I agree. Dev wants everyone to cater to his Maa's wishes or his wishes. It's like they feel that since they have suffered so much in life no one knows any struggle or pain except for them. That everyone else's pain is minor infront of theirs and everyone should just suck it up. Ishwari thinks she did so much for her kids and no mother can even compete to what she did. Newsflash Miss Ishwari every mom does the best for her kids. Dev should be thankful to Sonakshi that atleast one of his sisters is talking to him that's because she is close with Sonakshi otherwise she wouldn't come either. And the fact that Dev was not with Sonakshi when her mom died, yeah that would have been the ultimate deal breaker for me. Such a hypocrite Dev is.

It genuinely blows my mind how these two can never see their wrong. They can never reflect on their actions. Matlab atleast make a list of all the wrongs you guys have done to each person because it's a lot. They have a serious case of main character syndrome. (Where you think you the most important person and noone else matters)

Neha and ria don't even visit Dixit house. Even on raakhi. Whereas Saurabh and Sona talk problems out. Ishuwari did something seriously wrong that her daughters don't bother with her at all. And she's the least worried about that. Never even seen her call the other 3.

Dev on how bijoy only judges him. Bhaiya Aapne konse mahan kaam kiye Hain Apne father in law ke liye. You slapped him, you didn't save his lifetime JAMA punji his house. Apparently Dev wasn't even there when ASHA passed. Toh what has Dev done for bijoy.

Sonakshi has saved ishu from the whole khatri matter. She was her nutritionist and even after marriage took care of her. If ishuwari can't accept sonakshi even now how on earth Dev expects bijoy to accept him . (If I was related to sonakshi I wouldn't accept Dev like ever)

Ayush and Soha keep telling their feelings to Dev and he doesn't runderstand. It's like it doesn't even reach his brain.

Ishuwari thinks Dev is hira husband because he took care of kids for few months.

Ishuwari looks down on bijoy as if he is bad. Aankhe kholo toh Zara pata chalega how he is the best father , a much much better husband and a so much better father in law. (Only one moment ishu realised how well bijoy treats ronita when bijoy said "ronita ki sirf ek cheez nhi Pasand uska husband" and laughed. )

Ishuwari still believes she did right despite, mamaji, Sona, Dev aayush and even Soha being against her. Behen itna confidence Kahan se laati ho. Considering her past track record of terrible relationships with her son (yes she manipulates him made him loose the love of his life, than his daughter) her daughters that she still doesn't build the bond with, her daughter in law , her poti now , her samdhis.

(Also shout out to the beautiful person that messaged me how I am a fake feminist. Aap hi bata do kaise feminism chalta hai feminism ke gate keeper)

fantastic post πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘

@ BOLD

Anything Sona or kids say doesn’t reach his πŸ’•

Dimag aur Dil only has maa for Dev.

He is heartless & Dumba** @ being a man, husband & a father or even brother.

Ishworry has no love lost for her daughters. She thinks only Dev a son she has.

She is pathetically in denial. She projects her own how & what she does on to Sona.

i have seen this type of relationships. If its not love for mother than its godly complex where indian men wants to look good in society. Bhaad me jaye wife & kids. πŸ™„πŸ™

Pink : ikr also am sorry i don't buy that you couldn't teach neha. dev could've taught her at home, neha is by no means stupid. it wasn't just circumstances. ishu made a choice.

Green : honestly am i surprised. no. but i would've divorced him like 7 years ago. but its the audacity to talk about his mother when this one didn't even show up for asha's death. i want to know his excuse, what dumb reason will he give. sonakshi needs to get over love because this is not it. sis find yourself a ritwick ye saat janmo wali bakwas chodo

She saw Dev as an investment,( ladka to maa ke saath hi rahega, ladkiyan to doosre ghar ki hoti hain kinda nonsense.) So she made a conscious choice to educate Dev. I was watching Kabhi khushi kabhi gham yesterday, and the relationship between Jaya Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan as a mom and son was so nice and warm, he loved his mom more than life itself and would have died for her, but he knew how to stand up for his wife when she isn't wrong even if that means not seeing his parents for years. There's this particular dialogue that he said and was so damn important he said" voh bade hain par dil todne ka haq unhe bhi nahi hai". If only Dev could understand that his mom isn't God who will never do any wrong, even if he believes her intentions aren't wrong he should call her out on her actions. But no Maa is God and only what she thinks is right.

pink : yes bingo. whenever investment ka divident kam hota hai she flips out. lol whenever she sees dev doing anything for literally anyone else she flips out.

green : Yep. warna krishna would've never killed kansa, nor would arjuna go to a war against his tatshree. itna mordern soch bhi nhi hai ye its basic logic.

In my opinion- he does understand. It is that he doesn't want to accept it. We've seen it before, and I think the biggest part of his character is that he sees the truth in something, but deliberately ignores it. He feels it, he grieves alone, but then pushes it down.

He knew his mom had those pre-nup papers signed by deceit and that she never wanted his marriage to work, but he simply ignored it and blamed Sonakshi for leaving him (despite knowing and fully seeing how passionately she is against the idea of a pre-nup) He yells at the lawyer, tears the document, promises Bijoy he will never accept this, but he doesn't question his mother's actions.

Same way he sees the issue here, understands Ayush's issue, understand's Soha's insecurities. When Ishwari is not around, he lets her know that she will always be his princess but he would never take that step if Ishu was in the room. Dev is trapped in a toxic marriage with his mother, he doesn't see what he doesn't want to see.

Dev is not necessarily a bad man, but he's a weak man. Sonakshi deserves a partner that stands by her, that is her equal, not necessarily a good man that can't lift a finger in her defense.

Honestly I agree to an extent.

But there's some decisions he took on his own. (How he treats bijoy, he didn't check on Sona etc)

That I put on him. Personally I understand where he comes from but he does his own actions..

He also expects sonakshi to do the same for ishu. He needs therapy I agree but his actions lead to terrible consequences. And he doesn't properly redeem himself either.

You're so right! We saw 7 years of him living in pain, but virtually no guilt and no redemption. He thinks that if they've gotten past a problem, it is over and not to be discussed again, while Sona tries to solve the root cause and not the result. In all their fights, whenever Sona brings up an example and he knows his mom is at fault, he blames her for changing the topic and bringing up old things.
