Sorry wanted to share
I am really upset with this news
A neighbour of mine was not able to give birth and was going through several treatment and she was able to conceive and even gave birth but died just after giving birth not even able to see her son face
And you know what that family don't want to cry or do her shradh they simply got their body cut I don't knew about this when my mother told ingot to know that after dieing person are not burnt
And the reason they gave that they want that their child birth date SHOULD not be celebrated crying everyone even her husband
And moreover you know what they are planning for second marriage to give the mother love and even name to the child
The forum member who talk about fertility treatment realise how it's really effect
Till today I was only sentimental and reading here there I got information but when my mother told to me today then I understood
As I have shared before that I asked my mother about this serial and her response shocked me my mother who is totally in believing that girl should do everything for relation gave response that sona is a gold and Dev or Dixit are not even not coal
Today she told me this thing because she was also shocked when not only 20 days has passed they are talking about second marriage and even changing mother's name from their child my mother shared with me
Because I will share it anywhere else they will not understand only find other way to justify Dev by saying that he only agreed to satisfy his mother otherwise he was in no mood and blah blah blah

Husna, I have the same belief as you. I don't hate all men and support all women. After all I am married to an amazing man. I have seen incredible men being taken advantage of by cunning women. I definitely don't support the woman in that instance.

But I reserve my judgement on case to case basis and make my judgement on a level ground where both sides has to start from the same platform. I won't give either of the gender a headstart because of their gender.

Unfortunately, the society gives men already a headstart the moment they are born. Provided they earn a living to take care of their family, somehow every other obligations/responsibility gets paid off with that one currency.

On the other hand, the society loads expectations on woman the day they are born - starting from her every action scrutinized because she is carrying the honour of the family on her dainty shoulder. Why? Why would she carry anyone's honour on her shoulder except her own? Every human being should be held responsible for their own honour, their own dignity. Rest of the family can carry their own individual honour on their head.

Because today is International Women's Day, I wanted to appreciate the women and their contribution. I wanted to remind everyone that they deserve no less than men and that they are the origin of all humankind.

I wanted to let you know ladies that how much I personally appreciate you. You come from all walks of life, from every background, from different countries, but when I see you, I see one united front. I see intelligence, compassion, warmth, strength, passion and I call that womanhood. We are all women. 👏

Tia - Oh my goodness, Tia! Your beautiful mind is surely going to be the death of my some day. 😳 THAT WAS MIND BLOWING POST! 👏

Although, you all barely leave anything for me to contribute but I'd like chip in something here. I'm personally not the kind of a woman who believe, 'Puri mard/aadmi zaat hi ghatiya hoti hai' nor would I ever be able to get a man who believes, 'Yeh aurat zaat hi ghatiya hoti hai'. Simply put, I'm a believer in 'Har insaan kisi ke haq mein acha hota hai toh kisi ke haq mein bura'.

So, when I see (whether in reality or fictional world) women kind demeaning women kind/race specifically when the said person isn't at fault or basically even someone irrespective of their gender supporting something that is clearly wrong (although, one's definition of wrong or right might differ), I'm rendered speechless.

In KRPKAB context, Dev is an incredible son (as in the kind of respect, preservence, love, dedication and loyalty he has towards his mother is something any parent would love to have for themselves), he's an exceptional brother (almost been a father figure to his sisters, taking care of all their needs and always protecting them), he's obviously a good businessman and boss, might have been a good friend (we haven't seen him in this light yet), he's a generally a decent human being BUT BUT BUT he's been a terrible, terrible husband and that IS an undeniable truth.

Now, let's look at Sona. She's been a great daughter, a great sister, a great friend, a great mother and tried her best to be a good wife (if not a great one). How are we at fault if out of all the given opportunities and chances Sona has excelled 90% of the time and Dev, may be, 30-40% of the time?

In that sense, Dev has been good in his family's haq and not in Sona's haq while Sona has successfully managed to be good in everyone's right/haq.

It's totally beyond me when this place is harshly judged and mocked just because we give credit when and where its due and call someone out when there's a need to.

Sometimes a thought crosses my mind that the freedom that I enjoy today is because some women and men over the years have continuously pushed the envelope, have not been satisfied with just what was handed out, continuously fought for me and other women when they could have just sat back and accepted the prevalent norm.
My heart and soul goes out to them today. So a big thanks from me for being unreasonable, dissatisfied, angry.

Thank you to all you girls here for being you.

Happy women's Day!

Absolutely true.. The thought that we have now as a woman has not come easy and the opportunities that we are garnering now calling some as easy, were never easy once.. It's a collective work and a range of social movements emphasizing on various targets and views.. Yes, what we have now should really be appreciated as Thanksgiving to those behind it 👏and ensure that we celebrate it for the future women👍🏼.. Because somewhere someone is still not out of that old school of thoughts and it could spread again easily.. 😊

OMG... Such a horrific way to treat a woman as if she was just a vessel carrying the baby. Now her broken carcass can be thrown out and her entire identity can be wiped out. But while that is an extreme case, isn't that mentality shown on screen?

I haven't seen Ishwari apologize to Sona or Dev for turning Sona away, but for turning away Soha who happened to be on her mother's arms. Or Dev apologizing to Sonakshi for his mother's manipulation. Nope. Instead all is forgotten and forgiven between the duo even though the wronged party is still Sonakshi and Soha.

And I yet to see Dev giving Sonakshi her due respect as the mother who raised this amazing little girl who is charming everyone with her manners and behaviour. Nope, he is taking credit there which he doesn't deserve while insulting her mother.

Not once he asked Sonakshi how she coped being in debt, homeless, pregnant and jobless with her whole family's responsibility on her shoulder. But he wanted to ask Soha her 0-6 years experience. She says that she doesn't remember 0-2, but that part Dev doesn't want to know. Why would he? Then he will have to hear Sonakshi's struggle for seven years which will then give her also a hard past just like his. Which means he can't use his past as extra brownie points anymore for him and his mother to justify their actions.

Welcome Mauli. Well, you can call us the Feminist bunch of the forum. My name is Tia. Usually I open this thread as a safe haven to discuss our opinion and thoughts. I am now in Mexico for vacation. So Ashi and Rose are opening the thread. Rose will open the thread the rest of this week. I will be back next Monday to open the thread.

As you see, we discuss anything and everything here. So feel free to chime in anytime. 😃

Hi everyone,

I recently started to watch the show and have been lurking around the forum to get a feel of it.

I tend to go on and on, so apologies if this turns out to be a long ass essay 😃

I started watching the show after I noticed it was recommended by a lot of sites. I liked the initial episodes (about first 120) a lot but then I started to feel lost. Suddenly, I felt like the show lost the plot. Not sure if production house succumbed to trp pressure or the channel executives but I couldn't understand it anymore. And the tracks that came after that only resulted in leaving the feminist in me more disgruntled. I understand that is a fictional show and I understand creative liberty but I can't see where the show is heading anymore.

I came to forum and was shocked by so many opposing views. I read quite a lot of posts and kind of went into a downward spiral mentally reading some of the opinions. This thread(popularly known as Tia's thread) is the one I found I most resonate with which is why I am posting this here.

I am not able to grasp how some people still find fault with whatever Sonakshi does. I mean, unless I missed a couple of episodes in which Sona boiled puppies and kittens in her evil cave, I don't see what she did so wrong that garners all this hate.

Reading comments from all you guys on this thread has been a pleasure. I found some solace in reading the views here. I think you guys here have a great thing going. I have actually started to look forward to this thread everyday. Keep up the good work!

And Happy women's day!!!

Tia here only you will get people
Someone is telling sona not made full efffeort
She should have aborted
If sona would be asha then the relationship would have worked
Don't know they are human or I can say they are same people coming in those categories like my neighbour
World is really cruelest or cruel
