OMG, yes!!! 😳This made me really uncomfortable as well, for one because she is blatantly objectifying her kid who is a separate human being with her own feelings, and also because she is using Soha as a secret weapon of validation. Dev steals her professional achievement? No problem, she has Soha and he doesn't. Dev saunters into a hotel room with another woman? No problem she has Soha and he doesn't. So far, the damage hasn't been too bad because there isn't really a choice for Soha between Sona and Dev, but Sona's words will haunt Soha when she actually does meet her dad and, god forbid, likes him. Then all of this talk about her being her mother's achievement, her reason for living, will come back to her, she will feel crushed with guilt for being drawn to her father, and she might push him away as a result, not because she wants to but because she doesn't want to hurt her mother.Full-on Ishwari vibes. 😕

@Samanalyse. I have to say it, I love all your analysis on the show. I haven't been watching regularly but caught up with some bits today. But I think your comments are spot on.Sona not telling the Dixits about Soha is a very grey scenario and opens up a lot of similar relationship dynamics to what the Dixits brought in earlier.Your last comment actually made me wonder if we are in for a bit of reversal of roles? On one hand we have Sona whose lifeline is in her child having to contend with the fear of losing her, just as what Ishwari's fears were all along. At the same time Ishwari is now going to want to convince Sona that the Dixit's loving Soha isn't going to take away from the mother-child relationship.

I don't think Sona has Ishwari vibes. If she had she would not have told about Dev, just my thoughts.I don't think they ever thought how they react if they come in front of each other, may be thought since they are over the other person it doesn't matter. But once they saw everything went to toss.On other hand I am thinking now, Sona promised Soha it is her wish if she wants to meet her dad before meeting Dev,but now may be she changes her word.We have to see..

To add to your post payal, the more public this gets, the worse Dev will become. I am hoping someone (Asha aunty?) will make sonakshi realise this aspect of Dev's personality. Perhaps the silent investor if true, will spur that discussion. [/DIV]

DQ. The write up is very good but woefully pro-Dev. It completely ignores his own faults in breaking of his marriage. Sonakshi was wrong when she didn't pay any heed to his pleadings in the farmhouse but dev was no less to blame. The way he had thrown her out of his house in the morning was abhorrent and that too in conjunction with his entire family! That is an insult no woman can easily forget. Sonakshi is constantly shown remembering exactly that scene in the flashbacks
