Exactly, and I think this is where DQ's idea -- that seeing Sona is an item on Dev's bucket list -- makes a lot of sense. As we know from the segment, in the initial confrontation after his and Sona's huge fight and break-up, there was a lot of anger, pain, and grief directed at Ishwari. Though we don't know exactly how, he has somehow made his peace with Ishwari in the last seven years, and is able to interact with her without getting worked up or upset, even when she drags in the most sensitive of subjects. With Sona, he never had that opportunity for closure and detachment. He knows there is still emotion there, and I think he wants to close that chapter and truly be free before he starts living his new, burden-free life.

That plan miiight get derailed a tiny bit 😆

Sam, I hope you are right about the Hip Flask being Dev's way of rationing his alcohol consumption. It may also be his way be being tongue-in-cheek and drinking at somewhat inappropriate situations. Although, my worst fear is, has he become an alcoholic and rather than sitting in a maykhana, carries a mobile maykhana with him?

@Sam, Some how I missed dq's bucket list post, this may be true also. I completely agree with you on his intentions about face off with Sona. From the time I saw the Dev- ish confrontation segment, I thought he will definitely settle the score with Sona also one fine day. Because he never cared about what the entire world thinks about him? It's always about what these two women thinks about him? In the Friday's episode, they both trusted gkb and vikky over him and that really pained him alot. On top that prenup which completely killed his trust on the most important relationship in his life. As per the segment ishwari got her share long back but sona's share is still pending. Let's see when we will see those fire works.😆

I Love the yesterdays episode. For dev ishu is not a god. but still she has not learn any thing. She is accepting all the changes because she is not having any other option because now she cannot manipulate Dev. She is not having any control on dev. Can you imagine the son who used to pick up his mother's call in business meeting now are not interested in making a single call to her and donot want to inquire about her health. The dev who used to come to his mother and used to check that she is taking her medicine or not is not asking her about her health. You know I want to put the point which I have mention in my other post that is Dev should learn and this learning will happen when he will lose his mother. He has given all importance to his mother not even himself. You know when the things goes beyond the limit they get destroyed. Dev and Ishu relation now leading to that stage where it will break. then there will be new Dev. I want to give you the example of harry potter in that book in the last when harry itself knows that some part of voldemort is inside him and he should die according to dembeldor 's instruction. Dembledor was a wise man he knows if harry accepts the death without fighting his mother love will protect him and voldemort will distroy its own part which is inside harry. The same is happening with dev and Ishu's relation Ishu itself is killing this relation but sona love will protect the dev before he completely get destroyed. So the same has happened Ishu itsself killed the his devotional son. Now the Dev which we saw is the New Dev. and Stil we are able to see the dev alive is only because of Sona's Love which is burried under the pain in dev's mind. and For today lets get ready to see how dev and sona trying to show each other they don't affect each other. But the truth is only they can affect each other.

Hey Sam and all here I have a question

The Tag Line of this show ( original) was what do we lose or gain when we decide matters of the hearts with our head or something along those lines ...

Your thoughts

In this new phase are they using their head whereas they used their hearts previously?

If so what did they lose by using the heart and what will they gain by using the head

Not sure whether the Tag Libe is valid now ..but was just curious

Great analysis ladies!

Each & everyone's take on the show seems to be like finding a piece of the puzzle! Hopefully the cvs put it all together in a relatable manner.

Interesting days ahead with so many loops still open. The story line & chemistry between the leads keeps us wanting more & more.

Hi Gemini,

In season 1, all of the leads used their heads and not their hearts to make decision.

Ishwari -- After Dev - Sonakshi's marriage, the only one time she listened to her heart and told the truth was during breaking Riya's proposal and her talk with Sonakshi. Every other time she used her head which was clouded with insecurity. That was the reason she trusted Vickky over Dev regarding evicting Bose family from their house. That was also the reason why maami and Vickky were successful in instigating Ishwari successfully.

Dev -- He also used his head and not his heart. In his heart he knew he could never do something like evicting Bose family from their house. But he chose to listen to his head which said "you were drunk. You probably don't remember it, but you are the reason they are on the street". When Sonakshi comes to the farm house he starts off by apologizing for something he kind of knows that he did not do it. If he did not start that way, probably Sonakshi would have listened to him at least a little. She might have even listened to his explanation regarding the prenup.

Sonakshi -- Since the slapping of Bijoy, Sonakshi mainly listened to her head than her heart. When Vickky says that it was Dev's order to evict them from their home, she immediately believes that he is capable of that. It is Saurabh who reminds her that Dev is not like that and she should talk to him. Till the time Dev says get out, Sonakshi did listen partly to her heart. But when their family is evicted she stopped listening to her heart completely. Her head took over and she believed Vickky instead of Dev.

But in this season, it looks like Dev and Sonakshi's head is cleared. They have the baggage of the past, but also are not that influenced by others when it comes to themselves. They have learnt to use their instincts and their heart instead of what they hear from others(parents, brother, maami, etc. ). When they meet and things start coming out(and it will come out!!! The baggage they are carrying is too big for them not to confront each other), they will listen to their hearts and not their head anymore.

Thanks Shaavi for the take I for one think Sona and Dev used their heart and not their head to make decisions in season 1 and Easwari used her head to manipulate the situation my take in blue

Easwari used her head to cheat during the Pre Nup signature, She used her head to get Ritwik alliance , she used her Head to convince Sona to marry Dev, She used her head to absolve herself of any wrongdoing in the break up of Dev and Sona both times. She used her head to convince Dev to give Vicky the job even though she knew that he was good for nothing more to show her one up manship over Sona

Dev was a very emotional person so he used his heart when he broke up with Natasha to pursue Sona, Broke up with Sona in a knee jerk reaction where he was purely taken over by emotions..no rational thinking, he used his heart when he lied about Sona being pregnant, he used his heart in an emotional state when he threw Sona out when Easwari fell ..so in essence used his heart more than the head..especially when head needed to be used

Sona used her heart when she decided to marry Dev without solving the main issue of the breakup, she used her heart when she tried too hard to fit in the Dixit household..especially when she wanted to please Easwari because all signs were there that whatever she did Easawri was not going to accept it. She used her heart when she agreed for infertility treatment and the Simla trip even knowing what that trip was for, used her heart when she refused to speak to Dev after her fathers insult, used her heart when she believed that Dev could evict her ...because if she knew the real Dev using her head she would know that he would never do what he did..so really took an emotional decision..a knee jerk one too

But in this season, it looks like Dev and Sonakshi's head is cleared. They have the baggage of the past, but also are not that influenced by others when it comes to themselves. They have learnt to use their instincts and their heart instead of what they hear from others(parents, brother, maami, etc. ). When they meet and things start coming out(and it will come out!!! I think this reason they will use their heads to gauge the situation before jumping heart first because they have been hurt..and if they only use the head they can lose what the heart desires for in real life we do need to use BOTH the head and the heart depending on situations
