If they had shown Sonakshi and Asha coming into the Bose house and Sonakshi quietly retreating to her room and reminising some lost moments and her folly, the transformation and her renewed excitement could be justified. Poor direction. Such scenes are the trigger point to subltlely give an indication that the show is probably ending! 😕

I think with Bijoy fetching the umbrella, what they wanted to show was that Bijoy still wants to protect her, but Sonakshi will no longer be under his influence.

Its obvious that they have edited out an important conversation between asha nd sona. Suhana had a monologue saying' hamari plan kaam kar gayi dida'. I mean what's the rush in showing the confession when cv' s apparently weren't targeting the 14th june mark. The slow nd subtle build up always has its own beauty but the makers are hell bent on jumping hills.

I always feel tht when i have nothing good to say its better to say nothing at all but last few episodes are a bit disappointing.

@suyash... i might be repeating it for the nth time.. but it's a absolute delight to read your posts. I can totally understand the dilemma your teachers were facing regarding your write ups during your academic years. Always leaves me wanting more. But today even your post couldnt help me overcome the disconnect.

Hope today's episode exceeds our expectations. I want to see the forum buzzing with activity over the weekend.. fingers crossed

Suyash. Brilliant write up. It was a pleasure to read. The last 5 minutes you are talking about is something that I have been trying to explain the last few days. But am not able to as it is not that straight forward. 😃 . As you said Sonakshi came a full circle in today's episode. The answer to your question lies in the memories that she remembered. Before Dev came and confessed that he loves her, she is shown to tell Elena how much she loves Dev frequently, almost every day. During Natasha track Sonakshi is shown to share what she really feels with Elena every time ending with kind of disappointment. The talks at those times almost always ended with comparing herself to Natasha. This made her believe that she should become someone like Natasha if she is to be with Dev.

When Dev came and proposed to her, it was kind of a dream come true for her. But she kept feeling that she was living a dream. She pretty much keeps repeating that. During their courtship phase, Sonakshi is not shown to talk with Elena about how much she loves him, it is more about how much Dev loves her. When he kept postponing the revelation of their relationship coupled with Ishwari and maami's taunts, she became disheartened. For her it was like her fears were true. That she was not "good enough" for him, that is why Dev was having second thoughts. But he had his own dilemmas. When he came to tell that Ishwari agreed, she was surprised and couldn't believe her ears. She had expected to the contrary. She was not so confident about Ishwari's approval at that time. The events that followed kind of confirmed her suspicions. She looked for support from her family especially her father, but didn't really get any when Bijoy asked her to rethink the alliance. Her baba's words made her feel sure of Ishwari's disapproval as well as shook her trust in herself. That it was as she feared, that fairy tales were not for her.

When Dev broke up with her citing his mom's disapproval of her, for her it was like her nightmare come true, like waking up from a dream. At first she couldn't believe it was happening, but then accepted it saying to herself that it was her fault to have dreamed big. When she came back she hoped to once again get her baba's support. But that didn't happen. What happened was quite opposite. Bijoy told her that she should just get over it, that she was above such petty things. Although she was the youngest who at that moment needed her family in her most vulnerable moment, Bijoy here forced her to be the head of the family and kind of become the eldest. She shut her feelings and told herself that fairy tales were not for her, it was for small girls like how kids in US stop believing in Santa Claus when they become 7 - 8 yrs old. She told herself to grow up.

When she got married, once again thought that maybe she was wrong about not being the right choice for Dev. But every incident and event that followed started to break that trust in herself again. The whole time during her marriage she is shown to dress and behave like Natasha. The way she looked at it was Ishwari disliked Sonakshi but had liked Natasha. Ishwari had told Dev that Natasha was the right choice for him. Dev himself tells this when he comes to Bose house before engagement when he was confused regarding his feelings. She hoped to gain Ishwari's approval that way. Since she was not herself, she didn't really trust Dev's love. She thought that if she was herself, Dev wouldn't love her. That she had to maintain Natasha persona to continue to have his love. She started getting disconnected with her fairy tale. She stayed that way til now.

When Dev said "haan" for Nisha's question regarding his love for Sonakshi was unexpected for her. She had thought that Dev felt he had settled for second best and not the Best for him. But his haan told a different story. The other things followed also pointed in the same direction. That all her fears we're unfounded. That Dev had never thought of her as anything less than his equal. That he had accepted her wholeheartedly and not her projected image of "perfection". All the fbs are something that shows her, her fairy tale dream, rain dance where they became kids, him loving her flaws and shortcomings yet making her feel special, complete and perfect. Where she thought he had never understood her found that not only he had understood her but had been part of that understanding. It was like a batti jali moment for her very similar to Dev realizing that he loves Sonakshi only when his sisters asked him to look deep within himself.

If Dev had a monologue in front of the mirror, Sonakshi did it in front of her house dancing in gay abandon. She did not feel that she needed to hide herself anymore. And usually the youngest of the family is a kid no matter how old they are. I am saying from personal experience and not intended to hurt anyone. 😆 . Like the time she eats chips and drinks soda thinking about Dev and Natasha's engagement. She at that minute forgot everything else similar to how Dev was during courtship and marriage period. In both these times he is shown to act like a kid, not like a suave and successful business man. Like the time he says "who's the man" after hitting the golf ball without realizing that his secretary is in his room or all those times when he asks her to do things stubbornly. She had finally become free of her self imposed exile. Hence she acted the way she did.

@Suyaash...Aww, my sweet brother...During the weekends, when my boys are here, it's very difficult to be active in the forum; that's why I try not to login to the forum during weekends. But your this one post couldn't stop me and I am really overwhelmed to see you took this much effort to calm me down. Thank you my dear. It's not that I got disconnected with the feelings of Dev or Sona that I got disappointed. And your narration made me feel more for Sona, because I have some of that traits. It wasbecause I lost faith in the soulmate relation which I believed they had. And to be frank, like Soha I also had complete faith in Dev that, at any cost he will not the engagement happen, if not for him or Sona...at least for Soha. When it broke I couldn't control myself. But now, I am ok after Nisha gave the required dose to both of these akudu bokas...that, they should not play with others lives...Well done Nisha.
@Shaavi & Lakshmi...I agree with your statement that Dev was a person who will resort to destroy himself, once he felt that Sona didn't want him. We have seen it already in the beginning after the leap. And proceeding with the engagement was a part of it; I agree...but what I will agree to disagree is Soha would understand & support him in this. That would have never happened. We have seen her telling Ishwari what Ishwari will be losing if Dev married someone else - that she will never ever talk to Ishwari in her lifetime. We have also seen how Soha had strictly communicated with Dev & Sona that she don't want another mummy in her life. So, for sure Soha would have either stopped the engagement or if the engagement happened, like last time Soha would have chosen to distance herself from her parents. At any cost, she would not have been happy if she saw how it affected her mother. Proof is how she turned gloomy after Ishwari mentioned after her call with Sona, how sad & tired Sona was sounding. It would also might make her recollect what Sona told her earlier - that, Papa didn't know how to keep her Mama happy. So, still my take is that, Dev should have taken an initiative at least thinking of Soha.

Cya later with my replies to other posts...Take care & bye.

@grace ... agree with ur pov
I too thought Dev being Dev dixit would have thought of how to avoid the engagement
Was surprised as he looked as if he would go ahead with it as there was no choice
Didn't think he would have promised Suhaana without a concrete plan. He says he could do anything for soha.
Also both these people didn't think about Soha at all whereas their whole arrangements was bcoz of her zidd

@ Grace

I disagree with you again. Why Soha will understand Dev this time I want to elaborate. When Soha threatened to go to Calcutta she assumed that both her parents are depriving her of her right to be with them. She had placed both of them on same level.

But after living with her father for a considerable period she understood him quite well. When Dev revealed his plan she was extremely happy to know that her father desparately wanted her mom back in his life. She valued his effort that is honest and heartfelt.

Soha understood her mother's stand when Sonakshi took away the rings . Her mother definitely upset her . She could see no sign of reconciliation from Sona's side.Soha is intelligent enough to understand that despite her father's maximum effort to reach her mother, she remained frozen, emotionless and unconcerned towards the attempt.

So God forbid if Nisha did not step back and if Dev helplessly married her Soha will blame her mother not her father. I am so sure of that.

And why should Dev take the initiative always? Didn't he admit he still loves her? I don't want him to do anything more than that. He did the right thing to distance himself from every one except Soha.

She has decided to live her life. She wants to soak in this rain and go seek her lover. Her lover lies drenched in that rain, oblivious to it, looking back at the events that led to this day. Sonakshi aayegee to Dev ka man khud hee bheeg jayega

Bijoy is ready to join team devakshi. He is celebrating with a pizza (where is Gunni? Asha is not at home so no one even cooks food?)... This is what I love about Bijoy. He is so straightforward and easy to please (Asha and Ishwari's appeal to his fear of losing sona for ever (and Ishwari's reference to having lost dev herself) did the trick). Ever so keen to protect his princess... rushing to get his lucky umbrella. And bang, well done makers, for introducing the next phase of the story so subtly. Sonakshi still struggles to see how her relationships with Dev and Bijoy are not exclusive. She yearns to be a good bahu and biwi in her quest to be Mrs Dixit. She forgets that she does not have to compartmentalise her relationship with her dad and her life-partner either.

The only time Sonakshi felt she wasn't good enough for Dev was post accident for a few weeks. This was primarily due to the attention Dev was giving to Natasha. She was missing the point that Dev was seeing Natasha as a business associate. Elena played a key role in helping Sonakshi identify that difference. The only reason Sonakshi wasn't so confident was because of the profile of grooms she was meeting. They used to be Mr Goody two shoes doctors, bankers and the likes. The ever so confident, quirky, angry young man Mr Dixit was not in her reach she thought. But that inferiority complex from Natasha went away once Dev confessed his love for her. Ishwari never approved of Natasha any more than any other girl. She only went ahead with that proposal because Dev valued that deal a lot.

Sonakshi's problems started with the first break-up and more importantly how it happened and what happened after that. She was right in her assessment that Ishwari did not approve of their relationship and because Dev did not pick that nor did he heed to her caution, she became very alert of how much damage that can do to her marriage. Post wedding, all her efforts were to fix Dev's problems (and she said that the other day to Nisha) to make her marriage a success.. It had nothing to do with Bijoy.

In S2, Sonakshi dresses and behaves like she thinks rich people do. And even that has started going down.

Dev's haan to Nisha was a shock to Sonakshi because of the public nature of that event. Dev does not do this sort of thing too well publicly. For him to have to do that was an embarrassment for Sonakshi herself. She felt so bad that it came to this. Sonakshi's perplexing isn't to do with Dev's acceptance of her. She does not expect Dev to stand up for her. Sonakshi clearly said how she feels about their relationship. Its intense. They love and hate very deeply and she does not want to involve Suhana in that.

Yesterday, she realized that whether she likes it or not, Suhana is involved. That ring conversation with the kids was about that. She has now realized, that like Nisha said, its all out in the open now. Might as well let go and embrace the love. Her fears got addressed by the people themselves. Only then she was able to gather the courage to tell Dev she is ready for him. (This is why she was sat like a statue in IN. It was too much to process). She is ready to say what she has been holding back for 7 years!!! ❤️

So here's the other very interesting thing about this track. As soon as people are starting to realise their contribution in making devakshi's marriage a dog's dinner.. They start fixing it and assume that they were the only problem.
As soon as Asha saw a spark of love she started pushing Sonakshi.

As soon as Ishwari realized how she had damaged his relationship, she started pushing Dev & Sona to get married

And then you have Bijoy, who thinks that he was the only hurdle and now that he has given a nod, he can start celebrating with Pizza

Mami and vicky think they can break this relationship by getting Dev another bride.

Yet neither have Devakshi separated (in the real sense as a couple) nor are they together yet. How little does the qayanat know about this love. Sonakshi is right.. This is a very intense love... No one factor can make or break it!

In short , wat v saw yesterday was Sona's deewangi. Devakshi first rain dance repeat also coming with role reversal. Yesterday i cudn digest deewangi of Sona compared to that of Dev's but i think the coming episodes will take us bak to our old KRPKAB with " tu muchme muchse zyada hai " .

Amazing posts Shaavi and DQ 👏
@aarcha: Yup, it did look like deewangi..😆

On a serious note, I expected better realization scenes. They could have shown flashbacks of good memories from season 2 and parallel of season 1 for that purpose. Anyway, what is done is done. I am excited for today's episode!
