That's what shocks me as a woman. This utter lack of loyalty and judgemental attitude towards fellow women.

I have my reasons for skipping that thread. But the main one is that one of their rules are that you can't call a spade a spade. So even if Dev is behaving like a jackass and Sonakshi is behaving with dignity, you still can't call him out on it. However, that is not the case the other way around. Sorry, I will call as I see it. So I respect their rules and stay out of it.

But I am sure that is no skin off their nose whether I visit that thread or not. So we happily coexist.

Tia- I do see a lot of biased views against independent women. Not sure why? Some men, which is understandable, but some of them are women, who are educated, who have the luxury of internet , have the intelligence to voice their thoughts. I'd assume life has given them enough to be able to discern right from wrong.. lets call a spade a spade.
why don't you post on the analysis thread? I see so much clarity in your thoughts.

I'd like to say something totally unrelated to today's episode. But I feel I should point out the hypocrisy of expectations from a man and a woman.

Since tomorrow (today in India) is International Women's Day, I feel this is somewhat appropriate.

I have read posts and comments where people felt Dev was shortchanged by putting what Sonakshi have vs. what Dev have and since Sonakshi has more than Dev, so of course the scale should be balanced by loading Dev's side with sympathy!!!

Now that seems a balanced, equal concept on paper. But is it really?

But let's break it down.

What does Dev have?

Why he has his family. You know the one for whom he always shoved Sonakshi's need on the back burner and still doing so. He has his mother who was his Goddess whom he still conveniently absolves of all blame and pass on her share of blame on Sonakshi.

In that sense, Dev have the family he chose and Sonakshi has the family she chose. So every thing is balanced, yes?

But Dev's family is not loving and supportive like Sonakshi's family.

So? What can be done about it? He had an option to be part of that family which he lost because he always prioritized his family over everyone including his wife. Now whining about having a shitty family when he realized that his Goddess betrayed him is the same as someone throwing a diamond away for glass and then whining to the jewelers to pay the same price as the diamond for that piece of glass because now he has less.

That's not how real world works.

Well, Sonakshi has Soha.

Dev had Sonakshi's beloved cousin and her child whom his family forbade to keep contact with her family who loved her like their own daughter and he didn't once said to Elena not to break her relationship with her family or tell his family not to force Elena to pick sides on his expense. So no fair treatment there. He was perfectly happy to have Elena and her son exclusively pick his side just like he was happy to accept his mother's exclusive attention knowing his mother deprived his sisters at his expense. Yet Sonakshi is expected to treat Dev with fairness.

Why? Who did he treat fairly to deserve fair treatment himself? Even today I didn't see him introducing Golu to his Masi while he happily introduced Soha to her Masi? He knew how close Elena and Sonakshi were. Then why wasn't he held responsible for hogging Golu's fawning all to himself?

But Dev gave Elena a choice when Sonakshi came back to town. It's not his fault that she did not take it.

Sonakshi also gave Soha a choice which she didn't take at that time. But the moment Soha expressed her wish to see Dev, the way she wanted to meet Dev - Sonakshi honoured everyone of her wish. How are we still blaming Sonakshi?

Soha is pining for her dad. A good family will understand her pain.

Elena has mentioned many times that she is pining for her family and want to meet them, yet no one is thinking about her (not even Dev who apparently had taken over Elena's brother's position).

But Bose family was expected to understand Soha's unspoken plea to meet her father and make it happen. Even Saurabh was held responsible for it.

Soha was held "not normal" like Golu because she was not fawning over Dev. Had Golu turned against Dev, he will be Devil's spawn in an instant.

Soha was blamed for being more loyal to Sonakshi. Well of course she will be. Even if Sonakshi tries, can she make Golu more loyal to her than Dev? She has twice the relationship with Golu than Dev. She is his Masi and ex-chachi. She can't. Why? Because Golu's every memory is entwined with Dev, just like Soha's every memory is entwined with Sonakshi.

So no, Bose family didn't need to brainwash Soha for her deciding to make Dev earn his position as a father.

Now Sonakshi even have a handsome friend. Not fair.

Friends are not luck of the draw. Dev had numerous girlfriends. No one had stopped him from making friends even with any of them or even marry any of them.

Dev was heartbroken and single, so he was just trying to forget Sonakshi. He actually still loves Sonakshi.

Great. But how is that anyone else's problem? If he can't get over Sonakshi and by dating random woman in random hotel rooms help him forget Sonakshi, great.

The same way if having a great family and great friend or even a life partner, makes Sonakshi move on in her life, why is it such a crime?

Sonakshi is sorted only because she had Soha.

In the first break up, she didn't have Soha. She was still sorted because her family was beside her even though she still loved Dev and wanted to go back to him..

This time, she hated Dev and never wanted to see his face, why wouldn't she get over her pain with her family's support?

Soha was a miracle which enriched her life. But Sonakshi never needed a crutch to find the meaning of her own life.

Dev is showing his pain through his eyes and his harassment. Sonakshi is cold without any feelings.

So? Is there any written document which says everyone has to express their feelings the same way? In that case, Sonakshi is respecting Dev by minding her own business, where is the same respect from Dev's side?

Ironically, the accusations that were thrown at Sonakshi for not being able to be a mother, for being a gold digger, a home wrecker who pretended to care for her husband's family, was granted by God after she left the people who accused her.

It seems God believes in poetic justice to grant her every single thing she was mocked, insulted, humiliated for after she walked out from a toxic environment - Money, success, friend, family's loyal support every step of the way and a miracle child.

Yet, God didn't grant Dev true love a second time which he was told that he doesn't deserve because he mocked true love.

May be to be worthy of blessings, you have to deserve it and work for it. Nothing comes free, not even blessings and good luck. Karma pays for them as reward/punishment for our actions.

It's a well analysed post Tia.👏👏
I am of the opinion that Dev is generally favoured more by the fandom.Dev's sufferings are highlighted whereas Sona's sufferings are conveniently forgotten.

Dev's character is unsympathetic to the core but due to the tendency of confusing actors with the characters they play he gets sympathy.

If we compare Dev's character to that of Ritvick or Jatin then they are far better and stronger characters than Dev.Yet they were put down mercilessly and mocked.People tried to find faults in them and when they couldn't they decided to undermine them.
There were a lot of talks about Ritvick being negative and Jatin's friendly gestures were misunderstood.

Sona's case is no different. She is called heartless, manipulative, egoistic and what not. Some of the comments about her on YouTube and twitter are appalling.
But I find it really funny that at the end of the day these folks want the very same Sona to return to Dev and romance him. Why??

If Sona is such a bad lover/wife and Soha is such a bad daughter then why do they want Sona and Soha to return to Dev?? Surely the great Dev Dixit can find someone better.

Tia - Oh my goodness, Tia! Your beautiful mind is surely going to be the death of my some day. 😳 THAT WAS MIND BLOWING POST! 👏

Although, you all barely leave anything for me to contribute but I'd like chip in something here. I'm personally not the kind of a woman who believe, 'Puri mard/aadmi zaat hi ghatiya hoti hai' nor would I ever be able to get a man who believes, 'Yeh aurat zaat hi ghatiya hoti hai'. Simply put, I'm a believer in 'Har insaan kisi ke haq mein acha hota hai toh kisi ke haq mein bura'.

So, when I see (whether in reality or fictional world) women kind demeaning women kind/race specifically when the said person isn't at fault or basically even someone irrespective of their gender supporting something that is clearly wrong (although, one's definition of wrong or right might differ), I'm rendered speechless.

In KRPKAB context, Dev is an incredible son (as in the kind of respect, preservence, love, dedication and loyalty he has towards his mother is something any parent would love to have for themselves), he's an exceptional brother (almost been a father figure to his sisters, taking care of all their needs and always protecting them), he's obviously a good businessman and boss, might have been a good friend (we haven't seen him in this light yet), he's a generally a decent human being BUT BUT BUT he's been a terrible, terrible husband and that IS an undeniable truth.

Now, let's look at Sona. She's been a great daughter, a great sister, a great friend, a great mother and tried her best to be a good wife (if not a great one). How are we at fault if out of all the given opportunities and chances Sona has excelled 90% of the time and Dev, may be, 30-40% of the time?

In that sense, Dev has been good in his family's haq and not in Sona's haq while Sona has successfully managed to be good in everyone's right/haq.

It's totally beyond me when this place is harshly judged and mocked just because we give credit when and where its due and call someone out when there's a need to.

LOL @ Ishwari's double standards. She had such huge issues with Dev sitting in the pooja because of Sonakshi but is so elated that Dev relented today thanks to Soha 😆 This show does such a good job at ruining harmless/sweet/endearing things. Like besan ka halwa and kachori. And a dadi wanting to feed her poti. I personally think there is nothing wrong with the wish per se cos a lot of grandmoms find happiness in these small things- like feeding the grandkids, dropping them off to school, preparing their favorite dishes, telling them bedtime stories etc. These are all really small things which give immense happiness to grandparents. Unfortunately, the writers of this show make everything look obsessive and controlling. And they have destroyed a lot of characters to such an extent that its impossible to look at any of their actions normally 😆 And for god's sake, can they focus on Dev and Sonakshi as parents for once? Why does everything have to be about what Ishwari feels? Its getting ridiculous tbh..

Feeding the kids.. What a debate we need to have now on this?😉😆
Almost Everyone loves to be pampered.. Be it by their parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, spouse, even by kids.. 😉 It all comes with the purity and the genuine love for it...❤️

And not everyone makes a habit out of it or make an intentional attempt towards it.. And with any hidden agenda or some motive behind it spoils the whole authenticity of it.. Thw unadulterated version of it is what makes it more adorable. 😉

The point is I can still understand her issues with Soha calling Dev Mr. Dixit. She is old school so she is bound to react. But if Dev doesn't have a problem with the arrangement and is almost begging her to stop creating an issue out of it, a normal loving grandmother would shut up right away. Ditto with the feeding issue. I get her desire to feed her poti and pamper her but when she refused, she should have just let it go instead of sulking and ruining everything for people around. This is where the writers falter. Its one thing to be a loving/conservative grandmom and completely another to be a narcissistic, controlling one. Am convinced the writers of this show equate love to obsession and have no idea where to draw the line..

Unfortunately I've been around some people who have successfully put a facade of a tech savvy person on a very conservative mind. The society is such that it blames the woman only because it expects so much from her??!! What even!
These TRP aunties and the anti Sona 'educated' people will never change cuz that's what they're conditioned to believe since the beginning. You start something revolutionary on TV and the next moment they'll be changing to some other channel.

P.S: Something funny I read yesterday, 'Truth hurts only cuz it has a point.' And we're all hurting on this bitter truth and the fact that TV is customized acc to the audience' likes and not to what is right!

P.P.S : A very happy women's day to all the lovely ladies out there!😊

Tia you nearly lost Versace glasses. I am not sure whether to laugh or curse you. Versace girl! You never lose branded stuff😡😆

@PK omg! Take my heartfelt congratulations🤗

I honestly don't think (or maybe too naive) it's a anti shaheer or anti Erica thing about taking sides. Shaheer does such a good job that all of us do feel bad for dev. And honestly this is how serials go, we are too sympathetic towards opposite sex than our own gender. So no shocker there that many shield dev like he's some ray of sunshine and bad mouth Sona. And now they got legit ammunition about Soha and now harping divorce was both parties fault, how heartless she is. Now it's a comparison child>>> poverty/homeless state or homeless >>>>child?😆

And to the moron who says Sonakshi is bad spot in name of Bengali. Did they forget Bengal gave birth to fighters of this country to lead the movement for independence? If in 2k17 being Bengali woman means doormat than it's better not to introduce one self as Bengali. For idiots like then talking for women or even uttering the F words is like a gaali. They are also another Ishwari, never broadening their minds to see outside. And then they will cry foul and be like ooh it's a show why getting hyper. Bitch please.😵
