch movies and makes it a must that at least once in a month or two she'll go to the theatre. After saying good-bye to everyone, she steps forward to her car. She tries to start the car but hears a whirring sound, there was an insistent light on the dashboard. "Oh No" she cries out loudly. She tries again several times but was of no use. She calls Rohan and explains the situation, and Rohan suggests that she take a taxi and come home rather than waiting for them to come and pick her up, thus saving time to go to the movie. Rohan tells her that he will send a mechanic to repair the car and brings it back home after. Even she didn't want to go by taxi at this time, she soon realizes that Rohan was right. She grabs her bag and was about to leave when she hears " Something's wrong Dr Nidhi" she could recognize this unique voice among thousand. She turns back and nearly knocks Dr Ashutosh off her feet since he is standing right behind her. Every time he is around, Nidhi could feel it, she can sense it, it's like everywhere is quiet, no people around only the sensation of a soft breeze on her face is enough for her to know that he is around. She usually sees this every time in film but this happening to her, she couldn't really believe it. "No Sir, I'm fine it's only my car, unwilling to start" she says with a smile. " Don't worry about the car Dr Nidhi, we can send a mechanic to see the problem later now come I'll drop you home" he says. N: " No Sir, it's ok I'll manage I'll surely get a taxi". But Ashutosh insists that he cannot leave alone on the road one of his interns who is still on his responsibility, because if anything happens to them he will be responsible.

Nidhi knows it was useless to argue with him as Dr Hardstone always has the last word. So without any more argument she quietly sits in the car. Both are feeling quite perturb as it was the first time they were alone together. Several times both were giving a glance to each other and Ashutosh could feel the embarrassment of Nidhi and tries his best to make her comfortable by starting a conversation. She knows this girl cannot atay one minute without talking and how she is feeling now he could obviously understand he smiles to himself while thinking of it.

A: " So Dr Nidhi, your BB told me that you didn't want to be a doctor? Is it true? Any personal reasons for that ". Nidhi couldn't believe that BB told this to Dr Ashutosh on his first visit to their house.

N: " Yes Sir , that's right but this was my mother's wish so I have to fulfill it "

A: " But why not a doctor? Any specific reasons?"

N: " Not really Sir, you know I'm that kind of persons who usually makes many mistakes, at home it's ok BB and Dadi Bua are used to it and forgives me everytime but here I cannot allow myself to do mistakes, nobody will come to save me. You know Sir, she continues my mind gets distracted very easily and my focus and attention shifts unpredictably also, but on the plus side I am very creative and innovative kind of individual with lots of good ideas ". She says innocently while looking down. Nidhi was just talking, giving details about her positiveness and negativeness without giving a second thoughts to what she was saying. Ashutosh looks at her amusingly and couldn't stop himself from chuckling.

A: " Don't worry Dr Verma, here I will make sure that you don't make such mistakes". Nidhi blushes awkwardly under his stare and feels her heart beating strangely while thinking that she was just behaving like a non stop radio. Ashutosh just recalls about Sister Janky words to him about Nidhi and realizes that she is right, her spontaneity, energy and emotional honesty makes her well liked by the whole staff and patients of KGH. She was for sure a plus to the hospital whom Ashutosh doesn't want to lose at any costs, he thought.

Ashutosh finally stops his car in front of Nidhi's house. Rohan and Anjie are waiting for her outside. N: " Thank you Sir, " she says to him still feeling awkward about all that she said. A: " You are the most welcome Dr Verma, it was a pleasure talking to you all through this drive to your house" he says with a sarcastic smile. She gets out of the car and says good-bye. A: " Wow Nidhi what a handsome driver you have"

All three laugh at this answer and start to prepare themselves to leave for the movie. After having a light dinner they leave for the movie. Nidhi was still feeling awkward when remembering about all her bla bla bla with her senior. Finally they reach the movie theatre and make them comfortable in their respective seats. The movie was quite interesting all the three of them were engrossed in the film.

Driving back home, Ashutosh was in a pleasant mood thinking about Nidhi. A strong feeling to listen to music suddenly arise from him. He switch on the radio and coincidently he starts humming to the song that was playing. Ashutosh realizes that it was too early for him to conclude anything about Nidhi right now. They were still strangers, he doesn't know that much about her and vice versa. They just started to know each other and this also mostly professionally, he doesn't even know if she has a boyfriend or not, as most girls of her age has. He was still confused. Surely there will be a time for him to face all this but for now it is too early he says to himself while getting out of his car to enter his house. But he just couldn't let it go, he couldn't stop thinking of her, just thinking of her is bringing a smile on his face and that also HK has noticed it and told him several times that he has change and a good change though.

They remain like this for a few seconds when suddenly they could hear Dr Mallika voice calling for Ashutosh. Ashutosh reluctantly removes his hand around her . Nidhi could feel her face flushing. Tears stains was on Ashutosh shirt and this was obvious to Mallika that Ashutosh was holding Nidhi. " Nidhi was feeling quite embarrass ". " Why are you two in this remote place of the hospital? Anything wrong Dr Nidhi? Mallika said with her persistent voice. Nidhi didn't find it necessary to answer she just gave her a mild look and turned her back moving away from her. Ashutosh explain to Mallika that Nidhi was so upset with the sudden desmise of the little boy and told her that he could understand as Nidhi is still young and new to the profession. Mallika gave Ashutosh a pervert look and tells him that Nidhi is not that young she is a doctor . Then they both left the room to go to the ward.
