Yeah I agree that Dixit siblings have no real bonding with each other. Such is Ishwari's upbringing.

But regarding the wedding, I won't blame Dev for not attending. That is really height, he lost the love of his life, betrayed by his mother whom he worshipped, he was completely heartbroken and depressed. And what did his sisters do? Did they stand by him, console him, try to help him out? No, nothing. He had stood by them all his life and the one time he was going through a tough phase, none of them could be bothered. But they blamed him for not attending their weddings. Hello, who paid for all that? Did the skies shower money? It was Dev, wasn't it? I am especially glad he didn't attend Neha's second wedding. She made his married life miserable, just because she had been unhappy.

Even afterwards, Dev had to go and make amends. The sisters later finally understood how badly they had failed him and apologized to him.

But Ishwari should never be claiming to be a great mother, considering how the siblings were. That's for sure.

I think that depends on when the wedding happened. How many years after sonakshi left. Ria's wedding seemed 3-4 years after sonakshi left. He could've attended imo.

I also don't think only he stood up with his sisters . They stood up for him as well. Neha kinda lost everything for him, ik her last days were terrible but before that she did support their relationship. If Dev's behaviour can be excused so can neha's. Also she had genuine reasons for disliking Sona imo. Idk for whatever reason sonakshi was hell bent on "saving" their relationship.

I get why that he was depressed but I honestly don't excuse this. He wasn't dealing with his trauma, nor was he reflecting on his behaviour. His depression somehow only showed in him sleeping around. Also he acted terribly towards sonakshi for them to actually question his love. (I wouldn've been upset if my brother turned out to be such a person). They could've helped a bit but that isn't something that Dev should've expected. They weren't very close before sonakshi showed up. I doubt that bond grew too much.

I would blame Nikki probably for not helping him because she was the only one who didn't have her shit to deal with. Neha had serious troubles in her marriage (I wouldn't put the main couple's troubles over some other)

Ria's love interest turned out to be a incestual lover.

I'd however blame them from not standing with sonakshi. That was terrible, they saw and were aware of their brothers actions, how she was treated and didn't even check up once.

For the money, neha gave up her entire childhood for Dev so she couldn't be questioned.

Nikki lived with her boyfriend. Dev was basically a parent to her. Same with ria.

Dev and Sona were both heartbroken, but had very different ways of coping.

Dev was dating multiple women, to prove to himself that he was moving on from Sona. But that is most unlike him, he wasn't a womanizer and pretty much everyone around him knew it was a facade. Everyone knew he was pining for Sonakshi. He was severely depressed, which is why he was doing this. He didn't go to work much and he rarely met his mother. His mother, the person who was his God,, his everything meant nothing now. That itself shows how far gone he was. That's the thing about depression, the ways to cope is not textbook. He was in serious denial about the entire sequence of events which is why he wasn't introspective.

Sona, on the other hand, did not have the luxury to sit and think about how she felt and how she will deal with her heartbreak. She was on survival mode the whole time. She was pregnant and her whole family was on the streets. "When you are on the Titanic, you don't stop to yell at the iceberg. You focus on lowering the life boats." That's what she did. She took care of herself, her baby, built a business and gave her family the life they lost. Her way of coping was to build a wall around herself, completely impenetrable. No one could get in there, not even her own feelings. She kept it all at bay, until Dev broke that wall and captured her heart again.

Dev's sisters knew how heartbroken he was. He wasn't even paying attention to their mother, that was a big deal in the Dixit household. They knew how much he loved Sona and how it had been when he had first broken up with her. This was worse, because this was after their marriage. So why not step up for the brother who had always been there for them? He needed his family. But the Dixits were always too selfish, and until Sona, Dev was always alone. He was just their go-to guy for all materialistic things and the fall guy for Neha's rants. It's pathetic how three grown-up women treated their brother. As long as he provided for them, they were all Dev bhaiyya!! And as soon as he crumpled, they blamed him and took off!

In the show, I wanted Dev's sisters to apologize to him as much as I wanted him to apologize to Sonakshi. Thankfully, Ishwari does make them realize that.

I low key kinda agree even though I've stated my views.

I wanted neha to apologize to both. She had reasons but she must've realised her mistake after some time.

Ria Nikki I don't fault as much..ria was barely 20/22 idk and Nikkie was probably 18 or something. Don't expect too much from them.

But I still think Dev should've gone to their weddings. The same.way it wouldn't be fine for neha to miss Dev's wedding due to her divorce with ranveer it's also not okay for Dev to do the same..

As flawed as Dev was, I could always understand where he came from.

I guess I am also really salty about how terrible they have made him now in this season. Because I loved how layered he was in the first season.

also my fav character is bijoy and dev treats bijoy so bad i really am starting to strongly dislike him. curse him each time her comes on screen witht the deer in a headlights expression

I really want to root for him, just as I rooted for both Dev and Sona in the first season.

But why are they making it so damn hard to root for him?!

saurabh started a buisness, dev saw the company in the market gave money to saurabh 5 crores. without telling his maa.

maa comes to know. dev and sona were forced to go to a vacay to conceive a kid.(lol thats another issue dev hid sona's infertility and when it came out ishu blamed sona for corrupting dev and asked her to try the fullest to conceive, dev was like haanji chalo, sonakshi was obviously distraught because she genuinely wanted kids and everyone was making her feel like she was less than )

okay back to topic. bijoy asha came to receive dev and sona. mamiji started calling bijoy chor, and saurabh useless. bijoy got angry. ishu taunted bijoy how their family could do such a thing. use dev. after extreme pressure dev said he was not coerced to do so.

ishu ma falls down (mera beta mera na rha, usne behno ka nhi socha ((lol aaj tak toh socha nhi behno ke baare me))

dev consoling her whilst mamiji calling bijoy names, bijoy comes to dev to stop mamiji, dev turns to shut bijoy and ends up slapping him.

sona leaves.

bijoy cries in asha's lap, genuinely hurt.

dev goes with mithai to apologize touches bijoy's feet. bijoy throws mithai (i mean obviously)

sona returns few days later with 5 crore, leasing their house.ishuwari is like haw mere muh par paise daal rhi. dev screams at sona, in fight dev pushes sona and ishu was behind her so ishu falls. dev tells sonakshi to leave.

honestly this show was good for 200 episodes. wahan tak its fine baad me its terrible.

Is it the continuation of the previous season?
