@grace You are my ray of hope... You know, whenever I read your posts, they fill me with a sense of positivity... So, seeing you down and slightly disappointed after yesterday's episode didn't exactly make me happy...
I intentionally waited till today's episode was aired to answer your question, on the disconnect that you experienced after yesterday's episode...
Even I felt so and the reason, I guess, is simple... Dev's conversation with Elena clearly showed us the desperation and the suffocation that he felt when he saw Sona silent...
There is a quote which continues to remain inside my head...
'Silence is golden.'
And, I would like to add another line to this quote which I feel will perfectly express my views..
'Silence is Golden and like everything made out of Gold, Silence also comes with its price and consequences.'
Sorry, for the absurd quotation.. It sounded better in my head...
But, what I wish to say is that Dev was always very confident when it comes to his love for Sonakshi and hence, he had the courage to confess to his love...
But, Sona (excluding certain instances) was always very scared regarding her love with Dev... After the separation, she has locked up her love for Dev in some secret corner of her wounded heart...
She always felt that, if she ever unlocked the door which was guarding her love for Dev, it will vanish into thin air, like her fairy tale which had also went up in flames..
In the first promo, Sona's last dialogue clearly mentioned that 'she will not utter a single word and it is up to Dev to understand her unspoken words, her silence'. I think this revealed a very important trait of her character, which we ignored at the time, but now, I see the depth of this dialogue...
=======================
Sona always treasured Dev's love and basked in its radiance... She danced and bloomed like a Sunflower when her Sun shined its light on her...
But, what she had never expected was that darkness (which was her eternal fear) will come back to haunt her... She never expected for her marriage with Dev to break.. She felt that she had already achieved her happy ending when she married Dev..
In some ways, she was still the naive, innocent girl who believed in fairy tales and love stories... But, after her marriage, this sweet, little girl was forced to open her eyes and see the real world...
She was never truly prepared for the hurdles that came after her marriage with her Sun... She was expecting a pleasant walk where each day will be only filled with happiness and joy.. She was neither expecting thorns nor darkness in her journey...
In her naivete, she tried to face the challenges that were in her way, in the only way, she knew.. Alone...
Nobody ever told her (neither her parents or her fairy tales) that for her marriage to blossom and thrive, she will need the assistance of her partner and she can't do it alone...
This is why, we saw her depending so much on the advice of her existing support systems (Bijoy and Asha) during her marriage... Asha told her to try her best to adapt to the changes happening in her life and Bijoy told her to change Dev and mould her Sun in a way, where he only shines his light on her and no one else...
Nobody told her that she will need to put trust in her Sun and tell him her heart's fears... Nobody told her she need to express her fear of the encroaching darkness for the Sun to cut through them...
And, hence, she did what she was told... In her fear that she will lose her Sun and once again, be enveloped in darkness, she started hiding her inner self from the coming darkness, with the hope that her Sun will listen to her silent cry for help and protect her...
But, with each incident, Sona continued to get surrounded by the darkness and slowly, she lost her connection with her husband... Her Dev was still there but he can no longer hear her cries nor understand her emotional state... And, innocence and naivete shattered into a million shards... In the end, her Sun betrayed her and once again, left her in the clutches of the darkness and she was again alone...
The innocent, bubbly 'Khargosh' inside her faced a sudden death on the very night when she threw her mangalsutra on the hot, raging flames... The flames became the pyre of her the girl who believed in the colorful and enchanting world of fairies and princesses...
From the ashes rose a woman with a heart of steel and a soul lacking the innocence of her former self... This woman has seen pain, sorrow and grief... And, accepted her fate, her destiny of living a lonely life...
She used the cruel and harshest words of Dev (during the last meeting) to make the walls which guarded the small and the hurt girl inside her... But, what she had not expected that the walls were not built perfectly well...
There were cracks present in the walls and small rays of her Sun touched the little girl inside her and started to heal the wounds... Those rays of Sunshine became her Suhana...
Her little Soha became the last remaining source of her lost Sun, her Dev.. Her little miracle were the eyes through which she saw the colors in the world when her world had already become monochromatic...
Her little angel were the ears through which she heard the melodious song of the birds where she had become used to the deafening silence of her own beating heart...
Her little princess smile and laughter became the fire which brought warmth to her cold, shivering soul...
For Sonakshi, Suhana became the reason for her to continue living... Without her, I don't think that Sona would have been able to survive her heartbreak... Soha became her strength and her happiness.. In other words, Soha became the reason for her existence.
But, 7 years later, Sona felt that she was healed completely and no longer depended on her Dev... But, then, she met him and soon, the cruel Fates once again started playing the cruel game with her already wounded heart...
But, this time, she was determined... She felt that she is strong enough to not get affected by the presence of her ex-husband...
She tried with all her might to resist him but he had always known how to creep into her heart and finally, he succeeded.. He pounded on the doors of her self-made prison until it broke open...
And, with his magical fingers, he started healing the broken girl inside her, slowly and steadily... She felt that Dev has finally heard her silent plea and hence, started opening her deepest wounds...
But, before she could fully heal, destiny finally played her cruel trick once again when Ishwari requested her assistance to seek a bride for Dev's remarriage...
And, once again, she shut the little girl inside... Knowing that she has been tricked once again... She knew it was a matter of time before the inevitable happened once again...
She knew, that this time too, she will end up being all alone... She did hear the pounding on the door, begging her to come out of her shell... But, she was too broken.. She was too damaged..
Dev needs someone in his life who could be his support, his partner, his 'sahara'... He needed someone who could make him laugh, make him cry, make him happy... And, how could she provide him happiness when she herself is too broken..
And, slowly, the pounding on her door came to an end... But, then she hears her brother questioning her love for Dev... He was questioning the intensity of her love of the man on whose hands, she sacrificed her heart forever... Her brother called her a liar and accused her of playing games with Dev's heart..
NO.. NO... She yelled out... I LOVE DEV... AND, I CAN'T IMAGINE MY LIFE WITHOUT HIM... Finally, after 7 long years, she admitted to herself the truth that she was running away from...
But, in the process, she also revealed the broken girl who once in her naivete believed in fairy tales and did everything and became anything which the other people in her life wanted, just so that she can spend another day living her fairy tale.. But, in the end, was left alone...
But, this time, everyone around her assured her that Dev still loves her and wants to be her... With a heart filled with hope, she finally gained some courage and went to the engagement to confess her love for him...
And, when she entered the room, she saw everyone looking at her and she saw how Dev's eyes followed her... But, before she could confess her feelings, she was led away and then, she saw him dancing with Nisha...
All her hopes crumbled as the woman in her finally took over and she realised the dangers of falling in love with Dev once again... No, she was being selfish and questioned the inner princess in her about her rights over Dev's love or life...
No, it was better for everyone that she remains silent.. But, she was already weakened by her confrontation with her brother and the admission of her love for Dev...
So, in a daze, she moved from one room to another, from the bedroom to her favorite place in her once marital home, the garden, reliving the cherished and happiest memories of her life...
Before, she can come out of her past, she, accidently revealed everything to Nisha.. How she still considers Dev to be her charming Prince, how he was the perfect one for her and how he was the best thing that ever happened to her...
In other words, she realised that even after having such a tormenting and painful past with Dev and running away from her feelings... She was still unsuccessful from hiding her heart from Dev's love...
And, the next thing, she remembers is Dev confessing that he still loves her and Nisha's question whether she loves him...
The opportunity that has escaped her is finally here... She only needed to say a small, 'Yes'... That's all she needed to do... But, for a woman who has lost her voice so long ago, was never able to muster the strength to say that one word...
Her heart was yelling at her to say, 'Yes'... But, alas, the moment passed...
She had the opportunity to change her destiny but, in the end, the destiny once again won...
She has finally been defeated...
She expected Dev to move on in his life but what she never expected were the questions and the accusations blazing in his amber brown eyes, when she mumbled a small 'Sorry'...
'Sorry' for never being strong or independent enough to be his 'sahara', his life partner and most importantly, for being a source of pain and agony in his life...
She could suffer any amount of pain, even sacrifice herself, if only she could see his eyes shining with happiness..
But, due to her lack of control, she has cost him his one chance to move ahead in his life and finally find his happiness that he craved for, in the form of Nisha...
She saw him devastated and defeated, not because Nisha broke the engagement, like she expected... But, because, he felt that she no longer loved him... He saw him how he knelt down in front of her Sunshine, her Soha... No, their Soha and apologised to her for not being strong enough and going away for some days...
She saw how the price of her silence was paid by the tears of their little Suhana... Her little Sunshine was weeping because she feels that she has lost her father once again...
And, with this, she realised the cost of her silence... It is true that 'silence is golden' but what she forgot was the consequences that came with remaining silent... All of her life, she craved for someone who could decipher her heart and soul, without her a saying a single word...
And, this is why she has left her Sun, isn't it? Because he couldn't hear her silent cries and protect her from the invisible demons chasing her... And, now when he finally learnt to decode her silence, it is her very silence that pushed him away forever...
She became numb but her reverie was finally broken by a ring... Dev has called their Soha to inform her that he is going away for a few days and he apologised to Soha for breaking his promise for spending time with her... In other words, he apologised to Soha for not being strong enough, to be the father that he knows her daughter deserves i.e, perfect..
Throughout her journey, Sona was always aware of the right that Dev had over her heart and her very being... After all, she was the one who gave him the right..
But, for the first time, in her life, she realised that if he was her Sun, then she was also his Sun... If he was the one who held the key to her happiness and then, she was also the one who has the key to his happiness..
They both given each other the same rights, but the only difference is while Dev was aware of his rights, she was completely oblivious to hers...
And, hence, with this realisation finally settling in, she heard the heavens burst open... And, with the drops of rain cleansing her and soothing her tired and broken soul... And, sounds of thunder applauding her and motivating her to finally embrace the 'Khargosh' in her..
She raced across the streets of Delhi, to finally say the three magical words that changed her life forever...
8 years ago, with his 'I love you like a man loves a woman' and her flying across the road to embrace him, their love story with her 'Mr. Aubhodro' began...
And, today, with her proposal and her confession of her love to him, their fairy tale with his 'Ms. Khargosh' will begin...

A/N:
1. @grace When I started this post I never had any idea that this post will take this form... It was just supposed to be an attempt to answer your disappointment after watching June 14th episode...
But, now, I hope that you will be able to find your answer from this story, narrative, or whatever you want to call it...
Like I said in my previous, post, I was tired of being so much logical when it comes to this show... So, this time around, I wanted the post to be a little more... I guess, magical or fairy tale like...
Many of the writers on this thread have mentioned and discussed the love that Sona had for fairy tales and how she had a habit of casting herself as a heroine of her own stories/narratives...
So, in retrospect, I think my above post is more or less an attempt by me to look at the current events from the perspective of Sona, the narrator...
I feel an eerie connection between the Sona that I saw in the current track and the Sona, that I saw during the first promo... The dialogue that Sona said really left a deep impression in my mind and I realised that that dialogue fit the current scenario perfectly...
In retrospect, I feel that if I consider the promo as the origin of this journey, then today's episode (June 15th and also the one on June 16th) will mark the end of this journey... I feel that Sonakshi's story has finally come to a full circle...
As I was saying that I tried to look at the various phases of this story from the eyes of Sona, the narrator...
I sincerely feel that Sona initially casted herself as the damsel in distress and Dev as the Knight-in-Shining Armor since, this is how she must have felt after she realised her feelings for Dev and his care after her accident in the initial phase of this story...
After the confession and their brief courtship, I am pretty sure that she casted herself as the princess while Dev became her prince charming...
But, after subsequent break up and marriage, she casted herself as the hero who conquered his demons and finally found his happily ever after with his love...
I don't think that she ever wished to cast herself as a 'tragic hero' but due to the hardships that she faced after the divorce, I feel that she started believing that sacrificed her love for the greater good (self-respect of her family)...
This is why the tone of this short narrative is little bit tragic, since I was trying to paint the events happening in Sonakshi's life as a 'tragic heroine'...
2. And, can someone explain to me what the hell happened in the last 5 minutes of today's episode???
I mean, for nearly 3/4 of the episode, Sonakshi didn't even utter a single word, apart from 'Sorry' and then, in the last segment, she was dancing like she has just realised her love for Dev for the first time...
There was a huge disconnect between the last part and rest of the episode... And, while I am used to seeing logistical errors in this show, but the last part is too big a mistake to not come into notice of the writers, editors or the directors of the show...
This is why, I feel that the last segment was intentionally inserted, since too many things are confusing like why Sona is saying words like 'mantra' or 'jhaap' and the entire Bose family excited for Sona to finally propose to Dev...
Asha is all calm when she was furious with Sona's silence few minutes back and nobody even know the current location of Dev...
Somehow, I feel that this last segment was supposed to be part of tomorrow's episode (June 16th one), and today's last segment was more about Sona's realisation or monologue but I feel that they swapped places to increase the drama/ suspense on what has happened in between...
I think, we will, in any case, receive our answers in tomorrow's episode...
3. I hoped that all of you liked my attempt of writing a slightly different post... To be bit frank, I am feeling slightly nervous regarding all of your reactions...
Anyways, please feel free to express your opinions... I don't know whether I should post this in the main forums... But, anyways, that's a decision for tomorrow...
Can't wait to hear from all of you...
