Loved the Me: part! 😃
I am glad those who were having doubts about Sona's contract can see why it had to be made! Ishwari's mission of making Soha Bose to Soha Dixit will have interesting repercussions. I just hope Dev grows up meanwhile to support Sona and Soha this time. Maybe the Summer camp will help him in that direction! 😊

Actually people like Ishwaris can never be happy. They will always find out some small issues to feel unhappy and make the whole atmosphere gloomy.

Thanks for the appreciation everybody🤗I am gonna give a combined reply here.
@Bucky Soha is a star. The Dixits ended up doing the best thing for Soha and she was raised wonderfully. The story would have been totally different if she had grown up in Dixit house.

@Avengers Ishwari just believes in creating Ishwaribots(awesome term PK😆)She'll only be happy if the child has no mind of their own and is completely dependent for the smallest tasks.Golu is the neglected child in Dixit house. She and Dev can do no wrong. They were dealt a bad hand and now they are in a permanent state of suffereing. So everything they do is right and they have a right over everythingEverybody is jumping around in happiness to welcome Soha but nobody is bothered about the child who is already part of their family.Sad state of affairs really. They only bother about anybody else if it benefits them.
When does Dev ever think before he acts? He is excluding Sona but it's impossible to win Soha's heart without Sona's involvement. He pampered Golu but did he really raise him well? He's all fun and games with him but hasn't really taught Golu about right and wrong but then he must understand that himself first🤔
Bijoy has been over reacting in almost every episode now.I hope the CVs are not trying to put him in bad light to justify Ishwari or equate them😕

@ areeba_blossom True. There's nothing disrespectful about wanting to do things by yourself. But Ishwari creates an uproar about anything & everything as always.

@Husna I too had my issues with Rahul's character(after a certain age though, loved that movie as a child😆) but no comparison with Dev. I would join you in hitting Dev just like gif because that's how I felt after watching him doing "maa tum bhagwan" ho again.

@PK Congratulations🤗🥳Celebrate this special & joyous news with your SIL and family.
@ Shailu :Awesome images. 😆Totally reflect our emotions.

@Tia Glad you are having fun😃Enjoy the swim with dolphins. Wonderfully written about the hypocrisy of expectations.I have truly never understood this comparison & justification of Dev's blunders. Sona has a good support system so she is expected to perform 100% but Dev doesn't have it so if he performs 2% too, then he is perfect because oh poor baby, nobodyloves him😭 .He is the writer of his destiny. He was given the chance to have a wonderful wife and family along with a strong support system but he chose to disregard it.Now he is suffering the consequences.

@fandw Blindly following his mother and not speaking up when she says something wrong has always been Dev's problem. In a healthy parent-child relationship, the children don't hesitate to share their opinions or present contradicting views. But that has never been the case here.Dev has always allowed his mother to run his life.

@PP Thanks for the rose🤗Loving your take on each scene & fully agree.

@ serialwatcher Yes,children decide according to their mood & comfort zone. And mostly such liberties are taken with mothers even after growing up.Although, personally I take that liberty with my dad too during exams sometimes.😆

@idreamy Ishwari is truly unbearable. Soha was the saving grace.

@Gauri Expecting Dev to change towards Ishwari has become like expecting pigs to fly.I have no hopes in that regard.Where is our lovely Jatin

@minnie2308 Dev 2 really was an introductory offer to lure us into watching. Ishwari is another name for double standards & hypocrisy.Yes, some people are ready to lash out at Boses already and waiting for them to make a mistake but I think the new dynamics will be interesting to watch and Boses will handle everything gracefully as they always do.

@gillter5 Sona's decision regarding contract was perfect. The Dixits can fall to any level to get what they want and this would protect Soha & Sona.

@astrix90 Yes,grandparents find happiness in doing such small things but Ishwari has always been obsessive and that ruins it for the viewers.Instead of understanding Soha and just loving her for who she is, she is busy finding faults & blaming Sona. She is hoping to use Soha to make Dev dance to her tunes again.(He already is,but not in her eyes I guess😕)The CVs sare also obsessed with Ishwari's character. They make everything about her.The break up,the wedding, the pregnancy/infertility track etc. Instead of being about Dev & Sonakshi,it was made all about Ishwari. I can see the same is happening with Soha too.

@jasw Thanks😊If summer camp makes Dev act like an adult, then great. But if nothing else could do it in the past so many years, will a summer camp really help? It would be amazing to watch Soha's response to Ishwari when Ishwari tries to "transforn" her.True, people like Ishwari can never be happy

I hope I didn't miss anyone.If I did,please tell me so that I can add a reply to that.

I'd like to say something totally unrelated to today's episode. But I feel I should point out the hypocrisy of expectations from a man and a woman.

Since tomorrow (today in India) is International Women's Day, I feel this is somewhat appropriate.

I have read posts and comments where people felt Dev was shortchanged by putting what Sonakshi have vs. what Dev have and since Sonakshi has more than Dev, so of course the scale should be balanced by loading Dev's side with sympathy!!!

Now that seems a balanced, equal concept on paper. But is it really?

But let's break it down.

What does Dev have?

Why he has his family. You know the one for whom he always shoved Sonakshi's need on the back burner and still doing so. He has his mother who was his Goddess whom he still conveniently absolves of all blame and pass on her share of blame on Sonakshi.

In that sense, Dev have the family he chose and Sonakshi has the family she chose. So every thing is balanced, yes?

But Dev's family is not loving and supportive like Sonakshi's family.

So? What can be done about it? He had an option to be part of that family which he lost because he always prioritized his family over everyone including his wife. Now whining about having a shitty family when he realized that his Goddess betrayed him is the same as someone throwing a diamond away for glass and then whining to the jewelers to pay the same price as the diamond for that piece of glass because now he has less.

That's not how real world works.

Well, Sonakshi has Soha.

Dev had Sonakshi's beloved cousin and her child whom his family forbade to keep contact with her family who loved her like their own daughter and he didn't once said to Elena not to break her relationship with her family or tell his family not to force Elena to pick sides on his expense. So no fair treatment there. He was perfectly happy to have Elena and her son exclusively pick his side just like he was happy to accept his mother's exclusive attention knowing his mother deprived his sisters at his expense. Yet Sonakshi is expected to treat Dev with fairness.

Why? Who did he treat fairly to deserve fair treatment himself? Even today I didn't see him introducing Golu to his Masi while he happily introduced Soha to her Masi? He knew how close Elena and Sonakshi were. Then why wasn't he held responsible for hogging Golu's fawning all to himself?

But Dev gave Elena a choice when Sonakshi came back to town. It's not his fault that she did not take it.

Sonakshi also gave Soha a choice which she didn't take at that time. But the moment Soha expressed her wish to see Dev, the way she wanted to meet Dev - Sonakshi honoured everyone of her wish. How are we still blaming Sonakshi?

Soha is pining for her dad. A good family will understand her pain.

Elena has mentioned many times that she is pining for her family and want to meet them, yet no one is thinking about her (not even Dev who apparently had taken over Elena's brother's position).

But Bose family was expected to understand Soha's unspoken plea to meet her father and make it happen. Even Saurabh was held responsible for it.

Soha was held "not normal" like Golu because she was not fawning over Dev. Had Golu turned against Dev, he will be Devil's spawn in an instant.

Soha was blamed for being more loyal to Sonakshi. Well of course she will be. Even if Sonakshi tries, can she make Golu more loyal to her than Dev? She has twice the relationship with Golu than Dev. She is his Masi and ex-chachi. She can't. Why? Because Golu's every memory is entwined with Dev, just like Soha's every memory is entwined with Sonakshi.

So no, Bose family didn't need to brainwash Soha for her deciding to make Dev earn his position as a father.

Now Sonakshi even have a handsome friend. Not fair.

Friends are not luck of the draw. Dev had numerous girlfriends. No one had stopped him from making friends even with any of them or even marry any of them.

Dev was heartbroken and single, so he was just trying to forget Sonakshi. He actually still loves Sonakshi.

Great. But how is that anyone else's problem? If he can't get over Sonakshi and by dating random woman in random hotel rooms help him forget Sonakshi, great.

The same way if having a great family and great friend or even a life partner, makes Sonakshi move on in her life, why is it such a crime?

Sonakshi is sorted only because she had Soha.

In the first break up, she didn't have Soha. She was still sorted because her family was beside her even though she still loved Dev and wanted to go back to him..

This time, she hated Dev and never wanted to see his face, why wouldn't she get over her pain with her family's support?

Soha was a miracle which enriched her life. But Sonakshi never needed a crutch to find the meaning of her own life.

Dev is showing his pain through his eyes and his harassment. Sonakshi is cold without any feelings.

So? Is there any written document which says everyone has to express their feelings the same way? In that case, Sonakshi is respecting Dev by minding her own business, where is the same respect from Dev's side?

Ironically, the accusations that were thrown at Sonakshi for not being able to be a mother, for being a gold digger, a home wrecker who pretended to care for her husband's family, was granted by God after she left the people who accused her.

It seems God believes in poetic justice to grant her every single thing she was mocked, insulted, humiliated for after she walked out from a toxic environment - Money, success, friend, family's loyal support every step of the way and a miracle child.

Yet, God didn't grant Dev true love a second time which he was told that he doesn't deserve because he mocked true love.

May be to be worthy of blessings, you have to deserve it and work for it. Nothing comes free, not even blessings and good luck. Karma pays for them as reward/punishment for our actions.

Such a mesmerising and thunderous post. Totally on point. 👏👏

Dev is truly one of a kind. I still can clearly remember his mockingly derisive tone when he'd snatched the phone from Sonakshi's hand and said " Mr Bijoy Bose. ."
I couldn't forget how mad he was when Sonakshi proclaimed herself as Sonakshi Bijoy Bose.
That mocking arrogant glance he threw at him when he came inside the Bose house carrying Sonakshi to make an impression in front of Soha.
And yet when he'd a purpose in his mind, to get permission from Sonakshi to take out Soha to meet his mother suddenly Bijoy became 'baba'.
What a cunning man!

expecting dev and ishwari to change is like expecting donkey to understand brainy lessons... Soha is really a gem who stood for her mother.. And showed she is strong enough to do her work independently...
But in all above I appreciate sona... Because for her facing the family and her ex... Who insulted her and her family her profession ..etc and the list goes on... Sending her daughter to such a place is not just difficult decision but a tough decision she could have restricted her daughter to meet them but sent her thus respecting her daughter's decision.. She could have called soha 100 times ... But yet decided to respect her daughter's privacy... Unlike ishwari who interferes in each and every matter...
..i just loved the way asha supported sona... And their talks unlike dev and ishwari.. Because one was a friendly talk and other looks a commanding one...
...
Sona, soha asha dida represent a strong woman who stay independently ...and work independently... But who loves their family a lot... I would like to include ishwari too because she had enough courage to live and work for her children rather than crying over her husband 's death... Whether sona or ishwari... Being a single woman independent mother isn't easy because each time they go up the society tries to pull them down...
. Soo cheers to all the woman who manage thier family work children career... All together and work giving equal importance to all equally...it Isn't a easy task... So proud to be a girl a woman... Happy womens day...!!! Be a proud woman...

Tons of congratulations PK on being elevated to the status of Mami. ⭐️

Sometimes a thought crosses my mind that the freedom that I enjoy today is because some women and men over the years have continuously pushed the envelope, have not been satisfied with just what was handed out, continuously fought for me and other women when they could have just sat back and accepted the prevalent norm.
My heart and soul goes out to them today. So a big thanks from me for being unreasonable, dissatisfied, angry.

Thank you to all you girls here for being you.

Happy women's Day!

Hi everyone,

I recently started to watch the show and have been lurking around the forum to get a feel of it.

I tend to go on and on, so apologies if this turns out to be a long ass essay 😃

I started watching the show after I noticed it was recommended by a lot of sites. I liked the initial episodes (about first 120) a lot but then I started to feel lost. Suddenly, I felt like the show lost the plot. Not sure if production house succumbed to trp pressure or the channel executives but I couldn't understand it anymore. And the tracks that came after that only resulted in leaving the feminist in me more disgruntled. I understand that is a fictional show and I understand creative liberty but I can't see where the show is heading anymore.

I came to forum and was shocked by so many opposing views. I read quite a lot of posts and kind of went into a downward spiral mentally reading some of the opinions. This thread(popularly known as Tia's thread) is the one I found I most resonate with which is why I am posting this here.

I am not able to grasp how some people still find fault with whatever Sonakshi does. I mean, unless I missed a couple of episodes in which Sona boiled puppies and kittens in her evil cave, I don't see what she did so wrong that garners all this hate.

Reading comments from all you guys on this thread has been a pleasure. I found some solace in reading the views here. I think you guys here have a great thing going. I have actually started to look forward to this thread everyday. Keep up the good work!

And Happy women's day!!!
