I am happy Dev is thinking in a right direction. He did not overlook Iswari's crime even when he is on a guilt trip . He did blame himself for not sharing his mother's tension but then he also thought about the family that got effected due to Iswari's act. He did not waste a minute and got himself involved in finding out the whereabouts of the family. Who better than Khatri can give him the information? So Dev Dixit in action. I just loved it.

May be buying shares also prove to be a wise step otherwise why is Dev unperturbed? Dev likes to take risks. He has the spirit of a true businessman. He is not afraid of loses. But I feel some important turn is related to this shares issue. Otherwise why did the CVs bring this shares issue amidst such emotional drama?

The scene that brought hope and delight is Ofcourse their conversation in the night. It certainly helped in easing the tension that enveloped Dev ever since he realised the secret of Iswari. Sonakshi did her part by trying to change Dev's mood with her breezy and lighthearted lines . Both would have continued further but still inhibited to express their wish.

Sonakshi waited Dev just stammered her name but she already left. no problem. They both can interact anytime and continue their comradiare. That is a big relief for both of them. Hence Sonakshi again went to him in the morning and helped him read his mind. In fact she channelised his thoughts in a right direction and Dev just needs that only. Rest he can handle by himself.

I hope GKB won't get a hint of Iswari's secret. It will just ruin the effort of Sona and Dev.

Felt bad for Golu but can't blame Soha or Dev. They both are so absorbed in each other that Golu is unable to divert them from each other. It may take time for the father and daughter to look beyond themselves.I hope Sona will play an active role in making Golu understand the fact that Dev still loves him despite Soha in his life.

That, laxmi, according to me, was Dev being Ishwari's son. He was "giving back" what isn't his.

Nothing can compensate the damage done to that family because of Iswari. Dev knows that. He himself is guilty for reaching such heights by ruining the happiness of others. But still his thought is nice. He would trace them ,make Iswari beg pardon and try to do whatever he can for their sake.
I don't know if you had seen the old movie Dushman . Rajesh Khanna kills Mina kumari's husband in an accident by default. He goes to their house lives with them bearing their hatred, works in their land and helps them reestablish themselves. In the end the family realises his goodness and forgives him.

Dev never allow that family to suffer if he traces them. I hope he will be successful in his endeavour.

Since Dev does not know the fact I mean about the theft I don't demean his hardwork whether in his studies or in establishing his business. He deserves the position where he is today.

How do guys get such ideas. 😭 Yes its true that the family got ruined because of theft but that "sum" of money was not alone responsible for Dev's success. That's what Sona tried to make him understand.
N why will Dev let his family suffer because of his guilt.

Precisely that is what I. Want to say. He climbed the ladder of success with his hardwork and talent. Money won't buy success. Iswari may have used the money for his education but his business is the outcome of his effort. Why should he forego that?

charu i know the success dev achieved is d result of his hard work n not some theft ...its his hard earned money and he shud not think of surrendering it ...but seeing his state of mind this thought crossed my mind ...sona was also explaining him the same thing ..theft or no theft he would have been here only ..

Oh yes his guilt :( But he is not alone, like he can't put his family again to same position which was years ago, specially when all are dependent on him.

Finally, all the episodes of this week and this month have been aired and with this, I feel that we have successfully entered the second chapter of this interesting phase in our Devakshi's life...
This week's episodes, especially the last three ones were definitely confusing, if you are looking at things in a traditional sense but I felt they were actually quite natural, if you look at the sequence of events which led to their realizations...

But, this post is not an analysis of this week's episodes or its characters...I will most likely present it in the weekends, or early next week...

When I watch a TV show, what I look for the most, are the moments that are being shown on the screen.. If I can connect with the moments, then, it means it is able to evoke certain emotions inside me...

These moments are the ones that allow me to connect with the characters as well as the story..

Since, a TV show is a continuous process and due to the tight schedule of these shows, I don't expect a lot of consistency, especially when it comes to timelines and other small editing errors.. This is, especially the case of a lot of Indian TV soaps...

Until and unless, I am watching something like Sherlock or Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones or even, Humsafar (all of them are great shows).. The reason being that even before the show has been aired, most of the episodes or at least, the story part of it are complete...

Each episode and season is heavily interconnected with each other and missing one episode can actually matter... In these kind of series, the most important thing is the story and the manner in which it needs to be narrated, so that the story can leave maximum impact on the viewer...

On the other end of the spectrum, there are TV series like Friends or even Sarabhai vs Sarabhai (can't wait for its start), where there is a story but it is very loosely interconnected with each other...

You can understand a story better if you watch all the episodes but the prime focus is on making each episode entertaining... So, each episode, in itself, is self contained...

But, shows like Castle and Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi are considered to fall in the middle category.. While there is not only a story to tell but... Both the story and the general plot are considered to be an important and integral part of the show's essence and hence, its success..

(Devakshi reminds me of Caskett so much (shipper name of the lead protagonists of Castle) before they ruined it in the eighth and thankfully, the final season)

It is not the most important thing and hence, the narrative is not tightly woven and hence, can be found slightly loose in certain areas... But, this also means there is slightly more flexibility attached to the delivery of the plot.. That is why, you could see this show running, even in the absence of some key characters and still able to churn out some good and compelling episodes...

What I mean to say, looking at each episode with a microscopic lens, will only cause you endless frustration and anger at the sudden inexplicable twists and turns... But, if you start look at this show, from a macroscopic level, you will be able to find connections and parallels quite easily...

That is why, I tend to present an analysis, after watching nearly all of the week's episodes.. It gives me both time to connect and make sense of the story...

And, frankly, I liked this week's episodes.. They might be slightly confusing but this week left me some moments which still manage to bring a smile to my face... I like the lack of over-the-top drama or huge confrontations.. I love the subtle way that they are showing changes in the mental state of the characters...

We easily notice huge moments but forget to notice the words spoken in a calm and composed conversation because we expect the most important moments to be preceded with drum beats..

We all easily remember the confession scene because it was highly anticipated.. We knew, weeks in advance, that the confession is coming.. We were waiting for it... Or, even Dev ki Deewangi episodes due to the buzz around those episodes...

But, this week was not so much about being loud and expressive but about being subtle, understandings and realisations and communicating through simple but significant gestures...

There was so many hidden things and events, which I felt was significant for the growth of both the protagonists as well as other side characters and the relationships shared between them...

I believe that the Creatives know the general outline of the story and where they need to end this story as well as the various key checkpoints in their story... But, their manner of implementing and narrating their story will be not be as consistent and will change as per as the circumstances...

It is like a rally race, where every racer knows the finish line but the roads that they travel will differ due to the factors like endurance of car, weather, road conditions, skill of driver, etc...

So, please enjoy the journey, instead of worrying too much about the destination because in the end, this is the things which matters the most...

-Suyash.
