You know Saumie, since Friday I was reading a post on people saying that Dev said those harsh words to push Sonakshi away so that she can be happy.

I didn't think that made sense. Because Dev was not sober when he said those things. He was drunk and past examples has shown that he speaks what he believes is the truth when he is drunk. He also forgets every thing he said the next morning. Now I don't know if CV will remain consistent with their script.

Anyhoo, the point is that your post makes more sense to me.

Dev did say those things to Sonakshi and he meant it.

However what he said was the lowest blow anyone can give to a woman. Only a woman knows that how it feels when someone puts her self-respect, self-worth and her womanhood in question specially the man for whom she fought the world, her own family, her self-respect and put up with insults and humiliation.

Dev had done NOTHING in comparison to what Sonakshi had done for him.

One thing people kept bringing up as an example of Dev being a good husband is that he married Sonakshi despite knowing about her infertility. But by putting pressure on her for fertility treatment at his mother's whim when Sonakshi was at her own lowest point and her heart was broken, not to mention by throwing her infertility in her face, he even negated that little bit of claim at being a good husband.

So sorry when I can't call him a loving husband or even a decent human being.

He had the guts to love but he didn't have the guts to stand up for that love.

So whether he is flirting with other girls to show off or actually having full-blown affairs are least of my concern.

All I know that Dev can only offer a woman money (which he has plenty of and which is the only thing Ishwari doesn't disapprove as long as the charity stays outside. He can't offer a woman which Ishwari doesn't put her stamp of approval on) and those women want his money. So that is a perfect match.

Sonakshi and him were never a good match. What she needed, he didn't have Ishwari's approval to commit. Even his baby came with Ishwari's approval stamp as a condition. It was never Sonakshi and Dev's marriage, it was Ishwari's marriage enacted by Dev and Sonakshi.

Well...talk about sonakshi fault too once...taali ek haat SE nhi bachti 😆

Yes he said wrong but the situation and conditions are also equally used for what he said...he just said after all things happened with him...all r blaming him for mistake he didn't...mo one beleived. Him and even sona the person he chooses over his mother didn't believe... He lost faith in love after that and then he believed that things which gkb mostly said about sonakshi...because of anger and all things happened before that... He just reacted after losing his cool...but yaa,it's hard word but it's all frustrations came out after all drama happened with him.

Superb post Saumie. I want to see how they proceed from here. To see a couple who were so much in love estranged is very painful. Their love and commitment for each other was what we waited to watch every day. I will miss their Miss Khargosh, Mr Obodhro diaglogues very badly. I hope we will not have to wait 60 more episodes to see them love each other again. I hope they soon clear their misunderstandings fall in love again and this time stand strong with and for each other (even if it means against ishwari or bijoy too) and fight all odds together. Waise how long and how many episodes do you all think it will take for them to shed the act they are putting up (of hating each other) and give in to their real emotions coz i cannot accept that they both have stopped loving each other.

I loved your post ...
Dev might be with another girl but he definitely want to know if his presence affected her..
Sona was affected by the scene but she has advantage over Dev , his daughter is there as her emotional support which he lacks. She gave birth to a part of him...their love ..their daughter.

What Dev missed these 7 yrs is something that he can never get back. The beautiful face of pregnancy. When he could just keep the hand on her tummy and feel that tiny kicks making him aware that a part of him is growing with in her...being with her while she pushes their lil one to this world. Being able to the first one to hold their lil daughter...all the milestones of their daughter...holding hands, smiling, baby talks, falling on tummy, first step, first word, curious lil one messing with his things ..one kindergarten day...first day at school ...listening to the talks abt her school friends...teaching her etc...a lot more...

Well...I am curious to know what Dev's reaction will be when he gets to know that lil girl is his child !! Sona hid her from him!! Biggest revenge that she could give it to him and his family !!

PS : Hell has no fury like a woman scorned !!

I really understand ur post and what u r trying to say and agree with you but am confused about that issue where dev said bad about sona... And some were saying that dev intentionally said to her to leave him...because on Twitter mamta mam(producer) also confirmed it on post about fans supporting dev

Hmm, I saw that tweet too.. Mamta mam teeeting with TeamDev hashtag, it got me confused as well..but if you keep that single tweet aside, there is no other reason to support that Dev did it to push Sonakshi away from him intentionally.
Because-
1) then it would mean he has been enacting a bad boy role for last 7 years...which is highly unlikely.
2) that would mean he still cared for her and knew abt her whereabouts after 7 years...but that would also mean he knows about his daughter. Dev cann stay away from suhana for so long..after knowing she is his daughter.
3.) He would have disappeared completely from her sight if he really wanted to push her away. Or would have acted a casanova right after the quash, not 7 years after it.

This is why I think Dev said all that to free himself. To convince himself that his relationship was superficial. That true love doesn't exist and to give himself a severe heartbreak to come out of his attachment to sona.

Thank you Ashwathy di😳
Oh I agree with all words of yours! I think all these 7 years, the most beautiful and unrepeatable moments of his daughter's and Sonakshi's life being snatched from him, in itself is Dev's biggest punishment.
I feel so bad for him for no matter how much he tries later, he will never be able to relive those moments.
And yes, In a way god has gifted Sonakshi with suhana, to help her sail through the problems. Having a child to take care of, to nurture her and to be emotionally involved with her, certainly helps in tough times.
Here, Dev doesn't have anyone. Not even his mother...he thus finds solace in temporary flings.
P.S loved your PS👏😆
