After watching yesterdays episode I am amused by Ishwari's accusation. If Sonakshi is responsible for everything happened in there why she was punishing herself all these years . In the past she had justified herself for not paying enough attention to her daughters with poverty . But what is her reason for ignoring her other kids for all these years ? Her son broke her relation with her ? What kind of mother does that ?

ok my POV on Jan 20th episode...

i think this is more realistic... See Dev has love-hate relationship with Sona... Love is burried deep under several layers of hate that she didnt stick around when he needed her the most... according to him he is a victim... fine

So .. he is divorced and it has been 7 yrs and he might be mad that Sona never even looked back or tried to see what he is up to or how he is handling himself... another blame game...

He is single and ideally after a divorce, no man or woman will stay single if they do have options to move on unless they are still madly in love with their Exs and they just want to drop the idea of having another realtionship.

Here if i understand it right, for the past few years .. Dev has been making friends with girls but the moment when the girl asks to take it to next relationship (physical)... i think he is withdrawing as he constantly remembers sonakshi and her words... so he is not able to move forward...

I think this is what he meant in the precap also...samething will happen in his room... sonakshi's FBs and her thoughts will disturb him and he wont be able to take the next step in the relationship... so he just goes out of the room and starts banging on sona's room and starts screaming... you cant just hide behind the closed doors after interfering in my life ... etc.

So yes... Dev did not become devdas but he tried to get into relationships but he failed miserably and ... he is still trying but cant proceed...

my thoughts

ps: i dont know how the CVS will bring these two together again ... i didnt feel that sona was jeaolous ... she just acted maturely and she understood that dev has a right to move on and do what ever he wants with his life as they are now divorced. She doesnt treat Dev as her property👏

Today's episode have stolen my sleep. I am feeling so restless. 7 years is a very long period. But everyone is stuck at the same place. The picture is incomplete and hence incomprehensible to them. It is a war of heart and mind. They know what happened but their heart knows it can't be. Or else they all would have made their peace with their past. The moment they got a glimpse of each other all the facade or the survival stunts they used became ineffective. They wanted to believe that they have moved on. The other person can't hurt them anymore. Both tried to hurt each other with an air of indifference as if it won't affect them anymore. But how can you be happy when even a complete stranger takes you back to the memory of the only period where you were genuinely happy, when your daughter is more like her father whom she haven't even met.
I felt for Dev more today. His interactions with his family genuinely gave me hope that he is in a better place. But today I lost that hope. Sona's final words have had a lasting impact. He won't be able to live with this misery for long unless he faces the past demons.
Sona had ample support and hope in the form of her daughter. But she is on a mission to prove how wrong Dev was about her. The more you try the more he will resist showing how broken he is. Only when one of you crumble the other will show their vulnerable side. So bring it on. Throw everything you have to each other. If it makes you both see the real you then don't pull your punches back.

👏very nicely written.
Loved it sona has hope as soha😊 Dev is really buried in Sona's thoughts. Also hope his liver is ok from all that drinking.🤔
One thing about Ishwari is how can't she understand her role after Dev openly blamed her.She is still in such denial mode blaming everything on Sona.

A week old Season 2 seems to have grown on me. I am liking this smirky Dev and smouldering Sonakshi. Let's get the elephant in the room out of the way first -

Does Dev flirt with women? Highly likely, he did so with Golu's teacher

Does Dev have casual relationships with women on a regular basis? - We don't know.

Does Dev bring women to the (Coral?) suite on a regular basis? - We don't know

Does Dev spend his time in this suite on a regular basis? - Yes

Were Dev and Shruti going to have an action packed night tonight? - Highly likely

Does any of this matter? - may be. Not to me

What really matters is, Dev is getting himself sorted. The Season 1 Dev couldn't even say no to Natasha, needed his mother's nutritionist to deflect potential girlfriends and needed his sisters to make him realise where his real love lay. Season 2 Dev asked Shruti to have a drink and have a good time and his body language made it clear he wasn't ready for a serious relationship. Shruti had three options - she could pick her stuff and leave, she could have a drink and have a nice time with Dev or she could cling on to him. She got told off for making the wrong choice; he apologised for his actions but didn't deny that his ex-wife's thoughts still plague him. This last bit is a huge take-away for me this week. When Dev closes his eyes he still sees sonakshi. When Dev listens to what his organ called heart has to say to him, he hears Sonakshi's voice. Now he can either deal with these feelings and actively work on moving on or live with this feeling till it doesn't go away. My heart bled when I realised the amount of alcohol he was consuming. (Shaheer is doing a great job of acting like a high functioning alcoholic). Season 1 Dev couldn't handle this much alcohol. He seems to have built some stamina there. (Eh Dev... do you still work on your biceps?)

WiFi Connection

As far as Dev was concerned, after the award function his rat-a-tat with Sonakshi ended. He had a genuine smile on his face. He called her akdu and bad-tameez(akdu ka pati maha akdu!) and had moved on for that evening. However, seeing her at the hotel made him happy. Now it's debatable whether he was happy because he can wind her up further or he was happy just having her in his ecosystem. If you ask me, this is the last bit of The Dev Dixit that needs sorting. He is still that same stalker at a subconscious level. As soon as she is within his wifi range, his heart goes beep beep beep...

His shoulders drooped and the whole oomph went away when he entered the room with Shruti. Again, no wifi connection there.

Was Sonakshi jealous? - yes, just like any ex-wife who is still affected by her ex-husband's love affairs would be.

How can I be so sure? - Her pause when Ginni spoke to her and then her reaction when the housekeeping said he can't disturb Dev. She acted like a high school girl. That feeling is still there. Again, she can deal with it or let it linger. I still don't see what Sonakshi's plan to deal with Dev was. She was certain she will run into Dev on this trip. Firstly, they are now in the same field. And secondly, Dev would be an invitee at the function. This is where I am not very clear on how things have improved in Sonakshi's head in Season 2. Was she going to take the bull by the horn? Bijoy's reservations with regards to not sending the girls to Delhi were well placed. He knows Sona will run into Dev and he knows she is still affected by his presence. Her eyes said it all. Sonakshi is still the same. Too busy keeping everyone happy, passing credit to others and losing sight of the bigger picture. Sonakshi probably expected a different Dev. The one she left in that farmhouse that fateful night.

I am not at all surprised that even after 7 years, Bijoy and Asha & Ishwari and mamaji are having the same discussions. When their children haven't moved on, how can Bijoy and Ishwari's anxieties and thought processes change.

Soha has mentioned her dad a few times this week already and I can't figure out how her presence has been kept a secret for 6 years. Welcome to Delhi, Soha!

The hot topic today about if Dev's casanova status, and as expected it's created a lot of perspectives (Smart move by the CVs once again!)😆

My two cents:

I don't think any of Dev's flings in these 7 years reached the point of physical intimacy. It's really not about rooting for DevAkshi or not believing that people can have physical relationships without any sort of commitment. People are definitely capable, and to each their own. I won't see it as a moral issue as long as you don't harm the other person. The term casual relationship I would relate to as harmless dating where each individual would have certain limits they wish not to cross.

My reason for not believing this is Dev Dixit 2.0 is because of Dev Dixit 1.0. People change, circumstances change, situations change, but I think fundamentals remain the same. Dev has always come across as this guy who forms emotional attachments with the people he cares about and that's what he craves as well. Basically someone to say that they do care about him, and that person has to be someone he cares about as well. Yes, a man has his needs but with Dev, his emotions always seemed to overpower everything else. End of the day, these emotional desires usually translate into the other desires/needs he holds. So for the time being he can put on a mask that he doesn't need any emotions, and he only wants to do things "no-strings attached". But the inner child in him will keep drawing boundaries around him without realizing.

And I also think he stays at that hotel regularly, just because he doesn't stay at home anymore. It could also be that the girl came there to meet him.

Hi supercool3 . Nice analysis. Hope you're right. For me it's a mixed bag. He casually saying go sleep is not something you say to someone who has come to meet you.

I remember when he realizes he loves sona & calls Natasha to break off the engagement, she holds his hand & immediately he shrugs it off. That's what he was. Today this girl was all over him & no reaction.

Still will have to wait till Monday to see what is the truth.

Hopefully they haven't pushed dev so far that it's not possible for them to get together. I did sign up for a love story with a happy ending!

I would love if this is true but the use of words like hanky panky, casual relationships, hotel rooms being used repeatedly thrown on us is really indicating something else. And why would Sona come back to such a casonova ex husband and being the father of her daughter doesn't seem only reason coz she has been doing this successfully for so many years and she didn't seem bitter about her past like Dev than why would she go back to him how will she love him back 😕

Lavanya , somehow I doubt if that would be the case . I'm very disappointed with Sona after watching todays n yesterdays episode . She says she is very much aware of his childish behavior .But how does she act, she just naively took his bait . I was sure she would be intrigued by this new Dev but thought she would be matured enough to ignore it . She is very much affected with what she saw in the corridor and I have an intuition that she may do something about it to instigate him . Maybe Dev was only retaliating .

Anyway she got him arrested for trespassing . If it was upto this forum it would have been for immoral trafficking 😉

His present condition is as similar as Sona's condition after their previous break up. Both desperately wanted to make a statement that they are moved on using a third party but failed miserably. Coming to whether he is doing right or not, I feel he is a free man and has every right to live his life the way he wants as similar as how Sona had every right to live her life the way she wants after their first break up.

Keeping aside all rights and wrongs, I always felt Dev's needs towards Sona was always more towards emotional level and their physical relationship is a act of showing how much they love each other. Just because he is in a hotel room with some XYZ girl doesn't mean he is coming there for full filling his physical needs. He always used to find peace in Sona's presence and if we see his scene with yesterday's random girl including his flash backs that's what he is not able to find now.
