What is manhandling? I am no expert on the language. However, I would say it's "unauthorised" use of force on another human/animal/thing
It doesn't matter what we as viewers think. Sona the character in the story didn't think it was manhandling. I tell you why. Sona had no business going into a house-guest's room to help them wear a piece of clothing. If she was so worried about the drama that might ensue, she could have let her father and the said house-guest handle it. Or, she could have sent jatin to help. Or taken Gunni or soha or Dadi or jatin with her if she was concerned about the man-in-need's intention. She walked into that room making an informed choice. She knows how this person behaves around her. She didn't have to go. If she thought he was manhandling her she should have walked out. If he chooses to create a scene, let her father deal with it because it's her father who started it in the first place. If she was worried her brother's special day will be spoilt, she could have taken her brother with her in that room for 5 minutes. It only takes 5 minutes to tie a Dhoti
But... Sona did none of that. Why? Because the heart wants what the heart wants. Anyone who has had some sexual flings will tell you this kind of act can and will sometimes happen. Dev and Sonakshi are bottling up all that and it's coming out in this manner. It's called seduction. Why was Dev seducing sona and why was she letting him seduce her? Do I need to answer that?
